Magento text fields show as blank

I recently upgraded Firefox to version 11.
When working in Magento CMS, certain text fields are being shown as empty as if the data has been lost.
Once you grab the bottom right corner and make the field a bit bigger, the text appears.
Has anyone seen this problem and is there a fix?

Firefox 11 introduced a problem with the TinyMCE WYSIWYG/rich text editor. I wonder whether that or a related issue affects Magento?
Could you try a different workaround: zoom up a step and down a step and see whether that causes the text to appear. (You can either use Ctrl++ Ctrl+- or Ctrl+mousewheel for this.)

Text field showing up blank.

I had emailed a PDF fillable document to a staff member who uses a Mac. When she returned it to me (I use a PC) the fields were blank except some boxes that were marked with an 'x'. If I click on the field I can see the text, but when I don't it's blank. Also, if I print the document it comes up blank. Any help would be appreciated.

When i go to send a new text, the text field isn't blank. There is already text entered in the message body.

There is already text entered in the message body that I have to go in and delete before typing my new text. this prevents me from forwarding anything through text because if I get something I wish to forward, selecting forward as an option always brings up the same junk just like when trying to send a new message. How can i remedy this?

Here it goes -
1) Download iBackupBot: http://download.cnet.com/iBackupBot/3000-2141_4-10969873.html
2) Plug phone into computer and run backup
3) Use "Explorer" box to find Messages: HomeDomain/Library/SMS/Drafts/(null).draft/
4) In "Null Drafts" there is a file "message.plist"
5) Double click to open, (cancel the popup if you did not purchase the iBackupBot) and you will see the prepopulating message on the <string> line 6
6) Delete the offending text, leave all code
7) Close text editor
8) Right click on message.plist file and select "Restore selected item(s) to device"
9) File will be restored to your phone and it will restart itself.
10) Voila! Now it is time to consider that Windows phone....:)

Editable Text Fields Showing Up As Blank

Hey guys wondering if you can help me out as I've searched for a solution and can't find one. I created a PDF using LiveCycle where it has editable text fields that one can fill out. The PDF does work but the issue is that sometimes when recieving the document back the PDF looks like it's blank and hasn't been filled out even though it has been. In the attached example if you click on the line next to Occupation, etc. you'll see that there is actually info there you just have to click on the line to see it. This is being filled out by people using Macs and Windows. Does anybody have an idea as to why this would happen. What's even more odd is that it only happens sometimes while other times the PDF works just fine. Any help or info would be appreciated, thanks.

Was the form created with LiveCycle Designer or Adobe Acrobat?

HtmlText fields show up blank

I am trying to load some dynamic text fields with html tags as follows:
_root.pag.pages.page12.home.htmlText = "<font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"24\" color=\"#FFFFFF\"><b><a href=\"http://www.sspaintings.com\" target=\"_root.pag.pages.page1\">Home</a></b></font>";
_root.pag.pages.page12.about.htmlText = "<font face=\"Verdana\" size=\"24\" color=\"#FFFFFF\"><b><a href=\"http://www.sspaintings.com\" target=\"_root.pag.pages.page2\">About</a></b></font>";
I have rendered them as html and selectable in the properties area.
When I test the movie the fields show up with nothing in them.
I have also used the _root.pag.pages.page12.home.html=true; but it does not work either.
The texfields contain nothing. Are these commands not good for As1 - Flash 6

Thanks so much for your insight. Your comment on labeling it text as opposed to htmlText was really good.
After I did that it still did not show. I used labels from other pages that were working and re-routed them to that page and it still did not do it.
I realized that I had created those text fields as a copy paste activity from Frontpage into Flash. (Not that I think it should matter) but that was the only difference when I created that page. The other thing was that the textfields were all grouped in a movie clip something I tried to undo and it did not work it would go back and regroup them into a movie clip. I also tried naming the instance of the movie clip and adding it to the path but to no avail.
So I just deleted that page and started from scratch with a page that already had fields in it and slowly changed everything to what I needed and it worked.
The path is the same except the textfields have been simplified. You can see it in www.sspaintings.com>about>sitemap.
(Sorry for the delay you hear in the music, there is a movieclip loading in the background which is doing this but I haven't fiugre out why)

Text field is missing/blank in inventroy adjustment document

Hi all,
while posting adjustement entries for physical inventory through T-code MI07 we are getting field long text i.e. BSEG-SGTXT empty.
as these accounting documents are posted automatically this text field should be updated by system only.
can help anybody help me with possible reason for such error.

One field shows as blank always irrespective of the selection in the report

there is a field (RKF) in my report which always shows blank irrespective of the selection parameters..
i have verified in the multiprovider with the same selection , filter and condion values what are used in the report,, the field is showing up the values..
Please let me know any inputs for investigating this issue?

Spry Validation-text field shows the "required" text even in initial state

Hi,
I'm having trouble with spry validation.
I insert my spry textfied and go to the properties inspector where I choose validate on "Blur" and "submit" for the Required state. I check the required box for the "required state" but the initial state will also have the "a value is required" text. If I try to delete the "a value is required" text from the initial state, the required state won't show this error.
What should I do?

Custom Flag field show's blank value by default instead of yes or no

Hi TechNet users.
I see this behaviour in a number of my environments (RTM, CU April, ProjectOnline). I have a Flag custom field on task level, these should alway's have a value (No or Yes).
So I create a Project schedule using the browser and add some auto scheduled tasks by just filling in the taskname column. I can view the flag field being populated with a No. Now I publish this project and check it in to the server.
If I now look at that new project schedule using the PWA interface and I do not edit the project but just view the schedule with that flag column I just see a blank cell with the new task.
If I edit the project and Manually change the flag field to say No and publish/check in the project the value is correctly displayed.
But is this by design? To my knowledge a flag field always have a "No" value by default and should be "No" already when I just fill in the task name field. I think this is something the Schedule webpart on PPM doesn't do correctly? Can
any of you reproduce the situation?

Text Fields Not Showing in Design or Live View

Hello Everyone,
I have run into a problem trying to create a simple contact form through Dreamweaver CS6. I have two text fields for Name & Email, and 1 text area for Comments. The issue I am running into is that the text fields are not showing in Design or Live view. I have set-up all variables required for the server for the form to work... but that should not have any effect on the text field showing... I tried uploading my contact page with the same result of no text fields showing...
What is really laughable is that the "text area" I placed in my form for Comments shows up in Design & Live view just fine. I am thinking that I am missing something, but just do not know what exactly. The form is styled through CSS.

Are there other variables I should be thinking about in the rest of my site? I am using a fluid grid layout. I have CSS for desktop, tablet, and phone devices. I also have a primary CSS file that imports all three. The sites structure was done by using <header>, <article>, <footer>, and of course <div> tags.
Has anyone ever experienced the "text fields" not showing up before? Is it a simple fix as reinstalling Dreamweaver CS6? Finally, another thing I should mention is that I did have a previous version of Dreamweaver on my comp, which was CS3. I did not uninstall that before installing the newer version. I assumed (and I could be wrong here) that it would automatically replace the older version.
I apoligize for it being long winded, but I am looking for some help on this issue...

Ya I found what was blocking my text fields in my desktop.css
I primarily work through code view, and currently working on quite a few projects kind of makes your eyes miss the small errors.

Why does text field in InfoPath 2010 show user name with two commas between first name and last?

Here's the problem. I have a text field called Manager in an InfoPath 2010 form that is getting populated by a drop down field called
Business Unit.
The Business Unit drop-down field is pulling information from
column A in a custom list via a managed data connection. The custom List has two columns:
Title & Manager.
The Manager column in the custom list is a 'Person or Group' type column.
The Data Connection pulls both the Title, Manager
(and ID) data.
There is a rule on the Business Unit drop-down field to change the value of the
Manager text field with the Manager data on the custom list. The rule pulls the
Manager information and filters the value to match the
Business Unit on the Data Connection with the Business Unit drop-down
field value (Main).
The Business Unit drop-down field works great and pulls the value from the custom list, and the rule populates the Manager text field. The problem is that Manager text field shows the name as such:
[smith,, john]. Notice the two commas between the last and first name. There should only be
one comma!
Anyone have an idea why the text field is appearing with two commas?

I have a workaround for this. I have an InfoPath 2010 form pulling data from a SP2010 list. The user chooses a System (Business Unit) from the dropdown list and that choice auto populates the associated user (Manager) for that system. I had to
use concatenation, substring before and substring after to display the correct data.
concat(substring-before(DisplayName, ",, "), ", ", substring-after(DisplayName, ",, "))
DisplayName is the original data for the field. I am able to cut & paste this field into the formula. Therefore, I added a few spaces to separate it from the actually formula for future use.
Select Insert Function
Select concat
Select the first link to double-click to insert field
and then select Insert Function
Select the Text category and choose substring-before
Select the third link to double-click to insert field
and then select Insert Function
Select the Text category and choose substring-after
Copy and paste your fieldname (in my case DisplayName) in the
double-click to insert field
parts of the substring-before and substring-after links.
Delete the middle double-click to insert field link
Add quotes, spaces and commas so that they match the following format:
concat(substring-before(DisplayName, ",, "), ", ", substring-after(DisplayName,
Translation:
concat(substring-before(Doe,, John, ",, "), ", ", substring-after(Doe,,
John, ",, "))
Bring together all of the text before ",," (i.e. Doe) with ", " (comma, space) and all text after ",," (i.e. John).
It should return
Doe, John.

Using IF's with a blank text field

Is there a way of making this IF carry out its function if txtExchange is blank? Sorry if this seems a really simple question but am still trying to get my head around java. Thanks

Set blank to a text field

Hi,
I have a PG where I have 2 dropdown and a text field. Now dropdown A has fire partial action. Now what I want to do is as soon as i select any super commodity i want to set that text field value to blank.
i have tried to setText for that field but it is not working as I am trying that in processFormRequest. Can you please let me know how to hanlde this easility?

Since there is no VO attached to the item, do what Srini suggests , that is the only option you have since SPEL would not support the value property.
Please search in the forum on how to do the redirection, I remember posting some code for this

Using radio buttons to populate a text field

Hi
This is my first time creating Adobe Forms and my first time using JavaScript as well. One of the questions on my form asks about Ethnicity and I have about 15 choices for which I created radio buttons. I want the user's choice to populate a textfield, but am not sure how to write the code that will do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you set the export value (aka Button Value, Radio Button Choice) of each radio button to the text you want to show up in the text box, the custom calculate script for the text box, which you should set to read-only, can be simply:

If none of the radio buttons is selected, the text field will be blank. Change "Ethnicity" above to the actial name of the radio button group.

Automatically display instance count in caption of text field

What is the code I use to make the caption of a text field show the instance count of its parent subform?

There is nothing wrong with your code....but you are assigning a numeric value to a string value and javascript does not seem to like that. If you modify the right side of the equation to be:
"" + this.parent.index
Then it seems to work.
