MacMINI + latest Thundebolt Display + Pegasus TB 4x1 Go RAID  DISK

Hi;
I am a good Apple Customer who buy the Apple Care with each piece of Apple I buy... I love the Apple but it is the 2nd Comand where I have a bug issue.
Last one was a Logistic problem. 2 Items were missing; the least expanssive but it was  missing and it tooks me 2 monthe to get it.
On the 2 ITems there was a pocket Projector... I am still wondering what it is the use of this procket Projector.
It does not accept Powerpoint presentation. It does not accept live connection to your mac... Well I have not yet called about it but I am very dissappointed when I received it 2 monthe after the date when I should have received it and many phone calls and emails...
This Time I have used the configurator fro, Apple to buy a Configuration with a MAC MINI SERVER + 1 PEGASUS and a TB Cable.... BUT THE DISPLAY USE THE TB Port and then I Have no port TB left for the PEGASUS 4 x1 Go RAID....
I had bought the DISPLAY 1 month before. The latest for MAC MINI and MAC BOOK Air....
Ì have called APPLECARE Today and I am waiting a call for monday...
I would be very disapointed if this SERVER COULD NOT SUPPORT A TB DISPLAY  AND  TB 4x1 GB HDD
Apple I love U You are making the best and most Beautifull devices. I am an iOS Developer and I love U.
I HAVE 3 MAC, 3 iPhone, 3 or 4 iPOD, 2 iPAD; 2 iTV....and more
I almost cried when Steve Jobs died but if Quality continue to go down you are not going to be the best for lon time!!!
Cheers;
Fred

I FOUND!!!!  IT IS A DAISY CHAIN ON THE HDD !!! stupid me !!!

latest IOS displays fault code 1671, what does this mean?

If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • Trouble installing latest Intel Display Driver for Windows 7

Anyone else experiencing issues trying to install the latest Intel Display Driver for Windows 7, version 8.15.10.2057, dated 2 Mar 2010?
This is the second updated driver release that refuses to install due the following error while running setup.exe: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
I've verified compatibility and have disabled Switchable graphics and selected Integrated Graphics in the BIOS
    System: T400, 2764-CTO running Windows 7 (64-bit)
    Thanks...

    bwpotter,
Appears you selected the right .inf file for Win7/64. Notwithstanding the error flags, are you sure the driver did not install?
For WinXP/32, the equivalent file name is kit22686.inf. In the case of WinXP (likely similar for Vista and Win7), Lenovo's file-set will unpack to C:\drivers\WIN\DISPLAY2. The .inf file that appears in the Device Manager install-routine lives one level down, in C:\drivers\WIN\DISPLAY2\Graphics. Only one .inf file resides in this directory.
When forcing installation of the driver under WinXP, error messages appear that are similar (but not necessarily identical) to those you encountered. Still, after a sequence of five or six such error messages, the driver does load and can be verified after a reboot. (The new driver has performed to spec for the past several days--no issues whatsoever.)
The final splash screen in the series reports "Completing the Hardware Update Wizard." (This message does not, however, necessarily denote a successful installation.)
In the case of WinXP, the errors appear to be generated by the installer, igxpun.exe (v1.2.30.0). Note that the flaky display driver installation should generate an error log. Search for an error log file using the string "*appcompat.txt" (no quotes) and see what it says.
In the end, the problems with this package can be attributed to simple sloppiness (vendors commonly forget to eat their dog food) and should be quickly fixed if the community barks loudly.
    Hope this helps.

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
      1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
      2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
      3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
      4. Get an external hard drive on which to store some of your files after which you can
erase the data from your internal drive to free up space.
      5. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
      6. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
      7. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

  • Latest iMac display vs. Cinema Display

I posted this also on the Intel Mac Displays area, but wasn't sure if that was the best place.
I'm hoping to get a new Mac for graphic design at work. I'd love to get a tower unit and 23" display, but I may need to save the company money and go for the iMac with maximum RAM. At home, I have a 20" Cinema Display with my G5 and a 17" iMac (all just prior to Intel conversion). The iMac display doesn't look as clear and sharp as the Cinema Display.
Can anyone tell me how the latest iMac 24" display compares with a 23" Cinema Display, as far as quality of what you see? Is the graphics card the determining factor?

I'm not sure why you would think the 17 inch iMac didn't look as clear as the 23 inch cinema display. I've seen a fair few of them, and they look fine to me.. The graphics card shouldn't have anything to do with it.
I've seen a 24 inch iMac and both the clear and metal 23 inch Cinema displays, and the display quality seems comparable to me. If anything, the metal cinema display and iMac are better than the clear cinema display.

  • 27" Latest Apple Display compatibility with 2009 24" iMac 9,1

Can anyone tell me whether the latest Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display released on July 20, 2011 is compatible with the 2009 24" iMac 9,1
The Apple Thunderbolt Display tech specs on apple.com/uk states the following system requirements:
Thunderbolt-enabled Mac computer, including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini and iMac
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
Currently I have Leopard installed but I have Snow Leopard 10.6 which I can upgrade so I have that covered but I'm not sure whether my iMac is a Thunderbolt-enabled Mac computer...
Any feedback/guidance would be greatly appreciated... Cheers, Sasdaman

Here's a new article that basically covers and clears up all the new Thunderbolt display questions (same things I previously stated).
    Enjoy!!

  • Have my latest article display instead of just the links to articles?

    Hi,
I have received some great advice here on my general structure and am pleased that it's all OK now. One thing I have been trying to figure out though is whenever I create a new article, I would like it to show the latest article in the section that the user clicked on (left hand navigation panel, Windows, PC Security, Photography etc) instead of me just having my links to the article. I see on a lot of sites that they have the first part of an article with a 'Read More' at the bottom. That's really the kind of look I'd like to achieve if possible (say have 5 or 6 parts of an article showing with a 'Read More') with page numbers at the bottom, so they can view older articles.
At the moment my setup is like this, where the user will click on say 'Window' on the left and then look through the links to find something of interest. I think this isn't a great way for people to navigate and I should try to make it easier for them. Hopefully that makes sense?
    Richard

  • Ive got poblems with my thundebolt display conected to my macbook pro 13 inch mid 2011

im running a thunderbolt display with a macbook pro 13 inch, the display shuts off by itself, also when the macbook goes to sleep and its woken up the thunderbolt display stays off and i need to restart the sistem, the macbook also dosent recognize the display as soon as i turn it on i have to play around with it for a while conecting disconecting the thunderbolt cable for it to work, ive also got problems to eject the display as it is not shown as a disk.
any oe else have this problem, ive searched forums and youtube and no articles exist on thunderbolt displays and macbook pros 13 inch.

It's possible that it's the same for all registrations, even though the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air products are distinctly different. That information is autofilled, probably based on the serial number of your product, so even though it may say it's a MacBook Air, Apple may just be bundling all MacBooks under one group and labeling them MacBook Pro. But the serial number would tell them exactly which model you have, so there's nothing to worry about.
AppleCare Protection is based on the product group, so all MacBooks would be the same price, just as all iMacs would be the same price.

  • Since latest upgrade display distorting standard layout eg size of h2 to text is disproportionately large so reading newspaper sites is now a problem

None of the zoom functions address this problem.
It is not that all the text is too large or too small, but that the headings in relation to the text are now too big. This means that if I decrease the zoom level to one that the headings appear normal then the text is articles is too small. This is a consistent problem across for instance news papers sites such as the Guardian (UK) but even on the standard google search page. ie if I reduce the search box text size to the level I normally have, then the text of the search results are far too small. And even on the wordpress sites that I maintain I have this problem. The headings and sub headings now appear too large in relation to the text size.
So not only is this a problem for using other sites, but means I no longer have confidence in using Firefox when setting up styles etc..
Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

wouldn't it make more sense to offer 2 versions of the browser. One for those using high resolution displays and one for those that dont.
Most ordinary users will accept an automatic update and then not know what to do.

  • Latest intel display driver giving problems

I have the lenovo n200, which comes with the intel 965 chipset. I downloaded the latest drivers for this graphics chip. Any help you can offer would be great.

Is your iTUnes up to date?

  • Re: Satellite C660-1D7 - Installing latest Intel display driver

    Hi
I have a Toshiba Satellite C660-1D7 running Windows 7 64bit Home Premium with Intel Core i3 [email protected] GHz CPU and 4GB RAM. I use my laptop a lot for graphics etc. with Adobe CS5 and Corel Paint shop Photo Pro x3 etc.
After only 2 months I got an HDD alert saying it would fail soon. So under warranty 2 weeks ago Toshiba arranged for an authorized dealer to collect and replace the HDD which they did. Ever since then I cannot use my graphics software. Now, I remember when I first got my laptop I had the same problem and it was to do with my graphics/video card and OpenGL. Toshiba site and my own laptop kept saying that all drivers were up to date. But when I went on Intel site I found that Intel HD Graphics was not up to date. As soon as I updated I was able to use all my graphics programs.
The drivers installed without any problems at all. This time, although I gave a recovery disk to the repair dealer, when my graphics software was not working. I went to Intel site and once again there are more up to date drivers available. However, when I try to install them it says that I now have modified drivers from the laptop manufacturer and I must go to the Toshiba site. Either way, the drivers I need are not on the Toshiba site and I have tried every way possible I think to install the ones I want.
    Please help!
The programs do open when I click e.g. Paint shop pro x3 but when I go to save a photo or edit it hangs, and 'not responds' and I must use Task Manager to end process. I need the same drivers that I had on my laptop before the HDD was replaced but cant get them from Intel as Toshiba seems to have opted out of updates.
All help welcome! Many thanks in advance. John Scott

    Hi John,
The problem is that only Toshiba drivers are pretested on your system. Installing other drivers happens on your own risk because they are not tested by Toshiba.
Anyway, just download the drivers on Intel website. If setup.exe file shows you an error message about not compatible drivers install them manually (I know this message from my notebook). Therefore navigate to device manager > right click on graphic card > update driver. Then choose the advanced installation where you can choose the driver and directory yourself. Now you are able to install this driver :)

    zzsara wrote:
I want to open a new browser window and display the html file in local drive. ...Did you ever pause to consider how ridiculous that is?
The best audience for applets is people off the internet. 'People off the internet' might be using a computer that has no (what was it?) 'open.html' in the root of the C: drive. In fact (shock horror) they may not even be running Windows, and would therefore probably have no 'C:' drive at all.
If you do not intend to distribute this to people off the web, an application makes a lot more sense, but even then, you cannot rely on the document being there unless you 'put it there' (during installation, for instance).
As the other poster intimated, applets can load documents off the local disk as long as they are trusted. Here is an example*, but note that it is not so rash as to presume any particular path or file, and instead leaves it to the user to choose the document to display.
    * The short code can be seen at SDNShare on the [Defensive Loading of Trusted Applets|http://sdnshare.sun.com/view.jsp?id=2315] post.
On the other hand, a sandboxed applet can load any document coming from its own server via URL, or get showDocument(URL) to work. In that case, the JRE must recognize that the URL is from its own server, so the best way to form URLs for applet use is via the URL constructor
new URL(getDocumentBase(), "path/to/open.html");That is how I form the URL in this [ sandboxed example of formatting source|http://pscode.org/fmt/sbx.html?url=/jh%2FHelpSetter.java&col=2&fnt=2&tab=2&ln=0]. Of course, in this case the applet loads the document, then parses the text to draw the formatted version, but the point is that an URL produced this way will work with showDocument(URL).
I am pretty sure showDocument() in an applet off the internet will work with an URL pointing to a foreign (not its own) server, but it will not be able to load documents off the end user's local disks.
I suggest a couple of things.
    - Try to express this problem in terms of what feature it is that you want to offer the end user. Your question jumps directly to a bad strategy for achieving ..who knows what? An example of a feature is "Shows the applet 'help' files on pressing F1".
    - A good way to indicate interest in a solution is to offer [Duke stars|http://wikis.sun.com/display/SunForums/Duke+Stars+Program+Overview] to match that interest.
    Edit 1:
..and please figure out how to use the CODE tags.
