Made a Mistake with Lightroom 3.0, how to fix?

Hi,
Using Lightroom 3.0 on a Mac. Installed demo and converted the database from Lightroom 1.4 over to 3.0. Then I did something stupid. I imported some images into Lightroom 1.4. About 100 images, shot from 2-3 months ago. These are well baked into Lightroom 1.4, with no way to recall what they were (Previous import selection isnt useful now).
How do I get these images into Lightroom 3.0? I should have imported into both versions of Lightroom as I prepare to move from 1.4 to 3.0. However, These 100 images are buried in my Library and I'm not sure how to get them into Lightroom 3.0.

How to convert my 1.4 database again? I only knew how to do it as Lightroom asked me right up front.
Open in LR3 and you'll be prompted to upgrade. You can find the location in LR1's catalog settings.
I have no idea what all 100 images are. They are spread over a 3 month period so are mixed in with all my other photos during that 3 month time.
If you sort by Added Order, the images are sorted in order they've been added to Library, not their capture time.
Also, a third solution, you may save xmp metadata for all images in LR1 then use Synchronize Folders in LR3 to bring the 100 images in.

My new iPhone 4S can't connect to iTunes, App Store or iBooks via Wi-Fi. Works with 3G network. How to fix this?

My new iPhone 4S (week old) can't connect to iTunes, App Store or iBooks via Wi-Fi (and some other apps e.g. Hollister – but most of the other apps like Safari or ebay work fine). There is no problem with those apps loading via 3G network. When I turn off the wi-fi, it runs over 3G and i can access App store without any problem. When i turn off the 3G network and turn the Wi-Fi on, those apps like App Store won't work, other apps work fine. When i turn on both Wi-Fi and 3G, the App store (and so on) is also not working, other apps are.
I also found out that when the Wi-fi is on and I sign out my apple ID, the App store starts working! But when I log in again, it will imediatelly stop working. I've tried logging in with others apple IDs, still with the same result. There is no problem with my apple ID account, because it works on my iPad, even via Wi-Fi.
When i first set up my iPhone, there were no complications using App store ia Wi-fi with exactly the same account. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but this problem started when i logged in with my UK account and then wanted to log back in with my Czech account.
I tried turning it off, hard reset and deleting my iPhone several time (even without back up). Nothing worked since then.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
I would really appreciate ANY help. This porblem is driving me crazy!

Each time I connect to my IBM computer it crashes with blue screen error message pops up. Apple say that it's my printer/camera drivers. The problem is with iTunes, it likes to play with all the ports on my comp and conflicts with prnt drivers. How to fix

Does anyone know how to fix this problem without disabling my printer. It's very frustrating. It's either I have my iPad or my printer. iTunes likes to play with the ports on my computer thereby causing a conflict with my printer drivers. Apple should fix this problem, I'm so annoyed.

Apple say that its a driver problem, but I've never had this problem before so I am not convinced. Another thread, which I can't seem to find, suggests that it is an apple problem - itunes plays with the ports on the company causing conflicts with existing drivers. I isolated the conflict to my new Samsung printer. I uninstalled the Samsung printer driver and then can successfully connect my ipad without the blue screen appearing.
It's not a windows problem. Windows is working fine. Only happens when Ipad is connected. Actually, this first happened after I installed the new version of itunes. I reget installing the new itunes version, but don't know how to reinstall the previous itunes version.

Made a mistake with os 10.6.3. install

attempting a clean install of snow leopard on a 17in MBP running 10.6.3 snow leopard update - i made the error
of erasing the HD with the SL installer disk utility
Now i can't install any OS.
i am using another mac as optical drive -[the one on the 17in will only accept verbatim disks!]
when i try to boot up from the disk it logs into the other computer instead of booting from the
installation disk.
at first it did boot up from the target computer's drive - and i got several failed install attempts.
at a loss
going to try to install OS on an external HD with other computer and boot up from there
my question is
should it be the original OS that came with the MBP
or

power up other holding down opt key
mac os install disk icon appears with a arrow under it
i click on the arrow still holding down opt key
the install disk ejects
left with static grey apple
the original install disks that came with the mac are 10.5.6 for a 17in mbp
the mac with the optical drive working is a 15in mbp
it won't install the others install disk on anything , i tried that
i am going to try same procedure with sl install disk 10.6.3 purchased from apple
will let you know if it works

Made a mistake and don"t know how to undo it

i use my iPod nano soley for listening to talking books while at the gym.
Copy books from cd to itunes library. Books vary from four to twenty disks. Disks run approx one hour and consist of 18 to 22 tracks each. At some place my computer asked if I wanted to treat the disk as a file rather than each track as file. Seemed like a good idea so i said go for it. Now here is the problem. when i try to scrool thru a playlist i can't get to individual tracks, just to whole disks. For the life of me i can't remember how i got into this in the first place, so i don't know how to get out of it. Anyone know how to open these files.

I've made a mistake with Time Machine

I had Time Machine setup to back up all my files when I was on Snow Leopard. When I installed Mountain Lion these settings went away and didn't back up any files (this is not the problem). My hard drive eventually started to crash, I was able to get all of my files off of it before it completely went kaput. I am on a new Mac Mini with Mavericks. Not knowing you aren't suppose to do this when I attempt to empty the trash bin it goes up to hundreds of thousands of files to delete and takes up to a minute to do one. I will also get prompts that files are in use or cannot be deleted. I cannot remove the backups folder from the trash bin either. Help please!

Sounds like you tried to delete TM backups using the standard delete file process which you never want to do with TM. That will fill your trash and difficult to then empty. Did you try opening the trash and then using the secure delete in finder window from the top bar? This may work.

No contacts are showing up after setting up CardDav with gmail. Any idea why?
Here is how i setup CardDav (with no success)
1. I removed my old gmail account that was setup with the Exchange protocol, checked that my Exchange-Gmail contacts were no longer showing in my Contacts app, then rebooted my iPad.
2. I setup my gmail contacts with the CardDAV protocal as per google's instructions (which match everyone's instructions when I googed to troubleshoot). Google's instructions can be found here: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2753077 .
3. No contacts showed up in my contacts app. I have verified all of Google's troubleshooting tips such as ensuring SSL in enabled, etc. There were no problems or error messages when verifying my username and password. I also checked to make sure my contacts were in Google's "My Contacts" group, which they were.
After pulling my hair out a little, removing the account and going through the steps over and over for an hour, I have given up and gone back to syncing my contacts with the Exchange protocol as per: http://support.google.com/a/users/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740 . My contacts show up instantly with this method.
I would like to get cardDAV working, since Google is phasing out Exchange ActiveSync, and CardDAV seams to support more fields etc (although it is not Push sadly).
Any ideas? Thanks for your reply if you can think of anything.

I'm having this issue too. The odd thing about it is that when using my iOS devices, all of the contacts (and other address books) all show up exactly as I expect and want them to. Now, on Mac OS X, that's a different story. There doesn't seem to be the same functionality between the two Apple operating systems.
Quite frustrating, as I have clients who expect these to work with no problem on their Mac desktops, since their mobile devices work perfectly. They let me know their mobile devices work, and they want the problem fixed. I have nothing I can say or even suggest. It is very discouraging.
I have not been able to find any fix or workaround for this, unfortunately.
