Mad about facebook app.

I am kinda upset about the facebook app. I did not know it would add all my friends on facebook to my contact list. I don't even talk to these people except on facebook. So my question is is there a way to remove these contacts without removing them for my facebook friends list I removed the App from my phone thinking it would remove them from my contacts list but it didn't work.I also tried to remove the contact by just removing it but the phone said "facebook profile can not be deleted", Total {word filter avoidance}

Thanks for your response wushu2004 its what I was looking for. Well not really because I did not want to lose All my facebook contacts(I do have a few friends on facebook that I call). I was hoping to be able to just delete contacts that I don't call.

I just found out that a purchase I made in facebook app was applied to gift card. I did not intend to apply it to that card but to my phone bill which is how I've done before. Hi I bought today the latest iPad,I am a Greek user,I made an apple I'd,I try for hours to download the free Facebook application from the store but it asks me for a payment method...credit cards which I don't have,after reading in community for the "none" option at payment methods,for hours I try again and again but there is no "none" option....my account is the very first account after the intro set up of my new iPad,and I don't have other email to try for a new account.Besides I want to activate the free Facebook app in my one and only and current email.Please help,thanx in advance

Thank you, I've tried that but it won't work either, the logo never comes up. It just stays on the FB app screen. I tried connecting to iTunes to see if I can fix something from there and it freezes iTunes. Also tried disconnecting the wifi (I don't know how I thought that would help but worth a try) and plugging it into the charger but still nothing. I think I'll have to visit the store tomorrow. I appreciate it, though!

Did you buy anything (free or otherwise) just before your son got hold of the iPad?
I've always found that if you've entered your password to purchase or update in the last 5-10 mins that you don't get asked for it again - I think this should be optional for app store purchases but definitely for in-app purchases if they allow kids to rack up extortionate costs.
I hope Apple can do the right thing for you.
£69.99 is a ridiculous in-app purchase cost. Do you know what the app was?

Other Phones have built-in Facebook app, not just a plain browser facebook even when they post the cellphone which they used even indicated there. my FB app in my n8 just open facebook in a link.

There is a dedicated Facebook app available from Nokia store and everything can be done within the app.

How long ago did you last contact Support, and how ? If it's been longer than 48 hours, and only tried one method of contact, then you could try the other :

Facebook app has completely!

Ok, so i have a blackberry 9300 and i had facebook app downloaded, i tried to update it and my phone said i had to delete the app that i already had in order to update, so i did, but i think it has completely deleted fom my device! It's not on my phone, it's not on app world, i've tried going on facebook via the internet on my phone and at the bottom of the page it said 'download facebook app for blackberry' or something along those lines, and that does'nt even work!! Any help or suggestions will be amazing! Help please! It's driving me mad!

Facebook App is not working

Okay don't want to sound like a jerk but Facebook really needs to fix it's app. There have been two updates in the last two days and now I can get the **** thing to work! I don't know much about how apps are made or how they function. That being said near as I can tell it has something to do with the art work which I have no control over that I know of. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times trying to make this essential (at least from my point of view) app work! Before any one asks yes I am still on a dinosaur (iPod Touch 4th Generation) my IOS is 6.1.3 which thanks to apple is as high as I'll ever been able to get because they don't like to produce new IOS software for dinosaurs even though this device is less than a year old to me!
Is anyone else experiencing this problem with the Facebook APP? If so could anyone please offer me a solution?

Even I have this. Probably, issue in Facebook side.(Unable to fetch Artwork) And yes. they released two updates in short interval. Hope they have messed something.

Try closing the Facebook app completely and see if it works ok when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Facebook app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Facebook app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Facebook app unable to load friends list

Hello everyone. About 3 days ago my facebook app stopped loading my friends list. I get a message saying "your friends list is unavailable". Because of this, I've been unable to post on someones wall, send a msg, or poke. The only thing I can do is upate my status, upload photos, and respond to a post someone sends me. I've search for a fix but can't find one. I've restarted the phone, reinstalled the app. Nothing is fixing it.

Only 2 things I can think of has worked for me when I had similar problem. 1. Clear Cache. 2. Log out of FB on your BB then log back in. You get to both of these in FB by pressing the menu key then scroll down to options and select one. Hope this helps.
Edit: One afterthought was to go to My Account in FB on your pc and click on the Mobile Tab. Then re-submit the mobile number for activation. It's worth a try.

Okay, I found the answer myself. Going to about:config and setting browser.showQuitWarning to true, restored that option and brought it back. Thanks to anyone who is about to post. If this is false by default, it has got to change.

Yes tried resetting the wifi connection and problem still persist.
Here it is...to make it clear. Connected thru the same wifi at home...
-> emails (yahoo/gmail) and facebook WEBSITES are working fine and fast when using/accessing thru a browser (chrome/samsung browser) - no problem with this.
-> emails (yahoo/gmail) and facebook APP is soooooo sloooww (thru the App). Slow I mean comparing it to using their browser/websites... news feeds/emails refreshing so quickly but not when using the APP installed in Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Slow like - It will take around 5-10minutes just to get your emails and news feed refreshed.
THIS HAPPENS ONLY WHEN CONNECTED THRU A WIFI which has a speed of 10-20mb. It is not happening when connected to the network data/plan.
My wife has the same Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (coming from different provider at&t) - same setup (emails, fb app), same wifi connection, but she's not experiencing anything like it.
Not sure why, I dont want to believe that while connected to a WIFI, Verizon is restricting anything and ******* me off to make me switch to my data plan connection everytime - which is Unfair!
Was there a known issue similar about this case?

I just downloaded the Facebook app onto my iPod, but it won't log me in.

I just inherited an iPod 4 from my sister. She removed all her settings (and apparently most of her apps, only a MoonPig remained) and her accounts and stuff. She used to have the Facebook app, and it worked fine for her. I redownloaded it, and when I typed in my password, it, as per my user settings, told me to expect an SMS with a security code. I did indeed get that text, and I put it in. It spends aaaaages loading, and then either just keeps loading or goes briefly past the log in page, but after just showing the 'menu bar' of the app (basically the blue thing with the buttons on the top, which allows you tu update the status) very briefly, before any content is shown, it just goes right back to the log in page. I've synced my iPod to iTunes on my laptop, and set up my Apple account (obvs, or I wouldn't have been able to get any apps). Can someone please tell me why it won't let me in? It apparently accepts me logging in fine, because I got an email telling me that a security passcode has been entered and someone has logged into my Fb using an iPod (i.e. me). But it won't let me actually use the app. I've redownloaded many times, restarted my iPod, still doesn't work. Quick help would be much appreciated.
P.s. I also downloaded the seperate Facebook Messenger, and that works fine.
