Macromedia Contribute 3.11 Slow Connection issues Windows 7

I have got Macromedia Contribute 3.11, i am experiencing lot of issues at the moment.
Firstly, it takes a long time to connect to the server, most of the times it connects to the server, sometimes it fails, but the time it takes to connect to the server is unacceptable.
Secondly, contribute is taking a long time to publish the webpages.
I am using Windows 7, when I ran the compatibility check, it said incompatible detected, and suggested to change to Windows XP Service Pack 2. I did that, but still the issue persists...
Any suggestions or recommendations would be really appreciated.
Many Thanks
Sats

Hi,
To speed up RDP connection, please select High Color (16 bit) under Colors, and under Experience tab, select Modem (56 Kbps).
To make IE fast, safe and stable, please attempt to run this fixit below:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/ie_performance_and_safety
Also, you can use UI responsiveness tool to dig into what is happening in F12 developer tool in IE11.
Thanks!

  • Satellite U400 - Slow connection on Windows 7

    Hi
    I use Satellite U400.
And I can't install wireless driver I dont know why. I open the file and it just won't install but still I think I have the latest drivers for my wireless network,
but my serious question was: why I drop and limit bandwith with windows 7 but not with winXP?
I have 1Mbit/s but example I want to download firefox go to their website's and then it shows between 50 and 70Kb/s but sometimes it gets to my normal max high 120Kb/s, and I saw on google that alot of people have this issue.
And sometimes some website are not loading or I just got error because of so slow connection that websites just turn off :(, never happend before.
plz someone help - any suggestions plz?

    > what kind of forum is this? no help for more then one 1 week , more then 10 days now ?
What are you expecting? This is a user to user forum if someone would like to help you then he will post in your thread.
In most cases such themes has been discussed a lot of time here maybe you should not wait only for someone but should use an advanced search option and could search and read in similar threads for possible solutions
    Regarding your issue:
    > i do have the latest updates and still nobody from you tried to help me to get a fix , why dont you guys belive it? when i said look at google.com and write windows 7 wireless probblem or slow down my wireless, this is a KNOWN issue with windows 7 .
Firsty you said that you are sure it's Win 7 issue
    >i have asked around everywhere and they all say it is NOT windows 7 issue it must be the manufacter driver issue .
Now you are saying it;s notebook issue....
So what is your possition now????
How it could be a manufacturer issue if the speed is faster using WIn XP??? For me it make no sence...
However, I googled a little bit an found this:
Tweaking Windows 7 for Faster Online Connections
    http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/58522.aspx
You can also try to speed up the IE 8
For that use the command: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
This should be typed in RUN
    Then reboot the notebook.

  • Slow connection from Windows 2008 to Windows XP with database 10.1.0.5

We have a server "Windows 2008 R2 x64"/"Windows 7 x64" with an instants client and when we want to connect to database version 10.1.0.5 that,
It's running in a server "Windows 2003 sp2", the connection is very slow, about 26 seconds but if we connect to this database from a server
"Windows XP sp3"/"Windows 2003 sp2" the connection is much faster, it's immediate.
The instants client of both servers are the same, they were installed several versions, like: 10.2.0.1, 10.2.0.5, 11.1.0.6, 11.2.0.1 and the results
    were the same.
    Could you help me?
    Thanks

Can you pls re-phrase your question or elaborate a bit on the issue.

  • MTP USB connection issue - Windows 7 iPhone 4

I have a new Dell Vostro laptop running Windows 7. When I connect iPhone/iPad to the USB port I get an error that says device MTP USB device was not successfully installed.
I went to the Device Driver and uninstalled and then searched for new devices...it briefly sees and indentifies the iPhone but then circles back to the same error "MTP USB device was not successfully installed"
There must be a solution?? I doesn't seem like many others in this forum have this issue?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Cheers

Run the registry editor (type in “regedit” in the command-line”)
Backup your current registry (File -> Export)
Navigate the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / Class
On the left side, search for the entry {EEC5AD98-8080-425F-922A-DABF3DE3F69A} and click on it
On the right side, you will find a key which begins with “Upper…” – delete it!
    Now unplug your iPhone
    Restart your computer
Plug in your iPhone and hopefully find it mounted as a drive again!
    Hope this helps!

  • IPhone 6 wifi slow/connectivity issues

I am new to the Apple family, and i just bought the iPhone 6. I am experiencing frustrating amount of WiFi problems with this phone. I updated to iOS 8.1 last night hoping the problem goes away but it still persists.
I am connected to the home WiFi, but the webpage loading/receiving Whatsapp messages/accessing App Store is mind-numbingly slow on a good day, and refuses to load anything when i desperately need it. My WiFi works perfectly with all other devices connected on the network. Including my old phone.
I have tried all the methods i could find online.
    Turn Wi-Fi off and on
Forget WiFi network and connect again
    Reset Network Settings
    Change DNS
    Restore from iTunes Backup
    Restore as a new device
    Turning router off and on
    Network is on WPA2
Frankly, i have had it with Apple. I am regretting buying this. I am burning through my LTE data, and with more than 20 days on the month cycle and less than 1 gig of data left, i am looking at a huge amount for the mobile bill if the issue doesn't get sorted soon.
Is there any other suggestion? Any other idea? Or will i just have to smash this piece of crap to bits and cry over dollars spent over nothing?

I should add that after backing up my data from my old iPhone 5 through iTunes and then migrating the data through iTunes to my new iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 seemed to recognize WiFi hotspots I'd previously used with my iPhone 5, but didn't take the passwords with it. That is, for each WiFi hotspot, it would try to connect to the hotspot but would tell me that the password was wrong/had to be re-entered. I wasn't sure whether this was a bug or whether it was somehow by design; and I assumed that, if it were a bug, it was unrelated to the issues I mentioned in my previous post. Now I'm less sure that they're unrelated.

  • Yet another slow connection issue

My broadband speed is totally unreliable - and from a quick scan of the forums it seems I'm not the only one!
Much the same as numerous other posters, I'm paying for up to 8meg broadband but typically getting far less than that.  Being in a rural location i appreciate that the local phone exchange probably isn't the most high tech facility in the world, but we're only 2 miles away from it and the speed tester has recorded up to 7meg on occasion.  Today, and this seems to be an increasingly frequent occurence, the speed tester says "your IP profile is 250k".
We had an engineer out 3 weeks ago for the same problem but he could find no faults at the house, said there were no reported faults on the local exchange and the morning before he arrived the IP profile had already been reset to a more usable level.  Rang the call centre again today and after wasting about an hour trying to explain the problem then waiting for him to check things and call me back, then explaining the same thing over again, absolutely nothing has been resolved and they want to send out another engineer.
I have a couple of very simple questions which the customer services team seem incapable of answering:
    1. what is the reason for my IP profile being set so low?
    2. what needs to be done to fix it now?
    3. what needs to be done to stop it happening again?
I don't think the guy I spoke to actually knows what an IP profile is, let alone how to resolve a problem with it.  What is the point of a technical support helpline when the staff quite obviously have no technical knowledge?!

Have spent another hour of my life on the phone to BT helpline this afternoon.
Apparently the reason we hadn't received the call back yesterday was due to a "technical issue" at their end and the request had not been passed on to the engineer team.
Having gone through exactly the same conversation and process as on Tuesday, the helpline chap has run his tests and when pressed told me that he could determine no faults on the line.  An engineer might be able to determine other faults though so he would like to book an appointment for an engineer to call.
Unfortunately, even though I've waited 2 days for this already because they didn't pass on the engineer request the other day, they can't do anything to prioritise the call so I've now got to wait up to another 48hrs for somebody to ring me to book the appointment.  As its Thursday now, that probably means that it could Monday before that happens and therefore probably the middle of next week before the engineer actually gets to the house.  So another week of broadband that is barely faster than dial up.

    Hello!
USB drive is no longer recognized shortly after the start.
According to "Unsubscribe" or "Change user" again OK, but even for a short time.
Have no USB Updat found at Toshiba, a controller failure will probably be.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi Harald
Can you please tell us which notebook model do you have?
Do you use original OS version that you got with your notebook?
Maybe I didnt understand your problem description but I presume USB ports are not working on your Satellite notebook? Right? have you tested it with different USB devices?
When you open device manager can you see some unknown devices there or some hardware problems?

  • MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display connect to Windows share very slowly

    Hello all,
I understand this is a well-known issue to OSX but I have tried so many "solution" and none of these worked. So I am wondering if this new thread could bring in some new idea for my troubleshooting.
I have just purchased a MBP 15" Retina Display and I am experiencing this very slow connection issue when accessing files on my other Windows 7 computer.
The Windows 7 computer is connected by wire to my Buffalo G450H Broadband router. And of coz my MBP is connected by wifi.
Tested on the MBP the Internet speed is okay, over 45Mb. However when I am trying to copy file from Windows 7, the speed is 1Mb at most.
Common solution like modify the nsmb.conf, changing sysctl network ack thing from 0-3, or even enable Internet Sharing or change the DNS server, all these tricks doesn't work. I also read a post to install SMBUp to replace the original OSX SMB service, not working.
With all these effort and I am going nowhere, so here I am, just hoping someone could help.
    Much appreciated.
    Issachar

    More detail here:
I am running Windows 7 on both Bootcamp and Pararell Desktop and they do not have such problem.
And since MBP Retina got no ethernet port, it might be wifi problem only but I am not able to identify it.

  • Very SLOW connection - 5 mbps download

Since November, 2014, I've been experiencing very slow connection.
    Redlands, CA 92373
5 mbps download 30 mbps upload
Called the call center 5 times. Each time, just a bunch of rebooting the router & speedtest.net checking
A new Verizon router was installed and didn't improve anything.
Technician 1 visited and mentioned that there is a network hardware problem in the area and many people called in for slow connection issues. The technician rebooted the ONT box and said if the speed goes down again, the ONT box should be replaced. The speed went down as soon as the technical left.
Technician 2 visited and replaced the ONT box. Later that day, the speed went down to 5 mpbs for download.
It's so slow at the time of writing this that Facebook page is rendered with texts only.
Are there anyone from Redlands, CA area who have been experiencing the slow connection for a while?
I don't want to call in again to go thru another around of 1 hour long rebooting / resetting the router and chekcing the speedtest.net exercises.
I feel I am being ripped off because I am paying for 75/75.
I'm running out of patience and am considering to switch to Timewarner.

  • Windows Domain Controller on Windows Server 2012 R2: Hyper-V roaming profiles not loading due to slow connection

I have racked my brain and done everything that I know to do for about two weeks now.  I am setting up a new system at our fire department and I am having the worst luck with getting the workstations to login to the domain controller with roaming
profiles.  It keeps telling me that the roaming profile could not be loaded because of a slow connection.  These are workstations that are connected directly to the switch that the DC is connected to.  I have tried multiple connections regarding
the layout (DC into the router, router into the switch).  The router is a Cisco RV220W.  I have two VLANS, one for public and one for private domain.  The Private VLAN has DHCP turned off since I am providing it through the DC.  I currently
have a connection from the Private VLAN going to the unmanaged switch that the workstations and server are plugged into.
The server is a Dell PowerEdge R420 that has 6 NIC ports (1 dual port and 1 quad port).  I have a virtual switch setup on Hyper-V for an external port (let's say Card 2 Port 3) that is assigned to the WS 2012R2 Domain Controller.  The DC can see
the internet fine and the workstations can connect to the shared folders on the server.  I can retrieve files by just using the computer name or FQDN.  The DC is also running DNS and DHCP.  The DNS has the _msdcs setup from when I installed
the active directory role.  I have attempted to assign static IP addresses to the workstations:
    IP:                     10.0.0.80
    Subnet:             255.255.255.0
    IPV4 Gateway:  10.0.0.1
    IPV4 DNS:        10.0.0.12
I've attempted "append the specific DNS suffix", I've "registered the connection in DNS", I've used "use this connections suffix in DNS registration".
    The server is assigned:
    IP:                     10.0.0.12
    Subnet:             255.255.255.0
    IPV4 Gateway:  10.0.0.1
    IPV4 DNS:         10.0.0.12
The DNS entries have forwarders that forward to my ISP DNS servers for lookup
I've enabled and disabled DHCP, I've installed a new VM just to create another DC to make sure that I didn't goof up when I created it.
I've lost my patience with this project and am sinking fast.  Can someone please offer some advice as to what I've done wrong?  I've created this exact scenario at work many times but, I've never done it with Windows Server 2012.  Is this
possibly something to do with the Dell PowerEdge server (Generation 12) with the SR-IOV?  I am going to attempt to work on it some more tomorrow when I get over there.  I think there may be an issue with the SR-IOV not being enabled on the machine
through the Dell Bios.  Would the SR-IOV really cause the workstations to report a slow connection?  When I login at the domain controller the roaming profiles and folder redirection work fine so, I know the GPO settings are correct.  I don't
have "ignore slow connections" or any of those GPO's set.  I need to get it working the correct way so, I didn't want to fool the server when there is another underlying problem.  Any help that someone can offer, I am more than willing
to listen.  If you need more information, please ask.
    Thanks,
    Jay

So, I've managed to research this some more since Thursday and I've come to the conclusion that Hyper-V does a horrible job of supporting Qualcomm NIC cards. That's the only thing I can conclude as far as where the issue is originating. I've read many
post and walkthroughs but nothing that has helped. The issue wasn't with any settings in the domain controller. The issue was that there really is a slow connection originating at the domain controller that is a VM and has network connectivity through the
virtual switch from Hyper-V. So, next question is, how do I get the DC to have better connectivity through the NIC that Hyper-V won't give it? If hyper-v would allow passthrough, this would be so much simpler. VM-ware is looking really good at this point.
Im disappointed in MS right now.

  • Connection between Windows XP & Mac OS X very slow

    Hi,
I have a custom server running on a Windows XP SP2, using jre1.6.0_01. When I connect to this server with a client running on another Windows OS, the ServerSocket.accept() method returns successfully & rapidly. However, when the same client is run on a Mac OS X 1.4.9 using jre1.5.0_07, the server takes about 20 seconds to accept the connection, which is an unacceptable period of latency in my production environment. Is it due to a compliance issue between the two vendors of the JRE? Should I install the Sun JRE on the Mac OS X client (if it is possible)? Is there another way to get this to work efficiently?

I'm not sure if Mac is affected, but this could be the slow connect bug
    in JDK 1.5: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=5092063
Fixes are: upgrade to Java 6, or add a reverse DNS mapping to your
name server, or (I don't know if this applies to the Mac) start the program
    with "java -Dsun.net.spi.nameservice.provider.1=dns,sun TheProgram".
