"Made on a Mac" logo in Aperture created books

In books created using iPhoto, the inside back cover contains the "made on a mac" logo which I love because it shows family and friends the tool used to create the awesome product in their hands (and hopefully sway them to the Mac as well!). However, with the beautiful results I've been seeing from the books of late, it would be nice to use these as a quick and inexpensive solution to offering books to clients as well. Does anyone know if the same logo is included in books created and uploaded using Aperture?

The Apple logo in iPhoto is optional. Of course it is automatically setup when 1st create it, but you can remove this option. Simply click "Settings" button under your book. You should see a check-marked option when says "Include Apple Logo." Uncheck the box and the logo will not appear on your printed book. I create my books in Aperture for flexibility, then move the pages to iPhoto because my customers want the printed covers, so you can still have the iPhoto world if you want. Good luck!

  • Removing the "Made on a Mac" logo

    Hi All,
I'm printing a card I made and I can't find a way to remove the "Made on a Mac" logo.
Is it possible to remove it when printing a card?
    Thanks,
    Ziv

Found it in the card options.
    Thanks.

  • "Made on a mac" logo is back

On my latest book reorder this logo has reappeared. How to disable?
    Thanks

Turns out that it is a glitch. The logo stamp is not supposed to appear in Aperture books.
This only took 2 hours and 45 minutes of phone time to get resolved and to get a refund.

  • Sending Aperture-created books to other printing services

Has anyone attempted to take a book created with the Aperture book tool and have it printed by alternative printing services like Asuka or Kodak? Can it be done, and if so, what is the process for doing it?
    Thanks,
    Brad

SharedInk will accept Aperture books for printing. Just upload the pdf just as you would an iPhoto pdf book. At the end of the upload you get an error indicating the pdf is the wrong kind (i.e. an Aperture file as opposed to an iPhoto file). Then you just contact their support people and they move the file along for you to a point where you can view it online at their site and place your order. Works for me.

  • Made on a Mac

Hi there, I am quite proud of my first effort at creating a website but I have one little problem.
I accidentally erased the "Made on a Mac" logo from my Home Page. It is still on the others, but I would like it displayed on the Home Page as well. Is there any way to replace it? I have tried to copy/paste it but to no avail. Is there any way I can get it back ?? Thanks for any suggestions.

    Here Is what you do....
    Go Up To INSERT
    Then Go To BUTTON
Then Click On MADE ON A MAC
    Hope this helps.

  • Remove "Made on a Mac"

How can I remove the "Made on a Mac" logo from the bottom of my website?
    Thanks!

Well, duh. I thought I tried that before posting it here, but obviously I didn't do it right. Sorry for the dumb question and thank-you.

there's a lot of good info in the link referenced above...A simple answer to your question (IMO) is that the pages get created by Ap (look in your iDisk, a folder named "Sites")...now getting it referenced from "homepage.mac.com" is another (mystery) story. In the past two days, I've tried to get answers from .mac support and by the time they get around to looking into the situation (not being able to reference the pages from homepage), the problem is fixed and it works. I suspect there is some directory linkage built that happens during an overnight maintenance routine or something....but the bottom line for what I'm seeing is:
    1) web pages created outside of homepage (from Ap for example) are not immediately available through that server;
    2) they must be added through some other mechanism, but seem to be available the next day
    3) for someone with basic html knowlege, there is probably a way around this, but I wanted something reasonably easy to do...
I hope this helps...it IS frustrating.
    cheers,

  • Removable logo "Made in a Mac" in Hard books

    Hi guys,
As far as I can see the logo "Made in a Mac" is removable in all the designs that can be printed by Apple in iPhoto '08 except for the Hard book designs, please let me know how to remove it in the hard books, or include in a next update the function to remove it. I think the users should have the last word on an imposing promotion in something that will be for personal use.
I'm not opposed to the logo, I just want to have the choice to remove it if I wish to.

The logo can be removed; I just verified this in a hardcover book that I had already designed. To do this, click on the "settings" option at the bottom of the iPhoto window (where the gear is), and uncheck the option "Include Apple logo".

  • Looking for "Made on a Mac" button *en français* (in french)

    Good day, folks...
If you have a look at http://web.mac.com/jfbertrand you'll notice that everything is in French -- something that's important to me, as I'm a high school French teacher.
But the button at the bottom (made on a mac, which links to mac.com) is in English. I've been trying to find one in French, but to no avail.
Of course, I could create one myself, but while there are gazillion apple logos out there on the Intarweb, I don't have the Myriad font.
BTW, in French it should probably read "Créé sur un Mac" or "Créé avec un Mac"

  • Made with a mac

    hi,
can anyone tell me if the "made with a mac" print on the back page still exists if you create an aperture book. It sort of annoyed me in the iphoto books and was wondering if the PRO app did the same ?
    David

    Hi girlwithacamera
It's big, you'll notice for sure.
I guess I could live with it if it was a small byline, but in principle I do not want to advertise for Apple and pay for it. Also Apple may have printed my book, but the content is created by me and I can not see how Apple should take credit for that. If that was the case, it should read made by Canon for camera, SanDisk for flashcard, Adobe for Photoshop, BeanBurners for customer software etc...
If Apple put any value on the advertising, I like to know how much, and then have the option to pay a bit more and get no ads.

  • Aperture created homepages and iWeb created web pages

Is there a way around the fact that Aperture created pages go into a "homepage.mac.com" directory when iWeb goes to "web.mac.com" directory??
The problem is to get all my creations (from Aperture and/or iWeb) into the same folder = much easier to give one type of address to my friends and family!
Precisely, can I change iWeb-like web sites into Aperture-like web sites ?

i have both and i don't know if you can or can't, i was thinking about just making the aperture album and copying the layout if need in iweb and linking to the aperture site. I have yet to make a site in aperture though, i will keep a look out for any info

  • Is it possible to change already created book's size in Aperture 2?

I've spent several days crafting 54-page 11"x8.5" book in Aperture.
And was going to print in special photo lab.
But unfortunately due to their requirements I need to bring the book
    in a different size/page proportion.
Is it possible to change already created book's size in Aperture 2?

You can choose to change Theme and then choose one you made yourself with other size and proportions (Custom Theme), but I would not recommend it since text you had placed in you book most likely would disappear. The same goes for custom layouts you made in your book. And finally, picture scalings and position adjustments you have made will be lost as well.

  • "Made on a Mac" change COLOR

    Hi,
Posible to change the color of the "made on a Mac"?

    mactreouser wrote:
Conclusion, we might need to edit the image in the editing software and re-insert into iweb...that's only way...
    am i right?:D
The suggestion above of placing a colored shape over the logo in iWeb (via Insert > Shape > Rectangle) is the only one that doesn't involve editing software — but it's limited in its flexibility.
...So unless someone else chips in here with an alternative suggestion within iWeb, you're right, you'll need to follow the other suggestions of editing the image in editing software and re-inserting it into iWeb.

  • Made on a mac removal

How do you remove the "made on a mac" and logo on back cover of a photobook on the latest version of iphoto?

In your book, click on the Design icon, then click on the background behind the pages to select properties for the book, rather than any specific page.  Now unclick "Include Apple logo at end of book".
