Macintosh Creative Suite 6 package built with AAMEE 3.1 fails to install

I'm trying to create a new install CS6 Standard package for Macintosh using AAMEE 3.1.
All machines are new iMacs running 10.8.4.
I walk through the process of building the package, provide serial number, adobe login, and configure the setup. The package seems to be created without any errors or problems.
When I try to install the package on a machine, installation starts and runs for a minute or two, then stops showing the folllowing error:
The installation failed.
The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
When I look at the Adobe setup error log, I see this message:

Uninstalling AAM
I have tried using the default settings for creating a new package. I've also tried making various changes from the defaults, such as disabling checking for conflicting applications, enabling AIR, and changing what updates are applied. The result is always the same error when I try to install the package.
There's no possibility of a conflict with a previous version of CS or something like that. I am literally doing this process on brand new Macs right out of the box, with a freshly downloaded copy of AAMEE, and a freshly downloaded DMG for CS6.
The log refers to "assuming uninstall mode" and "Cannot proceed with the uninstall" but since this is a completely new fresh install on a clean fresh OS I can't even  begin to imagine what that could possibly mean.
I've tried contacting Adobe support, but so far have only had generic tier one responses. Will be trying again tomorrow.
I have searched this forum and the web in general, and I've found a similar reports with proposed solutions, such as disabling the check for conflicting applications, but none of them have helped.

You don't have to look at Adobe's log, it's an objective C programming issue.
Adobe didn't update their code.
Open Mac OS console application and look for installation error, you will find something similar meaning the code is deprecated for Mac OS 10.8:

  • Why is Adobe AIR bad when creating Mac Creative Suite packages?

I am sure there were threads that answered EXACTLY why Adobe AIR kept Macintosh Creative Suite packages from installing, but those threads elude me. While I know its best practice that Adobe AIR be disabled, I am not sure WHY. I would appreciate either an answer or a link to the answer.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
There are some known issues with silent deployment of AIR based payloads in logged out user mode. Thus having them in the main package could cause the entire package to hang/not install on the machine. That is why we recommend to disable AIR payloads in the main package and deploy them separately using ExceptionDeployer application. This way the main package will never create problem for you. Page 8 of AAMEE read me file has a complete documentation regarding this issue. AAMEE 3.1 readme can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html.

  • Suitable Creative Suite Package for PC

    Dear all,
I need some help as I am a bit clueless.
I am thinking of buying a Creative Suite package for my PC but wondering if any will work with my system spec which is as follows:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2 GHZ
    Running on Windows Vista
    Memory 4 GB RAM
    32 bit operating system
    Hardisk memory 456GB
Any thoughts as to what creative system will work on this system?
I beleive Creative Suite 6 requires a lot more power?

CS6 may not be supported officially on Vista, but most apps will work just fine on your system - that is the ones that are 32bit. Should you need After Effects, Premiere Pro and a few otehrs, those will be missing, as they are only 64bit. Which suite you get will of course depend on what you do, but as per your own observation, using any of the current Adobe apps on a system like yours won't be the most enjoyable experience. They will run, but due to the shortage of RAM and your weak processor you may notice considerable lag in some of them. Also, for Photoshop and others GPU acceleration via your graphics hardware may not be available depending on what card or shipset you use. So in summary: It won't be impossible, just not necessarily fun.

Yes/No/perhaps. All depends on the specifics of the system and its configuration. most stuff should work, but of course there always could be compatibility issues.

  • How to update Creative Suite Package (CS6) to newest desktop versions of all softwares?

I´ve got Creative Suite Package CS6 and would like to update this to the newest one but just noticed that Adobe is not selling Creative Suites anymore. How could I convert my CS6 to the newest versions of products? I´d prefer using desktop versions.

is adobe creative suite version1 compatible with windows 7

Unfortunately, while I imagine it could be made to run on Windows 7, you simply won't be able to activate it on the new system because Adobe has taken the activation servers offline.
For a while Adobe published a version of CS2 with a special no-activation serial number, specifically for folks who have run afoul of the activation server problem, and at first it included users of CS and CS2.  Unfortunately, the language of that page has changed to make it clear that only licensed users of CS2 may take advantage of the download.

CS6 works with Yosemite, although I don't think its officially supported.

  • Adobe Acrobat package built with CCP will not completely install

Adobe Acrobat package built with CCP will not completely install.  It starts out fine as if it is installing then suddenly disappears with no errors.   I am installing it under the local administrator account and simply double clicking on the setup.exe created in the build folder.  Am I missing something??

    Hi rivera2u & TRU Software,
I believe you are just double clicking on the Exception Deployer and not running the same from the command prompt . Mentioned below is the syntax that we need to use while using Exception Deployer on your machine(s).
    ExceptionDeployer
        --workflow=install
        --mode=pre|post
        --INSTALLDIR=<path_of_installation directory>
        --installLanguage=<locale_code for Acrobat>
        --abortOnFail
        --help
The same is mentioned in the link shared by Abhijit earlier.
Please do let us know if this works for you or not.

  • I bought Adobe creative suite 6 (Student Edition) for Windows? Can I install the programs on Mac as well?

I bought Adobe creative suite 6 ( Student Edition ) for Windows? Can I install the programs on Mac as well?

Licenses are platform specific, so the Windows version will only work on the Mac if the Mac has Windows emulation software installed.  The other option would be to trade your Windows version for a Mac version, but then you lose the use of it on the Windows machine.

I have an iMac 10.6.8 with Adobe Creative Suites 5 Design Premium. Does Maverick 10.9.2 support all of the Adobe Creative Suite programs, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign?

    Chance,
It is for AI CS5, PS CS5, and ID CS5 according to these pages (although you have to find it under CS6 and know that Mavericks is Intel based):

  • How do I fix Creative Suite CS2 reinstall with error message "Missing or Invalid Personalization Inf

How do I fix Creative Suite CS2 reinstall on same Windows 7 Pro machine, with error message "Missing or Invalid Personalization Information / Missing Resources Library" when I attempt to reinstall from installation disk set? Was having trouble with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8; Uninstalled and am now stuck. You can email me if you like at [email protected] Thank you.

    Hi Bill:
I don't remember deactivating (after my XP PRO harddrive scattered)
when I did the first Windows 7 pro install of these programs and it went
fairly well except AA8 was a little problematic when converting from MS
    Word.
In my case the AA8 came with a Studio 8 suite of programs as follows:
         1) A Studio 8 installation disk
         2) A Creative Suite CS2 Premium set of installation disks.
         3) A Creative Suite 2.3 Premium upgrade disk with AA8
I uninstalled AA8 and when I tried reinstallation the directions
said to do the Creative Suite CS2 Premium set of installation disks
first followed by the Creative Suite 2.3 Premium upgrade disk with AA8.
Now I'm stuck; What a mess.
         Thanks for trying to help.

  • Is Creative Suite 5 compatible with Mavericks?

My wife has Creative Suite 5 on her computer which we use quite a bit. I am loving Mavericks on my MacBook but don't want to update hers unless Creative Suite will be ok. Has anybody tried it yet?

    Well,
Be careful if doing a reinstallation. Mavericks has updated Safari with a push notification app which is difficult or near impossible to turn off.  CS5 will not complete the installation process unless this application is closed, so you may end up waiting an hour for installation only to discover that the installer has halted at 99 percent!

  • Creative Suite CS4: Problems with font managing software

It seems that there are some issues of the applications of the creative suite CS4 with the font managing software MainType (http://www.high-logic.com/maintype.html).
With standard settings, CS4 no longer recognizes PostScript Type 1 Fonts loaded by MainType (which did not occur with CS3 and older versions). The only solution so far is this workaround:  Within MainType enable under "Tools -> Options" the option "Copy Type 1 Postscript fonts to Windows fonts folder" and CS4 will load these fonts again.
This seems to be a bug of CS4. Are there problems with other font managing programs?
    regards
    fabian

After reading tons of forums about this issue, it does seem to be an issue with CS4 not recognizing fonts the way that CS3 did. Wish they had mentioned that little feature when they released it. They even go as far as to say they do not support certain programs for type handling in Windows. Copying them to the system folder is a workaround, but it is not available easily in programs like Extensis' Suitcase, which is long overdue an upgrade. LinoType beta tested a new application for Windows, but when I sent an email to them asking about the release date for the their final version, their ignorant customer support sent me a link to their website pointing out that it is not yet available, and not answering my initial question of when.
I don't entirely blame Adobe, it seems as though a lot of companies have dropped the ball on this issue, and since many people have Type 1 fonts they've been using for years, they will have to repurchase (if available) those fonts in the newer OTF format which everyone seems to support. OTF is a much nicer format and more portable cross-platform, but it's simply inconvenient to not be able to use all of your fonts at your own discretion easily. I'm not sure what the big deal was with not including support for Type 1 fonts, unless that's most of the reason that the Adobe apps were crashing before... corrupt versions of the fonts they talked us into purchasing, etc... Adobe used to make ATM for managing postscript fonts, but it doesn't work on Vista to my knowledge. It would be nice if they would recommend a font manager other than the Windows system folder.
I figure Adobe was hoping that it would not be a major issue since their wonderful PDF format has taken hold for printing. Print shops do not have to install fonts before printing a piece anymore. Most people will read in these forums about the loss of support, throw up their hands and shake their heads, but do nothing about it. After all they too probably purchased the CS4 suite without knowing about this issue and have already spent their money. It doesn't look as though it's an issue on the Mac, but by the time you throw $3000 at an entry level Mac workstation and $1600 at the basic adobe apps, that's not a solution either. Especially when you have to go out and buy all new fonts anyhow, since the macs will not support the Windows postscript typeface formats either.
After doing a little price shopping for typefaces, I'm trying to try to keep using the few OTF and TTF fonts I've purchased since they're still working, since the prices of fonts these days are astronomical. I've installed a few fonts in the system folder, but too many and Acrobat distiller crashes. It's not cost effective to spend all of your income from design on $1600 font family sets, just to make changes to a document where you might have used a postscript face. Especially in this economy... It's another case of the investor getting rewarded for the release of an application and the customer is left holding the bag. Hopefully it's a bug, but not likely. It's probably some mandated decision by the higher ups in Adobe.
I'm sure larger companies with hundreds of employees probably have site licenses for typefaces in the OTF format, so for them it's not a problem, and since most people using PCs to do design opted for that platform because of the cost issue, Adobe probably doesn't care about them either. Maybe a solution will arise in the future, but it doesn't look likely. You will probably have to get the new formats of typefaces one by one.
