Magic Mouse Bluetooth and MacBOOK Pro problems

Hello,
In the past few days, I noticed the BT Magic Mouse started stuttering as if it was low on batteries or too far from the MacBook Pro (not a Mac Pro)
I checked the batteries, they are at 100%, I am using the same mouse pad as I ever did and the mouse is being used about 10cm away from the laptop in clear view.
I tried disconnect/reconnect to no avail. Same with rebooting. The issue seems to come and go as it pleases.
Has someone experienced anything quite like this?

Yes, unfortunately I do, and it seems (in my case to have to do with the laptop, not the mouse). My mouse is about two feet away from the laptop and it stutters often. Then, when I move closer it appears to work smoother. I tried another magic mouse (that I know to work well, when paired to an iMac) with the same result. Unfortunately, my desk is setup in such a way that I have to change hands in order to move the mouse closer, so this is not an option. I think it must be a bluetooth issue with my Macbook Pro (2007 with a recent motherboard because of the nvidia bug issue), but it only started after using the magic mouse.
Is this a known issue, or does anyone know an easy fix?

Whenever I connected my Magic Mouse to my Macbook Pro Retina, the Internet does't work right away,
and while I disconnected the Mouse, it works immediately......
Does anyone has the same prob. or know why it happens?
Please help me out and thanks for your kindness!

But I tested, I clicked a link and it started loading, and when I got the Mouse connected, it stops the process and got stuck...
And I clicked a link again, now with the mouse connected, it stuck forever, and when disconnected the mouse, it immediately works!

  • Choppy Magic Mouse on 13" Macbook Pro Retina

I recent upgraded from a mid 2012 Macbook Pro to a 13" retina and now my magic mouse scrolling and tracking is very choppy. Anyone else experiencing this issue? It was working flawlessly with the 2012.
    Specs are as follows:
    13" Retina
    3.0 i7
    8gb ram
    512gb SSD

I had the same issue and I finally make it work executing following steps:
    1. If the Mouse is displayed on Win 7 Bluetooth devices, remove it.
    2. Reboot the computer on Mac OS and change the name of Magic Mouse then remove the Magic Mouse from Mac OS Bluetooth list as well.
    3. Reboot the computer on Bootcamp/Win 7 and use Bluetooth add device to pair the Magic Mouse on Win 7. At this time it should work on Win 7.
    4. Reboot the computer on Mac OS and add again the Bluetooth device. At this point, the name of Magic Mouse will be the old name, so you have to change it to the new name you just set it at step #2.
After this, my Magic Mouse works fine in Mac OS and Win 7 Ultimate/64bits.

  • How do I set up magic mouse to my macbook pro, blue tooth will not recognize?

I am having trouble setting up my new magic mouse, bluetooth does not discover it, what do I do?

are you are using fresh batteries and have you successfully used bluetooth before?  Also, did you turn the mouse on? If not, flip the switch on the back of the mouse that is next to the circle.

  • Why did Lion 10.7.3 mess up my magic mouse on my macbook pro 2011?

My mouse was working fine and as soon as I updated to 10.7.3 my magic mouse went wacky!  Swipes don't work now. I will be move my mouse to the other side of the screen and it jumps all over the place.  And randomly clicks on items when I havnt pushed the mouse buttons.  I'm glad I still have the track pad on the macbook pro. But for video editing it just isn't easy to use like the mouse.   I reeeeaaallly hope they fix this soon.  Or if anyone out there knows how to fix it pleeeease share with me.
Im using a macbook pro with lion os x 10.7.3 and .... well  I was using a magic mouse connected via blue tooth.. but its almost impossible now.
    Thanks

I am having the same challenge, what I have found to be a temporary fix is to disconnet the magic mouse and the reconnect using the BlueTooth Preference in system preferences.
I am also am having connectivity issues with my Plantronic Voyager Pro and my Ecamm BT-1 all are inconsistant now and intermittent.
So far no one seems to have an answer.  Maybe if someone from Apple is monitoring this forum, they can add some imput for us?

  • Does the Magic Mouse work with Macbook pros?

I've read on a website that the Magic Mouse only works with the iMacs they ship with.
    So, no Macbooks?
    Can someone confirm this?

I just got my magic mouse and it indeed does work with my 2.8ghz MBP.
HOWEVER, none of the scrolling features seem to work. The mouse connected to my bluetooth without any problems, it left and right clicks fine but zero touch surface scrolling seems to work.
Tried reconnecting, on/off, computer restart etc. and no love from the magic mouse whatsoever.
I'm all ears for any solutions.

  • How can I use my Magic mouse in a Macbook pro?

I have an iMac and I'm using the magic mouse. I just got a Macbook Pro and would like to use the mouse with this computer too.
How can I make it work in both computers?
I won't use them at the same time of course. I use one during the day, and the other at night so I'm hoping to make the mouse work in both.
    Thanks in advance!!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
You have been very helpful! I will try that! Thanks!!
PS: One last question, will it work if I put it in "sleep" mode or it has to be shut down?
    Thanks again!

  • Can I use 2 magic mouse on 1 macbook pro/air in different offices?

I want to be able to use a macbook air/pro in 2 offices. In each office I want a magic mouse/wireless keyboard/27" thunderbolt display. When I take my laptop to each office will they just work or do I have to re-pair each time? Or is there a solution to make this all work easily?  Thanks.

They should just work, if nobody pairs them to another computer while yours is gone.

  • My Magic Mouse for my Macbook Pro is not connecting and it's not the batteries' fault what shall I do?

    Plzz help ^^^^^^

How do you know it is not the batteries fault.    Have you changed them for brand new good quality batteries, after cleaning the inside contacts of the battery compartment?

  • Magic Mouse Brand new MacBook Pro

Control + Swipe on the mouse will no longer Zoom in or out... Was working prior to my last restart...

Open System Preferences, Mouse and see that you have all gestures still selected that you want to use.  If not check them again and restart the MBPr.

  • Logitech Wireless Mouse and MacBook Pro

    Greetings.
I'm thinking about buying a Logitech wireless mouse for my MacBook Pro. The mouse comes with a USB wireless card. Will I need to use this or will the wireless/bluetooth card in the MacBook pick up the mouse by itself?
    Cheers,
    John

I don't understand your problem. Is it that you can't see the arrow or what? You say the button and all work fine so I am stumped by your question. I have problems with my mouse being recognized by the MBP but I just turn off mouse, restart laptop then turn on mouse and it comes back up. If I ever put my MBP to sleep I shut the mouse off first and wait until it says mouse disconnected or whatever it says..I can't recall. Then I put the MBP to sleep. Once I wake it up turn mouse back on and voila..works!! Maybe try pushing the little "Connect" button on the bottom of the mouse that might help. I have never tried that but just a suggestion.
Sorry if this is all confusing.

I have a problem today every time i connect a usb mouse on the macbook pro the laptop turns off. What could i do to fix it?

    Execute SMC and PRAM resets:

If no success, try another mouse.  It may be faulty.

Please do not post the entire messages log as it takes up unnecessarily a lot of space.  It seems that there is a corrupt/nonfunctional file called
    [email protected]nt.plist
Go to your hard drive, enter library, go into users, and go into launch agents and delete the thing above.  Empty the trash and restart.
