Hi,
after updating to MacOSX 10.5.2. Server the problems with the airport card remains.
I had already several system crashes, all with the following stack trace:

My AppleWorks spread sheet has started crashing.  I just upgraded AppleWorks from 6 to 6.2.9, but it still crashes when I try to save changes or print.  I run 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.  This same spread sheet does not crash on my other two Macs.  Please help, I use this spread sheet daily in my business.  Jeanie

Did you apply the security update to this Mac & not the others? If you did, check Software Update again. Apple has released an updated security update. This has fixed the problems caused by the first version.

  • PSE 9 still crashing when saving after removing preferences

When I try to save my work in PSE 9 it crashes every time.  I've removed preferences by pressing shift, control, option after launching the program.  The window came up if I wanted to remove preference I clicked yes.  Restarted my computer and relaunched PSE9 still crashes.
I've also removed the twain plug in this way:
Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
I dragged it twice to my desktop but the file still seemed to remain in place (even though I had 2 new copies on my desk top), so the third time I did it, I clicked it and moved it to trash.  Again, I restarted my computer and relaunched PSE9 and it still crashes when trying to save.
Please help, I'm in the middle of a project that I need to finish and I can't do anything til I get this sorted out.
Thanks in advance for the help, it's much appreciated.

I found same question on another post http://forums.adobe.com/message/4862150 . The issue is addressed on that post . Please refer that.

Thanks for your reply. Any suggestions for ways to fix this? If I've already updated using my phone, am I just screwed?

  • TS3968 installes the prokit framework and my logic 9 still crashes when saving.

Need some additional help. I installed the prokit framework 7.0 deleted the old and relaunched logic pro 9...and it still crashes when I try to save. I upgraded to OS 10.6.8....so now what do I do?

And if it's written at the internet, it must be good and true . Well, the fix is tricky, many people did had to re-install their system to get out of this mess. You can try to move ProKit from another 10.6.8 system (backup?), which still is not 100% clean but at least might get you back up and running.

If that plugin isn't working properly then its developer needs to fix this via an update.

  • IPhoto 6 Still Crashing when Emptying Trash

Even after following Apple's advice to rebuild this and rebuild that and reinstall and delete preferences, etc., etc., iPhoto crashes when trying to empty trash of certain files, especially those imported with previous versions of iPhoto. Never have a problem with files imported using ver 6. I now have many files with no images, the file names.
Apple, this can't just be happening to me.

    Joanna,
Without more information, it is difficult to diagnose this type of problem. Suggestions:
         1) Upgrade to a newer patch level for the same JVM. For example, it appears that you are running the IBM JVM and WebSphere. If that is the case, contact IBM support to see if there are any patches for the JVM and for your version of WebSphere.
         2) Be aware of things in Java that can inadvertently cause low level errors. For example, I have seen stack overflow (due to unbounded recursion) cause a GPF before. This type of debugging is particularly difficult, because it is like finding a needle in a hay-stack. Good logging will help you narrow it down.
         3) Is the problem reproducible? Does it only happen on one server?
         Peace,
         Cameron.

  • Full server pool crashes when adding new iSCSI server

    Hi,
we have a Pool Group with 2 machines (1 Server Pool Master + Server Virtual Machine + Utility Server and another 1 Server Virtual Machine). Both have a iSCSI Shared Disk which builds /OVS partition.
This is working, we can use High Availability, Migrate guests etc.
But when adding new Server Virtual Machines to the pool (with guests running), current machines in the Pools get restarted.
My question is, can server virtual machines be "hot added" to the pool group while guests are running?
    Thanks and regards,
    Marc

  • IWeb 2.02 still crashing when updating

I tried a while ago to update to iWeb 2 and it would crash whilst updating, i had a hellish time trying to restore the old iWeb and the domain file, luckily this time i backed them up so reverting was easy, but the problem still exists that the new iWeb 2.02 gets to about 3/4 complete when updating then crashes.

Hi I just know that is not the problem, for starters this problem happened before with the original iweb 2 and i did all that stuff that time, plus i have had no problems installing, all other programmes work fine, indeed iweb 2 works fine if i i remove the domain file and act as if i am starting from scratch.
the problem is in the process of updating the domain file, maybe so incompatibility exists, even though i did not mess too much with the template pages i used.

  • Firefox (still) crashes when going on Facebook.

Since posting a comment on this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/946538 back in March 2013 the question has been archived, but in my view was never resolved!
The problem persists! I'm now running FF 22.0 under Fedora 17 on two different Dell machines. No evident crash reports, but FF can still lock during a visit to facebook with very unpredictable and non-repeatable results.
Windows users have come to accept that an application crashing the operating system is part of normal software behaviour, but this does NOT happen to Fedora Linux apps.
Today before posting this message, during a face book session I start to see some slow down so I run tcpdump (basic IP diagnostic tool) as root and low NOTHING.. the TCP/IP stack has crashed! Tried to kill tcpdump - NOTHING, tried to kill firefox - NOTHING, last resort attempt soft reboot - warning 'Firefox is still running shutdown anyway?" yes - operating system goes down, but not will not power off, have to hold power button until hardware power off. Issued about:crashes after a restart, but last crash has the same date as my previous post. Ha..
Conclusion I have a deep operating system crash as the result of a visit to facebook....
On the other hand, perhaps the NSA don't like me linking wikileaks.org and it's nothing to do with FF ;-)

Sorry your Firefox is crashing :( Here are quick fixes to prevent this from happening again http://mzl.la/MYlG5D #fxhelp

  • OD client (lion server) safari crashes when downloading an email attachment

I have a user who is having Safari and sometimes Finder crash whenever she downloads an email attachemnet from her iCloud account.  Shes signing into iCloud via Safari (v6.0), she wants to download a 1mb PDF and when ever she clicks save, it starts to download, you see the progress bar in the download manager, and then you get the spinning wheel of death.
her user account is a OD account (lion server) with remote home folder.
other users with the same config are not reporting the same problem.
has anyone ells experienced this with OD user accounts?
is she signs into icloud on a local user account the issue does not persist.
    please advise.

    Hi Kevin,
So last night I updated to 10.7.5 and the issue persisted.
I then went into the users Library and removed the following:
    - Safari folder
    - anything that had to do with Safari from teh cash folder
    - removed the Safari plist file from the prfrence folder
This set the files and settings back to default, so things like home page, browsing history, etc. will go missing
...its like using Safari for the first time ...again.
The good thing is this seems to have resolved the issue, i successfully downloaded PDFs and jpegs that previuosly crashed the system.  Time will tell but sofar my end users have not reported any crashes.

  • ITunes 10.0.1.22 still crashes when trying to sync iPod Touch or iPhone 3GS

The crash occurs every time iTunes is syncing with the two devices and at the forth stage when iTunes is copying music to the devices, and it seems to occur when one of the songs purchased at iTunes Store is being copied??? Is there any utility to check the integrety, etc of the mpeg 4 files in my iTunes Library??? IF it is this one song that is causing the crash, am I entitled to get the song again from the iTunes Store without charge?

Two iPhone 2g's crash - iPad works fine.
Me too- Crash on my podcast sync, but I'm able to transfer purchases in. My second 2g iphone is the same. My iPad syncs audio/all just fine. I wasn't interested in upgrading to 10 for this very reason, but I had to. I have it backed up to itunes on a W7 netbook. I then try to use my main computer. I have to setup as a new phone. Everything else syncs until the audio. Same account, same network, same shares but I have to pick a computer. Great Plan! This has been broken for a month. Is there a phone number for support of my 275 apps?

  • If I want to run OSX Server and also want to run Windows 8 on Boot Camp, will server still run when I boot into windows?

I want to set up OSX Server on my iMAC running Mavericks and also install Windows 8 on Boot Camp.  If I do this and boot into Windows, will that prevent server from running while I'm in Windows?

No.  Bootcamp, as you've described, requires rebooting into your chosen operating system.  If you want to run both OS X and Windows at the same time from your hardware, look at virtualization tools like Parrallels or VMWare.

  • After Effects: Windows 7: QT32 Server.exe Crashing When Rendering H264

    Hi,
I am encountering After Effects on Windows 7 SP1 outputting an "Output Module Failed" when rendering any comp to the desktop as a QT H264(even a new project w/ a comp w/ just a single solid & no effects) in both After Effects 12.1/2 and Media Encoder(of a AE comp). I have already done the following:
    Removed Preferences
    Cleared Cache
    Turned Off Firewall
    Reinstalled QT 7
    Restarted Machine
Other discussions/posts regarding QT32 Server and AE seem to be focused on OS X. I've checked QT's component folders to find no components. Not sure if I should be looking elsewhere. There are no third party codecs installed. I have encountered this at two different studios I do IT for. Beyond uninstalling CC and running the Cleaner, is there anything I can do?
    Thanks,
    Anthony

Do you have a computer with a lot of processor cores? The Apple H.264 encoder used for QuickTime has a severe bug when used on a system with 24 or more processor cores (so, a 12-core computer with hyperthreading enabled).
Why are you creating a QuickTime movie with H.264? QuickTime is generally a good container, and H.264 is a good codec, but H.264 in QuickTime is a mess. What, exactly, are you going to do with this file? How are you determining your delivery specifications?
