MacOS launches the wrong binary when clicking on .app
I developed a MacOS application that contains several binaries inside myapp.app/Contents/MacOS
I noticed that after a crash of my application, MacOS sometimes doesn't launch the correct binary. Even if the Info.plist is correctly pointing to the good one.
I found a trick to fix this, it is to move the Info.app to a different directory (let's say myapp.app/) and then move it back (myapp.app/Contents/).
It seems to me that this is a fallback of MacOS after detecting that an error occurred. I would like to understand this process and know how to force the execution of the correct binary or reset whatever cache MacOS keeps.

I made sure that the problem doesn't come from me (no log in the mainApp, the setting has been correctly updated on disk, the setup is launched as "setup -psnXXXXXX" which means it is the binary started by the OS). Also, it did happen that clicking on the .app launched the other binary (Configuration) at startup which is impossible from my code.
I know where the crash is and I already fixed it. However some of my users are experiencing this behavior after other random crashes. I am working on fixing them all but in the meantime, there must be a way to avoid this buggy behavior.

IPod Touch shows the wrong artwork when playing songs
Recently my iPod Touch has just decided to display all the wrong artwork when playing songs. For example I will be listening to Chris Brown and It will be showing a picture of a Jay-Z album. How do I fix this?!
I've read that all you have to do is 'uncheck "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when your iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod.'.. however I manually add the songs onto my iPod so I can't uncheck the music option as it's already unchecked!

- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Although all photos in my libraries are rotated to the correct orientation, random pictures still show up in the wrong position when viewed on Apple TV.

Several of our iPhone users in the UK reported the problem this morning, and as the Apple fan in the office I've got the job of resolving the issue
The original Excel was an old .xls file, but I have saved it as a .xlsx and the problem still appears
I haven't spoken with our developer yet, but I assume he has created the Excel file using some programming tools rather that directly using Excel
In the meantime I have created a simply spreadsheet with 8 cells contain values
In the first 4 cells, I have formatted them using Currency, and have used the currencies USD, DEM, GBP and CHF
In the remaining cells I have formatted them using the Accounting option, using the same currencies
When I review the spreadsheet on the iPhone (or iPad), the first 4 remain the same yet the last four all show the £ symbol
I have now changed the Region Format of the iPhone to United States, and when viewing on the iPhone the bottom 4 values are now all showing the $ sign!
If I had created the spreadsheet I would have put the Currency code in a seperate cell and purely used a numeric format for the number, and there would be no issue. That might be the only solution
Yes, the Director has the full MS Excel app on his Windows 8 device, but I can't expect all of our clients to go and do the same, in business many of them will have the iPhone
We may have to change the way we produce the report because of Apple's failings here, and it's not the first time that we have had to change something because Apple devices can't display them properly

I put the wrong birthdate when registering my daughters new iPod Touch. It didn't let me establish a new account because the birthdate was too young. When I went to correct it, it continued the lock her new registration out. Now I can't successfully register her on iTunes with her correct birth year.
i just opened my ipad, started my apple account/I.D. and realized I put the wrong e mail. I was having trouble correcting my I.D on the Ipad so I went to my laptop and make the proper changes/slash e mail address I wanted for my apple ID. So, i did what you said.. went to setting>app store> tapped on my e mail.. it asked me to sign in (with my invalid emails address showing). I signed in with the password I had created. It said "incorrect".. I went to reset password. I reset password, tried to sign in and it says again "unvalid password".. this is getting irritating. I have been asking and no one knows what to do. -
Im having trouble with error 13019 I have read the previous discussions about this matter and have tried to do them except for the fact that under the music tab when clicking on my ipod every thing is frozen. It s not my comp. and i dont wish to restore. Please help!
If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

Itunes 11.4.0.18 crashing when clicking on app store
Itunes is getting crash when clicked on app store. I tried to get some information for this crash and got the above message in debugging mode. Please fix this if required but i am unable to open app store.Click here and follow the instructions to change the iTunes Store country.

You need to look for an app that has a custom keyboard with the features you require, I suggest you find one without CAPSLOCK

Again you need to look at how to manage the device - these settings can be turned off already & you can edit the 'suggestions' too.
Settings > General > Keyboards > turn Auto-Correction Off.
Sadly you cannot disable autocorrect temporarily, so it's all or nothing. -
Apple Bluetooth keyboard shows the wrong letters when pressed
Hi,
My apple bluetooth keyboard shows the wrong letters when I write on it. If I press "c", the letter "d" shows on the screen instead. The bottom row of letters mimicks the row just above. I've tried unpairing and paring the keyboard again with my computer and my ipad. Same error. Tried resetting the pram and the smc and it still doesn't work. Changed the batteries in the keyboard and no change. I've removed some plist file (com.apple.BezelService) and its lock file like someone recommended in a youtube video. I've also checked the keyboard settings and can't find anything that seems weird.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix it or do I have to buy a new keyboard?

Why my apps are not transferring from PC to iPhone 5? When I connected to PC the icon shows when I select apps it show 'will install' but it never show on iPhone, I re installed iTunes, deleted all apps and downloaded again but its not working pls help.
Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

When i synced my new iphone to my pc i clicked the wrong button - instead of restoring it from my old phone's last backup i clicked set up as new iphne - now it appears all my old texts and my notes have gone. Any ideas how I can get them back?
When you plug it into iTunes - it will show on the left side of the screen. Right click on it, and you will have a list of restores to use. Pick the one you want, and it will pull all of that data. It worked on mine...

Firefox loads website in the wrong tab when I click a link and change tabs.
In Firefox when I open a new tab and type in a webpage or click on the homepage button, then change to anoter tab while I wait for it to load, it will load the site in the tab I've switched to instead of the tab that I initially put the address in. This is annoying as it replaces whatever I was working on when it incorrectly loads the new page in the wrong tab. I have a fairly slow internet connection through my phone's hotspot, so it can take a long time to load pages, which is why I try to load something in one tab while working on another.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
