Machines keep installing the same Security Essentials updates over and over

Question

Has anyone seen this problem before?  The updates are installed but every few minutes I get the notification that there are new updates available.  It is the same definition updates for security essentials.  It is not happening on just 1
machine but all of them.

Yep. Generally caused because you've not done housekeeping on the ancient Definition Updates, and the supersession list for a Definition Update is not that long.
DECLINE all Definition Updates that are older than a week.
Run the Server Cleanup Wizard once a month to automatically decline all of the EXPIRED Definition Updates.
