Magazines & newspapers on the ipad in the UK

Hi, my iPad is due to arrive on Monday, I'm interested in seeing what mags and newspapers I can subscribe too, but I can't find the relevant section on iTunes Store.
Is it possible to see what is available before the iPad arrives, or are they only visible on the iPad itself?

Anything from iBooks can only be seen from the iPad or another iOS device. But from your computer I think you can see everything that is available from Kindle or Nook or Googlebooks.
Also in iTunes you can see any periodicals available as apps.
What is available in any particular country depends on the provider having negotiated the rights to distribute the digital version there, so it vary considerably depending on where you are.

I am having the same problem. I have a 2nd generation ipad wi-fi only. All was working great until I upgraded. NONE of my downloaded magazines or rss-feeds are accessible. For the magazines, their icons show up on the "shelves" but once you click on one it wont even take you to the "issues" i have downloaded. it jumps back to the shelf page.

When I click on the magazine, my screen is just blank. I can see the purchase, and in my settings/store, the magazine shows "ON".

I would do a power cycle/reset of your device first, if you haven't, to rule that out.

If that doesn't help, talking to iTunes customer support would be in order...or whoever you purchased the magazine subscription through.

If the magazine is browser based, you might also try another browser. I like "Atomic Browser". It is available on the app store.

Cannot re-download purchased magazines to my new iPad, error messages 4032, etc...

I religiously back upped my iPad 2 to iTunes prior to selling it and purchasing the new iPad (3). When activating iPad I restored my backup from iTunes. Of the many managzines I regularly purchase through Newstand and separately on the iPad, certain magazines were able to re-download purchased content, while others either were not able to even though they show as having been purchased, and some were not shown as having been purchased altogether.
Examples error messages for Newstand magazines showing up in my library that I attempt but are unable to re-download are:
Car and Driver Magazine: Issue Feb 2012
Automobile Magazine: Issue December 2011
House & Home Magazine: Issues Nov. 2011, Jan. 2012, Feb. 2012, March 2012, April 2012
All these magazines return this error message when attempting to redownload - "An error occurred. Uable to retreive issue information (4032)."
Esquire Magazine: Issues Oct. 2010, Nov. 2010, Dec. 2010, Jan. 2011, Feb. 2011, March 2011, April 2011
This magazine returns the error message: "Download in progress Another issue is being processed, please wait until all items are installed to download a new issue."

I contacted the magazine direct (SFI) and they gave me instruction on how to get my magazines back. I'll try to explain as well as I can.
1. Deleat the magazine app from your ipad.
2. Re-download the app to your ipad.
3. DO NOT go into subscriptions and try to download or "Transfer" your subscriptions!!!!!
4. Go into the buy section.
5. You will need to re-download every magazine again.
6. Don't be concerned about it showing a price, as when you click on it, it says you have already purchased this and do you want to down-load again? Click yes.
7. Your magazine should start to down-load again.
I know this is not the best way to get your mags back as it takes a lot of time and download megs, but it was the only way I found that worked.

HELP! I switched out my iPad mini today. Was able to log into my 2 magazine subscriptions, but the problem is when I click on 'restore past issues'. When I do, I'm then prompted to enter my Apple ID and password. Saying pw is wrong, but it's not. Why?

I can not download the Golf digest magazine purchased from the i-tunes store, when i attempt i get the message "can not install item, restart app and down load" i have tried that without success. This started after i changed ipads

Let's start with iTunes.
Have you updated iTunes to 11.1.5, because the previous version did appear to have an issue about seeing iPods?
With iTunes 11.1.5 installed, look in Edit/Preferences/Devices, (or use the ALT key, followed by the E key and then the F key) and make sure that the box named Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically does not have a tick in the box.
Once you have doen those two things, check to see if the iPod is seen by iTunes.

Really?
OS stands for Operating System. (In computer speak, IO means Input/Output.)
iOS originally stood for iPhone Operating System, but it now refers to the iPod Touch and iPhone. The iPod Classic, which you have listed in your profile as your iPod, does not use iOS.
I assume that you have been listening to the Podcast in your iTunes on the computer as you cannot transfer it to your iPod. It's what I'd do.
