Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 (released in 2000)  with Windows 7?

I have Dreamweaver 4 installed on Windows 7.  The Dreamweaver properties window is stuck in the lower left corner showing only half the box.  How can I unstick it and move it around and get it to show the entire window?

I can appreciate that you have a comfort zone you don't want to deviate from but 15 year old software that was never intended to run on modern operating systems is slated for the rubbish pile.   And if you update to Win 8 or 8.1, you'll just have more problems.

If you want to make a one time purchase, Creative Suite 6 is the last product version Adobe sold outright.  But it's now 6 versions removed from the currently available Creative Cloud 2014.1 software.  Also CS6 will not receive any further updates.  It is what it is.

  • Dreamweaver 8 will not launch with Windows 8.1

I cannot get Dreamweaver 8 to launch with Windows 8.1  I have searched thru foums and attempted multiple deletes and reloads and restarts etc.  I have attempted Admin run without sucess.  It is my gut feeing that Adobe want s me to buy a new version.
    Any suggestions
    Thanks
    David

    Hi David.toto,
The versions supported by Adobe are listed at Adobe - Support Plans : Policies : Supported Product Versions.
Dreamweaver 8 was released many years back and both the software and the Windows OS have come a long way since then. While it is possible that there is a workaround solution to make DW 8 run on your computer, Adobe has not tested DW 8 to run on this OS. It is not the answer you were hoping for, I know, but that's the best answer I have for you. A better answer can come only from a user that is running DW 8 on WIndows 8.1.
    Thanks,

  • JDBC driver for SQL Server 2000 with windows authentication

Does anyone know of a JDBC driver for SQL Server 2000 that supports Windows Authentication, that is that a username and password does not need to be supplied when connecting to the database.

    You can use the JDBC-ODBC-Bridge.
    ODBC provides windows-authentication.
    Hope it helps.

  • We just bought an old copy of dreamweaver cs3. will this work with windows 7? do we have to buy an update?

We need a website and hoped we could build it with just cs3. is it a good thing to do?

It's going to be outdated as soon as you start. DWCS3 has no support for html5 semantic mark-up, css3 (barely css2) and anything regarding Responsive Web Design techniques.
    It's just too old.
If you don't plan to make your site using any of the current techniques, or plan on major amounts of hand coding, it should work fine though.

  • I recently purchased an older model computer with Microsoft Me from 2000. It doesn't have a web browser and I would like to download Firefox. Where do I find the download compatible with Windows Me and how do I download it?

I have looked in your web site product downloads and I am unable to find a web browser download that is compatible with Windows Me from 2000. What am I missing? Is there a web browser download that is even compatible? It is just a second computer for my grandsons to use and do homework on, but I am unable to get up the internet.

  • Install oracle 8.0.6 with Windows 2000

    hello all,
today we have oracle 8.0.6 on NT Server ...
we need install the same release oracle 8.0.6 on new IBM server, with Windows 2000 Server ...
we are looking information about differences between config oracle 8.0.6 in NT Server and Windows 2000 Server
    thanks in advance
    rodolfo

My tnsnames.ora file is using SID and not SERVICE NAME.
The configuration is the same as the other NT server I am using, this is actually a new server we are trying to replace the production with. The only difference is the OS so far. I looked at all the configuration files and the only error I get is that TNS 12203 error when I try to connect to Oracle.
When I try from any client it does the same thing, TNS 12203 and no connection to database.
Could it be the OS, or does anyone know anyone that has Oracle 8.0.6 on a 2003 Server Box.
    Thanks for your help guys.

  • Msi GeForce 4 4200 frame rate locked at 60 with Windows 2000

Lost here..... I have an MSI Geforce 4 4200 120MB Video Card slotted on an Asus A7V motherboard - AMD Thunderbird 1Ghz processor with 640mb of ram.
There is a common problem with the Nvidia chip and Windows 2000 in regards to a lock frame rate at 60fps within games.
I've tried several programs to fix this i.e. "Refresh Lock", "Windows 2000/XP Nvidia Refresh rate lock", "PowerStrip 3.15" and "NVFresh Tool 1.0"
But nothing seems to work. I'm sure these program work with older Nvidia cards but not with GeForce 4.
Any Ideas? I even turned the Vsync off and on.

(A little advice: If you can, dump XP and install a copy of Windows 2000 second edition. They both have the same KERNAL but I find that Win 2000 is much more compatible for now. I give XP 2 more years before it's the OS for all. I've reinstalled 6 systems with Windows 2000 because of compatibility problems.)

  • ORADC problem on Windows 2000 with Service pack 1 and service pack 2

    Hi,
I have a VB application running on NT4.0 workstations. It uses
ORADC control to talk to ORACLE 7.3 When I load it on Windows
2000 with service pack 1 or service pack 2, I encounter some
    problems.
The ORADC control is used in most of the VB forms and the
Refresh method of the ORADC conrol is used to refresh the APEX
TRUE DBGRID PRO control. When this action is executed, I receive
    a run time error
"Method Refresh of object '_DORADC' failed Err#: -2147417848
It works fine when no service pack is applied on Win2K.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?
    Thanks

When I checked the system requirements. I couldn't find information on windows 2003 service pack 2

Whether your OS is windows 2003 with service pack 2?
Are you sure coldfusion 8 will work on windows 2003 with service pack 2?
    Regards,

Well it was there, if you understand the naming properly:
    ColdFusion 8 system requirements
            Windows
Intel® Pentium® II or AMD Athlon processor
    Microsoft®
Windows® 2000 Professional with Service Pack 3; Windows 2000 Server,
Advanced Server, or Datacenter Server with Service Pack 3; Windows
Server® 2003 Web, Standard, or Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 1
    and R2; Windows Server® 2008; Windows XP Professional or Home Edition;
    or Windows Vista®
R2 is the "offical" Microsoft name for service pack 2.

  • Is Dreamweaver compatible with Windows Vista?

No matter what I do I can't insert text into Dreamweaver. I'm
beginning to think Dreamweaver is not compatible with Windows
Vista. I can type text into it but I can't write a document in
another program then insert it into a DW page. It just won't do
anything at all. I've watched about 4 videos on this and read many
things on Dreamweaver help and can't find it. I think it might be
easier to learn html than Dreamweaver. I can't find any good
Dreamweaver tutorials, even in Lynda.com. They all teach as if you
already know most of the program.

Where are you copying the text FROM? Which app?

  • I am tryed to install ubuntu 14.4 lts along with windows 8.1 in my HP 2000 - 2d49tu

I am tryed to install ubuntu 14.4 lts along with windows 8.1 in my  HP 2000 - 2d49tu, but ubuntu does not detect windows 8.1 in the system

It is critically important for you to have created Recovery media before attempting to create a dual boot installation. Make sure that it works by performing a Factory Image recovery.
Make sure that the Ubuntu type matches the Windows 8,1 type. That is critical for a dual boot installation.
A 64-bit OS type will see or recognize other 32 and 64-bit operating system.
If you have a 32-bit Ubuntu it will not see Windows 8.1 as being present.
A 64-bit version of Ubuntu will work well with a 64 or 32-bit version of Windows 8.1.

  • Setup windows XP on a Portege 2000, with no external drives

I recently became i happy owner of a Portege 2000 which was given to me for free(?!) from a family member that doesn't use it anymore.
When i first held it i felt impressed! Its so light and so beautiful.
It came with Windows 2000, which crashed after a while (just one day). So i decided to install windows Xp on it. But the portege has no external media drives that can be accessed through the bios, as i have come to conclude after reading several threads on this forum. After windows 2000 crashed i suspected that the hard drive may have some issues, but i decided that before i purchase i new 1.8" (very expensive) drive, i would try to install a fresh copy of windows XP os. So i bought a 1.8" to IDE hard drive adapter to plug it on my desktop. This thing works just fine as i can see the drive and also copy files on it.
But the problem for me is how can i install XP on the drive and then plug it back on the portege and make it work.
I tried installing windows through the desktop PC, and then after removing all the drivers from the device manager console, i re-install it on the portege. All i get is a grey bar that fills up on a black screen and then nothing.....
I tried to boot it in safe mode but after it loads some files it just gets stuck. I though that maybe if i did the installation on a different desktop there would be no problem, so i installed XP on all the desktops availiable to me (core 2 duo, Opteron, and athlon XP -socket A) with the exact same results.
Is there a way to make the toshiba 1.8" drive bootable through the desktop PC and also include windows XP installation files on the same drive?
What i mean is if its possible to emulate a floppy and access command prompt, while having windows XP on the same hard drive??
If not do you have any suggestions about this issue? Any idea will be very welcome as i have been trying to find a way for about a month now...
I read somewhere in this forum that you can install XP via lan, but i really don't know how to do that.
P.S. Would it be possible for anyone to find a windows xp installation for portege 2000 as a ghost image that i can load in the drive through the desktop???
Thank you in advance & please help me....

So tonight was the big night for me, it was time to find out if i could put kjo's info in practice....
Plugged the 1.8" toshiba drive in the desktop, format to fat32, set primary and active partition and then do the booting part.
So i set of to create a MS-dos boot floppy, only to find out to that (long time no-use) floppy drive was as good as dead...
I tried to do the exact same process through a usb stick but no luck there either. And then it struck me! Mark the file extraction box, unmark the writing on floppy box on the wbootess.exe window and there it is! It worked like a charm!! The drive was bootable on my Portege right away no floppy, no usb stick needed. It just booted!
So i unplugged the drive once more, copied the i386 folder on the drive and ina few secs i was in windows blue screen mode!!...
kjo i am really thankful to you for taking the time and explaining this routine, that program is very useful (wbootess.exe), as you can make almost anything bootable!!
I am very pleased with the little toshiba actually functioning after all this time i could only look at it!

  • Compatibility of windows xp with labview and windows 2000 with labview

I have a very weird situation that I am not sure even I can decribe it clearly. The thing is we have two set of equipments. One: windows 2000 with DAQ card, PCI card, the other is windows xp with same DAQ card and PCI card. All the labview software are the same version. All the program are the same. But the program on windows xp has a really weird problem. Sometimes, the signal is wiped out when I run the program and sometimes it doesn't. I am curious whether the two windows system have different order sequency. Is it clear? I am really sorry about the description since the problem is really strange. Thank you very much!

With more research, I think I probably find the problem but I don't know how to fix it. Here is how the program work. In Calibrate LC.vi, there are four buttons of "set". When you hit set button, the program will aquire 10 data points which will form the signal we need. But the problem is when I hit set button, no signal at all.So I am thinking the program didn't aquire any data in. I uploaded the Calibrate LC vi and also the Aquire Data vi. Does anyone can give a suggestion how on to fix the problem? Also, I double checked the PCI card. The interrupt request for PCI 6036E in windows2000 computer is 19, that in windows xp computer is 21. Will this be a problem too? Thanks!
