Made a website in iWeb '08, and would like to work on it in iWeb '09 too!?!
We originally had iWeb '08 on our G5 iMac on which I made my website. Recently we bought a new Intel based iMac which has '09 on it. We are still using both computers in the house on a wireless network. I would like to primarily continue to work on the website in '08, but '09 has some features that I would like to use to upgrade the site. Can somebody please tell me how I can go about working on my website on both computers? Right now, I find that if I make changes on both computers that I find that each one ends up having a different version of the site. The site is hosted at MobileMe if that helps. Thanks so much,

You can't use two different versions of iWeb on the same domain file. You'll have to upgrade the 08 version to 09 in order to be able to do that. You can create a Quicktime movie slideshow of the book's pages and share that. Here's how to get your book into an iPhoto slideshow and then export as a Quicktime video:
1 - While viewing the book type Command+P to start the print process.
2 - click on the PDF button and select "Save PDF to iPhoto".
Note: If you don't have any of those options go to Toad's Cellar and download these two files:
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Unzip the files and place in the HD/Library/PDF Services folder and reboot.
3 - select either of the files above (300 dip is used for photos to be included in a book that will be ordered).
4 - in the window that comes up enter an album name or select an existing album and hit the Continue button.
That will create a 200 or 300 dpi jpeg file of the item being printed and import it into iPhoto. Immediately select all of the photos in the new album and sequentially renumber them as "Page " using the Batch Change ➙ Title to Text with the option to add a sequential number to each title. This is to let you put the pages back in the correct order in the event they get sorted incorrectly.
Now you can proceed as follows: create the slideshow in iPhoto and export it out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large (480p with iPhoto 9),

When I opened iweb it opened as a file I deleated. I have a published website with godaddy and would like to update. How can I open the existing iWeb app to the site that is already published?
You cannot retrieve the already published site as iWeb CANNOT open it - it has no import facility.
You need your domain.sites file, which you can find under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. You do not need any kind of account for this because it is your domain.sites file that resides on the hard drive of your Mac anyway. Find this file and you can alter your website.
Use a spotlight search to try and find it and if this does not work you can download something called Find Any File. If you really can't find it, then you'll have to start from scratch because iWeb cannot open a site that is already published. -

Why would you make a new account? This will likely cause many problems. Just get you old account enabled.

I am trying to clear files from my computer. I have a bunch of .m4v protected files that will not delete. They are lectures from college that I do not need anymore and would like to delete them to make room on my computer. I have looked at the help sites and they seem to give directions to change files that people are saving in the future and not regarding past files. I am unable to change anything about the file including the name, so I can not change these past files from .m4v to something else which is deletable such as .mp4 etc. Any help would be much appreciated!!!!
Well, most of what we can tell you is already stated in the message you are getting. A phone can only sync with one library at a time. You have apparently synced your phone with a different iTunes library in the past, or changes have been made to this library so the phone no longer recognizes it as the library with which it was synced. To know which you will have to provide the information.
If you bought them using the AppleID you use with this phone it may simply be easier to re-download them directly to the phone rather than sync them, though you will want to resolve that issue at some point.
