Macromedia MX 2004 and compatibility

I have installed my Macromedia MX 2004 onto my new MacBook Pro - yet when i try to open Dreamweaver, Flash or any of the items for MX 2004 - it doesn't do anything. Is the software compatible with the Leopard? Is there a fix??? PLEASE HELP.

If you're really stuck in a tight spot, you could try the 'Crossover Mac' program which allows Windows-oriented programs to run on a Mac.
This of course depends upon what version you've got on MM MX 2004, but if my memory serves, that release was Cross-platform.
Crossover Mac isn't very expensive -they are at www.codeweavers.com
IF you had other uses for Crossover, this could be a good investment. The Crossover program often runs older programs *Better* than new ones. This is why I thought I'd mention it. And I will put in a disclaimer: there is no guarantee Crossover will run your program if it's not on their fully supported software list.
But they encourage trying to install any windows-oriented programs - I've been often pleasantly surprised a lot by it.

Difference between MX 2004 and MX 2004 Pro?

I have a fairly unusual situation and am looking for some
rookie info from a generous soul. What is the difference between
Dreamweaver MX 2004 and MX Professional 2004? I once had MX, the
version before 2004, I believe. I used it to create a web site to
show my paintings. Eventually I changed computers, went to load my
copy of Dreamweaver, and discovered that it had disappeared. As a
starving artist, I have not been able to replace it. (I haven't
updated my art site in almost 2 years!) I'm trying to now, but
can't afford (and don't think I need) v8. I think MX 2004 will do
nicely for my needs. But what is MX Pro? (Can't get the info on
Macromedia site, unless I'm even more rookie than I thought.)

Does anyone know how to transfer Macromedia MX 2004 license without having the old PC(Laptop) on hand?

I now have a Mac and have since gotten rid of my Laptop. I was loading my Macromedia MX 2004 Suite on the Mac when it says "I have too many uses for the serial number." I have since found that I needed to transfer the old license to the new PC, but I can't. No old PC. I do have the complete software, but need to know how to get it to work. Any suggestions?

What port & Authentication are you using?
Can you login with your credentials in a Browser using the same info?
In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the exact message?
Then click the Show Details button & Check again.
The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server, or a server end problem.
If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.
The receiving email ports are:
IMAP is port 143
IMAP-SSL is port 993
POP is port 110
POP-SSL is port 995
Outgoing ports are...
SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.

I have Snow Leopard 10.6 and I am having issues with M/S Word 2004 and G-mail. I can only open docs sent to me in g-mail on google doc?

Flash MX 2004 and Zoomify3.0 custom buttons

Hi all,
I am using Flash MX 2004 and Zoomify3.0.
Anyone know how or where i can find tutorials on how to
change the zoomify standardtoolbar into custom buttons in flash mx
buttons? Zoomify website makes it sound easy but they dont tell you
how.

Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Windows Vista

Does anyone know if Dreamweaver MX 2004 will install and run
on the new Windows Vista?

Looks like the only thing I can't do is establish a
connection to a db. I
get a 405 error with both DWX 2004 and DW8 trial.
If I manually setup the string in code it will work, but then
you can't use
server behaviors.

Do it with a Firewire cable (buy a 800/400 adapter if you need it) - the USB transfer takes a much longer time.
Start up your old PowerMac G4 holding down the "T" key, for target disk mode.
On your new MacBook Pro open "Migration Assistant" in your utilities folder.
Connect the 2 computers by firewire cable and follow the prompts in Migration Assistant.

I am little confused and curious to know the recent changes happening in SAP.

NetWeaver 2004 is named because SAP has released it in 2004
and then we have XI 3.0, XI.7.0(that is PI right) , EP6.0 etc as individual components have different versions released in NewtWeaver suite.
But what is this NetWeaver 7.0.
We have EE5 or ECC6 and WebAs 6.4 or GUI 6.4 or recently GUI 7.o or WebAs 7.0.
How does all these differe, is individual component of NetWeaver upgraded with higher versions or total NetWever is upgraded with a higher version.
Can any one please tell me the exact difference between versions.
If some one has ECC6 installed in their environment does it mean that they have Netwaver components like XI, EP, MDM.. etc are installed or its only R/3, BI etc...

I'm new to using Oracle 10G. After reviewing several rdms's I've picked Oracle 10G as my rdms. I'm trying to build an ecommerce site using DreamWeaver MX 2004 and Oracle 10G. The website will be selling hardware and software products. I have a choice in DreamWeaver to go for a .asp or .jsp setup. I have several questions, here goes:
1. Is there any book/tutorial/whitepaper out there that describes building an ecommerce site using Oracle 10G/9I/8I? Just some examples as how to make the datamodel regarding the shopping basket etc.
2. I prefer DreamWeaver as it let's me make nice looking css style based pages without throttling too much through the code. Are there Oracle tools which allow me to make an advanced nice looking ecommerce site?
I hope some of you can help me get started. Any effort is appreciated.

Open the Preferences panel (Edit menu on Windows, Dreamweaver menu on a Mac), and select the Site category. There are two checkboxes there for dependent files. Make sure both are selected. The Dreamweaver default is NOT to upload/download dependent files. You need to click Yes, if you want the dependent files to be included.

Problems with Apple Preview filled forms and compatibility with Windows?

Anyone else having problems with Apple Preview filled out forms and compatibility with Microsoft Windows after Lion?
I've had it happen recently with two different people, where the data I had entered on a fillable PDF form could not be seen by Microsoft Windows, but I saw my data just fine.
I don't know what version of Adobe Acrobat they were running.

You will get that first message when the document has been changed in a way that invalidates the internal digital signature that's applied when a document is Reader-enabled. Certain changes are allowed (e.g., filling fields, commenting, signing) and will not invalidate the signature, but others are not. The exact cause of the change is often hard to track down, but it can be due to font problems, some type of file corruption, or something that Acrobat/Reader attempts to correct when the file is opened/saved. You will also get the message if the users system time is not correct and is currently set to some time before the document was Reader-enabled. It seems best to use the most recent version of Acrobat to enabled the documents and recent versions of Reader to work with them.
It problem is probably not related to the user using anything in the Sign pane.

Where's the music on iTunes, and what's with the quality and compatibility?

I'm just curious as to whether anyone else has had this issue or not: Does anyone else feel like, after searching for specific songs, there's just little to nothing in the database? I feel like most of my searches are pointless because iTunes has either no data of my requested search and/or only has bits and pieces of it.
Another question I have: After having a slightly successful search, why am I left with low quality tunes? I mean, you can hear the compression... badly. (I know it's not my speakers)
Last question: If I'm paying for the song, shouldn't I be allowed to download a universal file? iTunes uses a unique format that no other application uses. In other words, more money has to be spend for m4a to mp3 converters (unless you're a cracker [not a racial comment]).
To me, I value iTunes and its team, so I'm sorry if I've offended anyone. I understand there are contracts involved with the artists and it's hard to please ALL of the subscribers. But seriously, where's the music on iTunes, and what's with the quality and compatibility?

Today I thought of finally putting lyrics on my songs. So I've been quite some time busy doing that, then I tried it on my iPad (2) and I can't find them. Just as the people above say. Then I went to search where I can find them and I found this page. I'm really dissapointed and I don't understand how something like this could happen. So I hope Apple will fix this soon.
