MacMail and World Client Madaemon is there a computability problem?
I am wishing to start a new thread in the hope of solving a mail account set up failure. I have tried unsuccessfully multiple time to set up Mail ( Mac) to retrieve my world client email Madaemon email account. I can retrieve it via its web based log in and it works perfect the way I set it up with my iPad mail setup, but it wont work with may mail on the Mac Pro. It fails to connect to the server or times out. Extra note, I had it set up and running well. But the account via mail started to play up so i deleted the account and the issue started when I went to re in state it.
Mac mail 3.6
Mac 10.5.8
WorldCleint Madaemon email account
Thank you for any help in advance
Dont know this service, but as most email services works quite similar the point will be:
If you setup the new account in mail, choose IMAP not POP cause the vendor says on his site, IMAP is the way to connect.
On Account Information set:
Email address: type your Email address ([email protected])
incoming mail server: server name (e.g. Domain name of the MDaemon machine.)
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: same as above
Account name field: type your email address that is setup in MDaemon.
Password field: type your password that is setup in MDaemon for your account.
On the Advanced Tab set
Port: 143
Auth: password
SSL: YES
If that does not work for you, contact your eMail provider.

i recently got IOS 8 and I like it but there is one problem on my camera roll it says i have 600 photos but i went into setting general and about and it says i have 2,743 photos my photos keep on duplicating how do i get this to stop. i have a iPhone 5c
Hi Bpaitin,
Go to Settings>General>Usage, and under iCloud, click on Manage Storage>click on your device, then under Backup Options, turn Photo Library off and then back on. See if that clears it up.
If it does not, reset your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen redisplays, see if the issue is resolved.

I have just exported my vCard files from Outlook to import to iCloud and it will import because there was a problem reading my vCard. Any ideas welcome
Welcome to the Apple community.
Try exporting and importing them in small bundles, there may be a problem with one or more specific cards. If you are able to isolate them, you could then import those particular cards manually. -
Madaemon and World client email
Trying to setup my iphone to connect with my work world client email which is an Alt-N product.
Will not receive or send email from that account.
It is an imap account and our IT people dont have a clue?
I dont know if it is a firewall issue or email server issue?
Anybody else have this problem?I use mdaemon & worldclient daily. when away from my office the only way to retieve & send email is to login via the web, On the iphone I do it using safari. You just need the specific ip address for your world client. to the best of my knowledge that is the only way you can use it

Hi,
I Build an Lync 2013 set up with FEpool, Director pool and Exchange server is integrated. I have windows 8 client machine, with Lync client installed. When I try to login to the lync client, I am getting error like"There was a problem verifying
certificate from the server".
When I installed ROOT CA cert manually on client machine I am able to login to the lync client. similarly if I add my client machine in my domain, I am able to login to the Lync client.
Now is there any other way to send the certificate automatically to the client machine (Which are NOT part of the DOMAIN) from the server, instead of manual installation process.
Please help me troubleshoot this problemAgree with S Guna, there is no easy way to push a certificate automatically to a client that you don't control other than building an installer package and asking them to run it. In this situation, if there are a lot of non-domain joined machines
a third party certificate is the way you need to go.

Hi,
I just try to install the setup download from apple website for iTune and iCloud.
During the installation, there was error message prompt out "There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
I am using Window 7 32 bit. I have try several time for install, but the result is getting same error message.
Anyone can help on this??????
Thanks.
JustinI have also tried extracting the individual components to the temp file and attempting to install them individually despite being unable to remove the previous install of Apple Software Updater. The outcome, both Apple Software Updater and itunes encountered the same error message during the install process.

I've had this for sometime and this laptop for about 1 year. Never saw this before, but haven't tryed to line up with ITunes for a while. I get a notice from windows that there is a problem with the drive and it asks it i want to fix it. Nothing happens if i try, so I have not persued that avenue. ITunes says a IPod is detected but the identification cannot be verified. Whats up with that?
ThanksHello, Wallydawg.

i am not able to download the latest version of itunes because it show me this "There is a problem whith this windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel package vendor" And so i cannot put new songs or videos in it...
Repair your Apple software Update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU in All programs, go to control panel/
XP- add n remove Programs/highlight ASU, CHANGE then REPAIR.
Vista or Win7 - Programs n features/highlight ASU and click REPAIR -

Sleep and volume buttons broken, but there's another problem.
The sleep and volume buttons on my Ipod touch stopped working recently, and on top of that, my speaker randomly cuts out.
If I squeese the top and bottom of my Ipod hard enough, I can get the sleep button to work for about 3 seconds.
The volume buttons have not responded to anything.
My speaker started cutting out on the first day I got it, but I thought it was because I had set it up wrong. Squeesing the corner where the speaker is located will make it work again, but only for a short amount of time.
I plan on taking my Ipod to an Apple store to have it serviced, but there is one problem.
I accidently cracked my Ipod's screen. The buttons stopped working MONTHS after it happened, and the speaker was already broken.
My Ipod is still under Apple's 1 year warenty, so would they fix the buttons for free under the warenty even if the screen was cracked?
I don't care about the screen getting fixed, I just want the buttons to work again.I know the screen will not be covered, and I don't need it to be fixed.
What I want to know is will they fix the buttons?
I don't think the buttons would have broken because of the screen because the buttons broke 4 months after the screen broke.
And the speaker was broken right out of the box. -

Hotspot appear always to search and never stop
internet is not working without internet APN data
Tethering APN never save the data
Vodafone carrier checked and mentioned that the no problem with the SIM
Tradeline checked and the IOS was latest 6.1, but asked to reinstall from scratch
Please adviceI have this _same_ issue, exactly. Initial backup goes just fine, but incremental backups fail. And like you, I replaced the internal drive.
The failures didn't start occuring long after the original drive was replaced--which was about 1 year ago. The new drive was non-Apple and worked fine--and tests fine now as well when outside the TC. But suddenly incremental backups started failing when the TC firmware and utility app were updated about 2-3 months ago. I even swapped the internal non-Apple drive for another known-working non-Apple drive, and same results.
I strongly suspect Apple added something to the firmware to check if it's an Apple or non-Apple drive in the TC and, if the latter, maybe causes incremental backups to fail. This is only speculation and, obviously, the initial backup still works, so any checksum like this would have to be only during the incremental backup process.
I'll be checking into this thred to see if others have the same issue, or if a solution is found. Hopefully my hypothesis is just para-apple-noia and it's some small, easy-to-fix issue.
