Macs getting -13005 error when connecting to a 2003 server?

I have a windows 2003 server that is my students file server. I am not an expert at windows by no means. I had a group policy that required users to change thier passwords every 180 days. I have removed this password because the server would not allow the users to change their passwords. I had to reset it for them.
I am now getting an error of -13005 and does not let the user connect to the server unless I reset thier password. In Active Directory I can right click a user and select "reset password" and check the box that requires the user to reset the password at the next login. This works on a Mac running 10.3.x - 10.4.5
How do I correct this problem?

i kept getting all the same errors and i just figured it out. after getting an iphone i went from pure excitment to anger as i plugged it in and realized i needed to upgrade to tiger. then i spent over an hour installing tiger and it still didnt work. i got the same itunes error of not recognizing. HERE IS THE FIX....TURN OFF THE IPHONE AND REMOVE FROM THE DOCK. DONT JUST PUT IT TO SLEEP, HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON UNTIL IT ASKS YOU TO SLIDE TO TURN OFF. THEN CLOSE ITUNES. NEXT TURN THE PHONE BACK ON BY RE-DOCKING. START UP ITUNES IF IT DOESNT START IMMEDIATELY. YOU SHOULD START HAVING FUN NOW, ALBEIT SLOW ON THE 1.1 USB.

Keep getting unknown error when connecting iPod?

Each time I try connecting my iPod in I get an error message in iTunes. It does the same thing when I connect my iPhone in too.
The iTunes version is the one before 9.2 came out.
I get an error saying "iTunes could not connect to this iPod because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000001)."
Please help I'm not sure what's wrong and can't find anything on this issue! D:

well last I tried it did but I'm not using it now because it's at geek squad for repair so that's why I'm using the mac. I've always had this problem with this mac but never addressed it since I used my pc in the past. I think the problem may be is the mac needs updating. It's a G3 but I'm planning on taking it in and having it updated to the newest os/processor, all that good stuff.
But I just switched usb cables and that seemed to work for the time being. Thankfully

-13005 Error when connecting to 2003 Server

I've got a 2003 Server setup with Active Directory and I've enabled SFM (Services for Macintosh), and created a few mac shares.
I created a new account and left the "User must change password at next logon" option enabled, something I don't usually do.
I then went to my 10.4.7 client machine and tried to connect via AFP to the 2003 Server. It presented me with the following error:
Connection Failed:
-13005
I went back and reset the password for the user and did not enable the "user must change password at next logon" option and I was able to login with no issues at all.
I ran some tests using Mac OS X 10.4.0 thru 10.4.7.
From 10.4.0 thru to 10.4.5 I did not see the aforementioned issue, I was prompted by the OS that I needed to change my password, and I was then able to do so.
From 10.4.6 thru 10.4.7, I see the issue. So what's the difference?
The major difference I've found is that the User Authentication Method being used by default in 10.4.0 - 10.4.5 is "Clear Text", whereas with 10.4.6 - 10.4.7, the OS is deciding to use "Microsoft UAM 3.0".
If I change SFM from "Apple Clear Text and Microsoft" to "Apple Clear Text" then I don't see the problem under 10.4.6 and 10.4.7. This is logical as the only UAM the OS can use at this point is Clear Text.
I've also tried using Group Logic's ExtremeZ-IP product instead of SFM and I do not see the issue, this is because EZIP supports the DHX UAM, and the OS will use that instead of it's MS UAM (note that the UAM is Apple's pre-installed version, and NOT the version you can download and install from Microsoft).
I've also tried changing the password for a user account that did not have "require password change at next logon" set and it does not work if the UAM being used by the OS is "Microsoft UAM 3.0", in this siutation I see a "Password change failed -50" error dialog.
So it would appear the issue is with Apple's "Microsoft UAM 3.0".
Has anyone else encountered this issue, if so, did you find a workaround that did not involve using ExtremeZ-IP? or setting the authentication options in SFM to "Apple Clear Text"

Very possibly this is due to differences in AFP protocol versions.
Windows Server has not updated its AFP protocol since version 2.2. Mac OS X uses version 3.1 for Panther and 3.2 for Tiger. Possibly incremental changes are occuring between minor OS updates as well. Just a thought.

GET t2cGetCharSet error when connecting to AIX5L 10.1.0.4 with AWM2

I'm receiving a "t2cGetCharSet" error when I try to connect to a AIX5l 10.1.0.4 database with the new AWM2 workspace manager. I can successfully connect to a 10.1.0.4 database on linux with the same workspace manager. Any ideas?

This is a problem with your PATH. You need to adjust it before running AWM so that the proper versions of the dependent libraries are picked up. If you have a 10.1.0.4 ORACLE_HOME on your system, point it there.
Or, you can just use the thin client connection by specifying machine:port:sid.

Getting an error when connecting ipod to laptop

I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes and then when I plug in the iPod shuffle I get an error message about the version if music software is not compatible with my iPod and to try reinstalling it. Have tried reinstalling the software a few times does anyone have any suggestions for me?

this was a problem with the OS on the laptop. restored the laptop and everything works now.

SSL Error when connecting to the mail server

i started having a wiered SSL error for some of my users on the mail servers when they connect using their mac machines to the mail server telling its the wrong username and password, but the same username and password works from the hand held devices including ipads and iphones. I checked the syslog and the maillog which is showing no errors regarding this. Althou i started getting this error com.apple.launchd[1] (org.dovecot.fts.update): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 second for the past 1 week. i am using 10.9.1 Maverics. I can provide all the logs of the server if needed.

Make sure you are using right security protocol, for IMAP you need to enable TLS/SSL. Go to email settings> Incoming mail > Security.

Calling a pure virtual function is a programming error, so you need to find the call to the pure virtual function and rewrite the code so it is not called.
But I still don't know where I can see the code in this circumstance ? Or any possibilities to fix it ?

Error when connecting to Hyperion Planning Server

Hi All,
I have created connection to Server for Hyperion Planning in Topology, but when i reverse i am getting error.
IndexError: index out of range: 1
When i mentioned port no. 11333 am not getting error but session is in struck in running mode.
I have already created an Agent when i faced similar issue in running interfaces for Essbase to FlatFile and it was solved.
Please help me on this issue.

Hi,
You will definitely need the RMI port of 11333 included otherwise you will get that error.
Usually you shouldn't have an issue reversing using an agent, then only time I see issues is when it is network related or a firewall issue.

DTW error when connecting to my local Server

I am trying to use Data Transfer Workbench to upload data to a new company in my local server.. I am only able to connect with our centralized server and not with the local server in my system.. if i try to connect to my local server, it is showing the following error.
Based on the previous threads.....I have checked in the license manager, the server is correct only and the encryption key type is static.
I also tried changing the encryption key to dynamic, then when i login to sap.. it is showing as
when i give Yes... I get the following error.
I am not able to move forward... Kindly suggest any way to solve my issue..

Error when connecting to IMAP mail server - untrus...

I am using a Nokia N97 with the v21 firmware.
I am connecting to a mail server via IMAP, using the phone's mail client (not mail for exchange). This has previously worked perfectly, however now I cannot update my inbox and view the emails.
When I try to update the inbox, I get a dialogue box that says "Website has sent an untrusted certificate". After choosing "allow permanently", the inbox does not update. The message comes up every time I try to update (even when I've previously chosen "allow permanently".
I can however successfully send emails via the SMTP server using the phone (IMAP for sending is restricted, so have to use SMTP).
Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening, and how I can solve it? I've also contacted the IT guys for the mail server, as I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the mail server or the phone, or both.

PC getting Stop error when connecting iTouch

I have a 2nd generation iTouch that I sync'd up to my pc with no problem when I first got it about 2 weeks ago. Now everytime I connect it, I get the blue screen with a stop error. My daughter also has an iTouch (1st generation) and I can connect that one with no issues. Any ideas on what to do? I repaired iTunes but really didn't want to uninstall and it seems to be just my iTouch. I can connect it to my work laptop to charge with no issues too.

Well, the other USB port was working for a while. Now none work. When I plug my iTouch in, I get the Windows XP stop error and the blue screen of death. The USB port works for other things like my jump drive. I can plug my iTouch into my laptop and all is fine. I recently upgraded my iTouch to 3.0 but it still worked after doing that. Do you think my USB drivers need to be upgraded?

Getting an error when connecting to itunes

I just got an Ipad 2 for and it will not let me connect to Itunes. Everytime I try to connect it it keeps telling me that I cannot connect to the itunes store. I have tried restarting my computer and my Ipad but neither one will fix the problem. the screen on my Ipad is telling me to connect to itunes. any advice would be greatly appreciated

Get 0x80780124 error when trying to restore Windows Server 2008 R2

We are trying to restore a HP Proliant ML350 G6 Windows 8 R2 Server but every time we do we get a message that states "The system image restore failed error details: Windows Backup failed to extend or mount the file system on the recovered volume.
(0x80780124)" We were trying the restore from the CD. Any ideas what would be causing the issues?
