  • C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\npswf32_flashutil.exe error

    I've installed the TVTrigger application (http://www.tvtrigger.com/) on Windows 7 64-bit. This application required Flash to work. I've also installed Flash 10.
    However, when I start the application, I get an error that C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\npswf32_flashutil.exe is missing.
    When I check, no such directory exists.
    Can anyone tell me what Flash version/installer I need to use to that actually populates C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\?
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi , The files you are speaking of are removed with the Adobe Uninstaller and then the Installer will install the needed
    files into the Flash folder.
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html  Download this Uninstaller and put it on your Desktop
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe This is the FF Installer, SAVE it to your Desktop
    Since I don't know what add ons, extensions or plugins you have, Just disable them all for now.
    Follow the instructions for the Uninstaller, close all browsers, check the system tray. No programs that use Flash should
    be running.
    Disconnect from the Internet
    Disable any and all Anti-Virus/Spyware programs that run in realtime.
    Disable any Firewall that you use, except Windows Firewall
    Run the Uninstaller from your Desktop, then Reboot. Wait until fully Rebooted, then Reboot again
    Run the Installer from your Desktop, then Reboot
    Enable your Firewall and your Anti-Virus/Spyware programs
    Connect back to the Internet
    Go to this Adobe test site to confirm you have the FP vs 10.0.42.34 installed http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about
    Go to your plugins and make sure you have SWF(Shockwave Flash) vs 10.0.42.34 there and it is Enabled
    Enable Java-the latest is JRE 6 update 18.
    Then check your Flash folder and post back with the files that are now installed.
    Now if you have old versions of Java installed(check the Add/Remove) you would need to Remove them via Add/Remove
    and install the latest Java. NOTE: You can do this prior to the Uninstall/Install process. Post back and I'll give you the Java install procedure.
    Thanks

  • Error: Can't write: C:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10e.ocx

    When i install Flash 10, there was a error message showing "Can't write: C:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10e.ocx". I chose to ignore, installation can be completed but i still can't view any Flash file. I tried every steps showing in  Adobe Flash Player Support Center to troubleshoot the issues, but i can't go any where. Will anyone know what's the problem and how i can install the Flash player on my laptop? I am using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer. Thanks heaps!

    Is your Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit?
    Can you try to download this installer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe, save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer - do you get the same message?

  • Files in c:\windows\macromed\flash

    Just upgraded to flash player ver. 9,0,115,0. In the
    C:\Windows\Macromed\Flash folder are the following files:
    flash9e.ocx ; flashutil9e.exe ; uninstall_activeX.exe and
    install.log
    My question is.. I looked at a friend's machine that updated
    to flash ver 9,0,115,0 using the stand alone installer and there
    are about 3 more files in the folder. Which files should the Flash
    folder contain?
    Thanks

    Have checked the following:

  • After updating, install error "Install Flash Player.exe - Entry point not found"

    My current version of Flash Player is: 11.1.102.55. Then after an Update is performed and the download is downloaded, then it tries to install the download and an error message occurs. The error message says - Install Flash Player.exe - Entry point not found - then it says The procedure entry point  SetDllDirectoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNAL32.dll.
    When I try to uninstall Flash Player I get the same error message above except that it says Uninstall_Flash_Player.exe instead of Install Flash Player.exe.
    I'm running WIN2000, my current version of Flash Player is 11.1.102.55 and I’m running Firefox version 12.0.

    I believe 10.1.102.64 was the last supported version of Flash Player for Win2k.  That being said, there have been numerous users that have been able to work around the error you are receiving.  Please see this post for details:

    p.s. I am the admin of the laptop.

    I suggest you try the following
    download the FP uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html (save to disk);
    download the executable installer(s) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html (save to disk);
    close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller;
    restart Windows;
    using Windows Explorer go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

  • C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10d.ocx

    Can someone please, please help???
    I installed FP10 on Windows Vista & says it's complete (shows the "F" icon flipping around & all).  But, when I try to open C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10d.ocx in my "C Drive", I keep getting a pop up window "Error opening file for writing" in this file & wants me to abort.
    I would appreciate the help very much on what I should do.  Pages on websites take forever to download.

    This is an active x control. It is not meant to be opened.
    Slow loads may have several causes. Assuming you have good bandwidth, most other causes are related to the add-ons you allow to run in your browser. Internet Explorer 7 and 8 both include a "no add-ons mode" which is useful. My suggestion would be to attempt running in "no add-ons mode" and notice whether or not the speed improves. If so, open IE as normal, click tools and then click manage add-ons. Disable Add-ons you don't recognize and don't need or use. I personally don't use search toolbars b/c I can easily type in bing.com and then search. This is usually faster than running a bunch of add-ons anyway. After disabling the add-ons you don't recognize/want/use, look for the column that depicts load time. Anything that takes a long time to load is slowing down your browser, disable it if you can live without it. Finally, any add-ons that you chose not to disable should be updated if available. Check the site that belongs to the vendor listed in the Publisher column of the toolbar for instructions on how to update their product. Many updates require or work better if you uninstall the old version of the product first.
    If you still experience crashes and slow loading, you should consider resetting IE. After resetting IE, notice the change in speed. You can then start to install the add-ons you want, but if it slows down again, you should disable the culprit that you just installed.
    This is just me personally, but I prefer to run with minimal add-ons. After resetting IE, all i re-install is the latest version of my Firewall/AV suite's browsre protection, which truthfully, isn't necessary, but I've not had problems with it.

  • Adobe Flash Projector EXE files signed with Authenticode digital signatures do not launch and run.

    I am failing to digitally sign Adobe Flash projector exe files.
    Adobe Flash Projector EXE files signed with Authenticode digital signatures do not launch and run successfully.
    It is not currently possible to directly sign a Flash Projector EXE file. Doing so is causing the projector to fail to launch or run.
    What is the way to do it without involving 3rd party tool

    I searched for this in our bug database, but the only bug I found was reported (and deferred) back in 2008.  Other than using 3rd party tools, it doesn't look like this is possible.  I'd recommend opening a new bug report on this over at bugbase.adobe.com.  Please post back with the URL or bug number so others can vote and add their comments.
    Thanks,

  • How can I run a Flash Projector(exe) under GNU/Linux without wine?

    I was received a flash on projector type(exe), there's no another swf file on there.
    I'd like to ask: How can I run that on a Linux?
    Thanks for reading and paying attention.

    This sounds like a question for the linux distribution forum that you're using.  The .exe is a stand alone executable, if you can run win32 binaries then you should be able to run this.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    fscommand("quit");
    don`t forget to import necessary classes
    import flash.system.fscommand

  • Corrupt Flash Start.exe

    I recently received a Flash presentation on a USB stick that
    seems to have got corrupted somehow. The start.exe file that used
    to start the presentation now just opens an empty window with the
    grey Flash logo and the label @''p'''''' @''p'. I can still access
    the presentation by clicking on the .swf file, using my installed
    flash software I am assuming, but would like to correct this
    problem to be able to use the presentation on any machine without
    Flash installed.
    Can anyone please offer any advice?

    You may need to update the Reader beyond AR9.0.0. In any case, ask further questions in the Reader forum. This is the Acrobat forum.

  • BIOS Flash failing exe failing every time.

    I have an HP Pro 3120 Small Form Factor system running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with 2GB RAM.
    I am trying to upgrade the RAM to 4GB however when I swap out my existing 2GB module with the new Crucial compatible 4GB module, the computer makes one short and then one long beep, which then repeats, and fails to boot.
    I have tried the new memory module in another system and it works perfectly so it is not a faulty new module.
    I have tried it in all 4 of the RAM slots in the MOBO and the same happens in each. I have tried it alongside the old module and it fails to boot.
    I have read online that someone else had the same problem with this exact PC and trying to upgrade the memory, and they were advised that they needed to update the BISO version on their MOBO in order to upgrade the memory, which apparently worked.
    I currently have BIOS 6.07 (02/07/2010) and the MOBO is an IPIEL-LA3.
    The HP support and drivers page lists a BIOS update you can download which is 6.07 Rev A dated 10/03/2011.
    I have downloaded this exe file and tried running it. The command prompt window opens, several lines confirm various actions all ok until it gest near the end and I get a message saying that the checksum has been destroyed, and the program has ended normally.
    The flash fails to work, as when I try to reboot I get another message saying that the BISO has been reset to default settings and there is a checksum error - which I would expect when the BIOS has been changed. However upon entering the BIOS, it is still showing the old version, even after saving and exiting and rebooting again. So the exe file looks like it is failing to run properly. There is no option for a CD or USB install file on the HP drivers page - can anyone help and suggest a way around this? Thanks in advance, Scott

    The specs for your motherboard show that it does not support 4G modules.
    You would have to install 4- 2G modules to arrive at the max of 8gigs.
    Your system uses Dual-Channel Memory. The modules should be upgraded in identical pairs.
