Madness with iTunes 7 !!

Apple how can you mess up this release so badly ? I mean come on didn't you test iTunes 7 properly before releasing this crippled piece of software to the masses ?
Isn't itunes first and foremost a software for playing music ?? If it cant even do that then there is something seriously wrong !
Even Windows Media Player 11 BETA looks and works better than this !
I cant listen to anything in itunes without it sounding like a broken record !
Please release an updated version soon !!!

Used to live for several years in Austria before and
had a different account there. When moved to Sweden 6
months ago, obviously changed the account and it
worked perfectly, until I tried to use for the first
time iTunes 7.0 yesterday. It asks me to authorize
the songs purchased with an old Austrian account,
which is not valid anymore (email address cancelled
long time ago). The songs purchased with new
"Swedish" account - no problems, while half of my
older songs are blocked. Nonsense!
Can anyone advise me how to solve the problem?

I've experienced the same problem... there should be a clear cut method to be able to keep an original account and be able to change the apple id (email address). It appears the only way to change your email/apple id is to create a new account... which means all tunes purchased under old apple id are no longer accessible, and I agree, this is "NONSENSE!!!" Iphone 4 since upgrade to ios 5.1.1 no longer works with made for itunes, iphone devices.

Ever since I upgraded to IOS 5.1.1 my Iphone no longer works for playing music thorugh my Apline car unit, My Logic 3 clock radio, and a Next made for ipod device.
I can sync through ITunes on the PC and can also play videos through the HDMI adapter.   My wifes iphone 4s and the kids hand me down iphone 3s still play fine through these made for Itunes , Ipod , Iphone devices.
I want to downgrade back to the prior IOS I had before Apple encouraged me to install this bugged one.   How do I go about getting a legit non jailbroken prior IOS version installed on my Iphone?
Is Apple aware of this issue , as I have seen blogs about this it is affecting other people?   Will this issue be resolved with ios 6?
Can I get the beta ?

Agreed. Same thing here. Just bought a late model Alpine INE-S920Hd and it is all kinds of broken. I think this is happening because Apple shifted the music and video. Totally buggy. Bluetooth refuses to work properly, too. A2dp keeps stealing the audio from Pandora in the Alpine interface. The ipod controls dont work at all.

Podcast app doesn't work with iTunes this made me want back to 5.1.1

Apple may want to make podcast more popout. they made a NEW app "podcasts"
but I start to hate apple to do this just like the iOS 6 maps.
the new Podcasts app is desinged to be work alone (without iTunes)
it can download subscribe find, ok that's cool but it just won't work with iTunes. maybe apple have data shows more people are iDevice centered.

back to iOS 5. every moming, I sync my iPhone with my iTunes, 1 new unplayed podcasts from every show was synced to my iPhone. and I play them on the way to my company.
at night I watch some other shows on my mac. them sync with iPhone. all played podcasts will not remain on iPhone, and marked as played in iTunes and ready to be deleted. iTunes only keep 4 episodes. all things is automatic. but iOS 6 Changes everything. It won't works with iTunes, and music can't play podcasts anymore. I have to Manually subscribe on iPhone again! and Manualy delete on iPhone and Manualy delete on iTunes.
THIS IS TOTOALLY Unacceptable... for me. My phone or iPad have very limited spaces, and 3G data plan.
Use iTunes means, no 3G needed, download only once!
Use Podcast app and sync over iCould means 3G data and download as the same number as yours devices. for me I have to download a same show for 3 times.
I Hope there is some way that can make the old music app back.

I agree, i tried to do what i always do at my office today on my ipod touch, connect to the wifi at the end of the day to download new podcast episodes for my subway ride home, and instead, iTunes with the ios6 update installed yesterday won't let me do that, it tells me i need the new Podcasts app, fine, i go install it, and then when i go back to music, it tells me my podcasts are moved, i go to the new app, so over i go. The new app is slow, crashes twice trying to get into it, i can't see any way to make a playlist, i managed to download some new episodes, but can't see how to make a playlist still. I found out how to delete it (and doing so brought back Podcasts and my podcast playlist to the music app, huzzah!!)
The Podcasts app is not the quality i want from Apple. I like my ipod, i really do, but it seems Apple is convinced that whenever they make a change they think will make things better, they delete old ways of doing things that work for us, the real people in the world using their devices. I like the notion of a stand alone app for finding and downloading podcasts, but why does that necessitate removing them from the music app to play since primarily i download all my new podcasts at night, listen to some on my computer while working at home, put them in an itunes playlist in the order i want to listen to them, then sync each morning with my PC to have whatever i haven't listened to in a playlist so it can play all day at work while i'm there.
Hopefully Apple can learn from this and the ongoing Maps debacle to maybe not be so quick to tell their users how we have to use the devices, and instead spend some time listening to how we use the devices to make our experience better rather than enforcing how they want it used on us.

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

.mov movie made with iMovie imported in iTunes

I made (with iMovie) a movie and imported in iTunes where it works perfectly. But when I go to advanced to use "convert selection for ipod" I can't. I have only the line convert to mp3.....
Any help? Maybe iTunes doesn't convert .mov files for iPod use?

probably yes, but I'm not able to open the .mov file in imovies. I made it when I had imovies 04 than after upgrading to imovies 06, all the files look like quicktime files and I can't open it in imovies 06.... So, now I have only the .mov file. It works in quicktime and iTunes but not anymore in iMovie. Any idea?

Use MPEG Streamclip to convert them to MPEG-4, and drag those files into the open iTunes application window.
