Macpro dont start up after restart

Hi, i buy a macpro 1.1 and today i install i few programs, after the install the mac tell me to restart and i acept that. the mac shut down and after that i hear a short sound ( maybe the disc???), the monitor is black, without any signal and the mac loops there with the sound..i wail a while and so i must shut down with the power bottom. the problem every time i have to restart the mac.
pls help!!!

Can you please mention the version of Adobe Acrobat that you are using and on what OS version. Also mention whether this problem has started recently and was running fine earlier or is it a fresh install and has never worked for you.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the product after you started facing this issue.

My MBP will not start up after restart

My MBP (late 2011 running 10.8.something - receintly updated) will not start up after I had to do a restart to install Blackberry Desktop software (for my wife, I promise). It chimes, gets past the grey screen with the Apple logo and then just sits on the login screen but with the background only, no account or anything. My mouse pointer is there and moves but nothing else. Anyone have any idea?

When you get in uninstall the software using their uninstaller. Then reboot normally again, visit their website for a update if there is one.
Blackberry/RIM software has been causing issues around here lately.
If your machine refuses to boot normally again, then run through this list 1-8,, by #8 your machine should be booting normally again.

How can I get WebAS to not start-up after restarting Windows?

I would like to not have my WebAS auto start after I reboot windows.
I found of couple of options in Configuration tool but they did not stop it.
We have a firewall product that I cannot disable (per security policy), but I can terminate it once I get the desktop. However by that time WebAS has started and encounters blocks from firewall, and once this happens, half the time it causes my jcontrol.exe to result in NIETIMEOUT messages and once THAT happens I have to uninstall and reinstall EVERYTHING.
So, how can I configure WebAS to not automatically start-up after rebooting windows? I have searched help.sap.com and looked for options in Visual Admin and Configure tools.

Easier than it seems
Go to Administrative Tools/ Services in Windows.
Change Startup type of the services to Manual.
You can just sort by the 'Log On As' Column
".\SAPServiceJ2E"
or whatever you instance name is. You can always start the service from the MMC console after this.

MacPro dont start up

My MacPro crashed while saving a photoshop doc, after that i start agains while holdingh the power button for 10 seconds, the mac shutsdown but now it wont start up again, when i push the powerbutton i hear a soft click into the mac,what can it be?
I have changed the harddisc, the memory and also i have released all kabels for more the 10 minutes, no results
Can it be the battry or the powersupply?

I had a similar problem recently on my 2009 Mac Pro. After much toing and froing had the logic board replaced and all was well. My opinion was that the thermostat had started to malfunction. Nobody told me that but a number of things lead me to that conclusion. I my instance the machine would start after being left idle over night and then shut down after a short period of operation. When it did restart the fans sounded like a 747 taking off, hence the thermostat theory. Like I said, never got anything official from Apple about it, but it seemed a reasonable explanation to me. (They also replaced the hard drive and the power supply in the process).

Tried to upgrade from firefox 3.6.2 to 3.6.3, error message says another instance of firefox is running, then 3.6.2 opens. This occurs when i start firefox after restarting the computer, or when i try to install the upgrade

Whenever i try to open firefox, i get a message that firefox cannot install the upgrade because another instance of firefox is running. Then firefox 3.6.2 will start. running windows 7 64 bit. This will occur every time i try to open firefox, after rebooting or any time i close it and reopen firefox.

Do a clean (re)install and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

OracleCSService in 'starting' state after restart of node

Dear All,
We have two noce Oracle RAC on Windows 2003 Server (64-bit). RAC is 11gR1 while Database is 10gR2.
We faced some power issues which caused both nodes to get restarted. Howoever, one of the node faced some issues. The OracleCSService is in 'Starting' state (we are using Oracle Process Manager to manage the startup order of Oracle services). Also, we can not see the SAN disks connect on the the failing node. What do you think might be possible cause for that?
Are Shared disks required in order to Start the OracleCSSService (and other oracle related services) or the shared disks will be visible only when OracleCSService is is in started status?
When i checked log files, i can see below messages in <CRS_HOME>\log\<Node Name>\alert<NodeName>.log

Provide more info aboue messages in log file

at least the disks must be there/accessible, before the OracleCSService can start.
As you can see in the logs, he cannot acces OCR/Voting disks.
If I can remember correctly, there should be some other service (OracleVolumeService) which provides the links (\\.\votedsk1).
You can verfiy these by using guioracleobjectmgr.exe (which will display the tags) (or was it guioracleobjmanager.exe)...
Still: For all this to work, at least the Windows Diskmanager should see the physical disk.

I m using oracle 8.1.6 on windows 2000. My company wants me to automate the database i.e whenever the system is restarted then the database should also start automatically.
Do any one have any solution for this?....

Begin by logging on as Administrator. This will give you access to all the Services available in Windows 2000. To load the Services Utility, click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, then Services (You may also be able to access it via Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, Services if you enabled Administrative Tools to be displayed on the Start Menu).
Then double click on OracleService<sid> and change the startup type to Auto.

Power Mac G4 keeps crashing. Start up after restarted

Hello. This Power Mac G4- AGP graphic - keeps crashing. However, after each crash it power up normally. The problem reoccurred several time over a week.

Thanks BDAqua, it does sound like a bad capacitor. The PSU is one that I put in a few years back when Apple was giving them out so as to reduce the fan noise. I kept the old one until last week when I sent it off to be recycled. I suppose it would be a tough job to find the bad capacitor and I doubt that I would have the skill to replace it even if I could find it. It's not like I really need this power mac since I have a Mac Pro 1,1 but I do occasionally want to run something in OS 9 and I do love this machine for what ever reason. There was remarkably little dust inside but I went over it with a can of dust remover.

Spotlight starts indexing after every restart and there is a scrolling delay with both mouse and track pad.

I had to restart my MBP three time, two after it crashed. Every time Spotlight starts to index the content on my Mac
which takes two hour. Then there is a delay when I start scrolling, both with the mouse and with the track pad.
I also notised that after changing the icons with Candybar they still appear unchanged in Launchpad, which makes
it confusing. Launchpad isn't consitent when putting the apps in aphabetic order, but jumble up some of the apps.

Hi, me again, more data.
I have found that some plugins are accessing the internet without my permission.
And when I went into the plug in menu via the addons options through the Tool Menu option, I found the plug ins there.
BUT I never installed those plugins, and now they are there and they are accessing the Internet. Here are two images to show the plug ins disabled and yet another image showing them still accessing the Internet even when disabled.
I then removed them from the system (I did back them up first, just in case).

I have a serverprogram from an external company that doesnt start after a restart of the mac that I run that server on. It starts the program but it doesnt start up the server of the program. All settings are right and I have consulted others with same config. After a restart the server turns up in the statusbar but as turned off. So I can go to the statusbar, click on the symbol and choose "start server".
As I cant get the server to start up automaticly I was wondering if I can get the automator to start it up for me after a restart of the mac?

Without that info, you won't be able to re-activate the phone. Apple can't/won't help you with this.
