Magic Mouse Middle Click in Windows 7 64-bit Bootcamp?

Any ideas?, I found something (link below) but I'm not sure if its safe.

That looks relatively safe but quite impractical in the long run.
I'm looking to achieve something similar, getting the middle click button to work, since it would be very useful through general productivity in terms of web browsing as well as for gaming such as Minecraft (building).
Anyone got any ideas as to how to achieve this? I know it's not possible to get this functionality in OS X without some third-party tool such as MagicPrefs, but surely it should be possible in Windows.

I have the same mouse and after searching a solution, I found this article:

You only need to unpair the Mouse from your Mac System, Reboot to Windows Boot Camp and pair the Mouse...
Now you can pair again on Mac OS and "voilà", your mouse can now work's in both Systems...
For me, it works!

Magic mouse right click problem in Mountain Lion

Hi!
My Magic mouse right-click doesn't work in Mountain Lion! in previous OSes it was working properly (Leopard and Lion), but when I upgrated to Mountain, this problem occured.
if you click anywhere on the magic mouse, it simply do a click, not a right-click anyway...
I did a lot of searches and changes but the problem is still alive...
somewhere suggested disabling "Secondary Click", then restart, and then enabling it. but nothing changed...
somewhere suggested to remove two files named "com.apple.Bluetooth..." in /Library/Preferences, and then restart the system, but this not worked for me, too...
I changed the "Secondary Click" to "Click on the left side" but nothing changed and the magic mouse did just clicking and not right-clicking!
I wondered what can I really do to solve this problem?!
any suggestion is appreciated...

I still use the magic-mouse and still it's not stable. I've found theONLY way to overcome the rightclick is to make sure that you're NOT pressing anywhere else on the mouse (even touching) and only pressing at theTOP right-hand most corner.
It's not the best resolution, but the best that Applecare could provide me with. I thinjk, because it's relatively new due to the new generation of capacitive touch devices that we all get the bugs/flaws.
As like the iPhone, although an EXCELLENT device, and the various versions of OSX, we're going to be plagued eith bugs until a newer review comes out.
The way I found out was to use BOTH tools (MagicPrefs and BetterTouchTool) together, and in both set the Rightclick sensitive area to a near nothing for system wide (non app specific).
It does fail at times on some apps, and takes a few clicks, but 90% of the time it's cleared up.
I somehow think that most developers (and yes its the developers not apple) that forget that we rest out palms on the mouse) and they don't filter out the events forrectly (i.e. a palm on the mouse is seen as a tap). Othere works well, for exmaple I use photoshop, which adapted well to the mouse. The majority of games, and including those (ESPECUALLY THOSE) flash mbased, don't like the mouse at all!

Yes the preferences does not help with this issue I have done everything to get my right click back but no joy. Until now this is a kind of fix for it. If you go to google and search magicprefs it is a free download and it basically lets you pick and choose what your mouse gestures does for you when you swipe ,click and tap your mouse thus you can click on the right mouse gesture and voila you have right click back.
Hope that is a help I know how frustrating it has been.

It should work the same way it does in OSX, but for it to work correctly, you need to install the Boot Camp drivers in Windows. You can do this by using the Boot Camp Assistant in OSX, then creating the "Windows support software (drivers)" package. Follow the instructions there, then use the resulting thumbdrive to install the drivers and apps into Windows. Then you should be able to two-finger-click the touchpad or right-click your mighty mouse or other two-button-enabled mouse.

Caveat: I've done this, and I've found that the two-finger-click in Windows is iffy. That is, it frequently triggers a left-click function instead of right-click. :-/

Cannot get Magic Mouse to work in Windows 7 64-bit using Boot Camp

I recently purchased a Magic Mouse and installed it on the Mac OS X partition of my MacBook Pro. After successfully installing on the Mac side, I switched to Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using Boot Camp to install on the Windows partition. When I try to "Discover" a new Bluetooth device, the Magic Mouse does not show up in the list of devices (the mouse is powered on and next to the computer).
I am using the most recent version of Boot Camp (3.0.2) and have updated Windows 7. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, is there a fix for it?

OK, that is a Bluetooth mouse so open Windows Devices and Printers>Add a Device Toggle the power (on the mouse) off and then on. he mouse should appear in the window, follow instructions to add it.

Magic mouse - right click doesn't work in certain user accounts

Hi,
I have configured my magic mouse to enable right click in my account without issue, however, in my wife and daughter's accounts, i am unable to set it up. When i click to enable right click in mice settings, I am able to tick the box to enable right click, but as soon as I close the settings application, and then reopen, the option to enable right click is no longer selected.
All accounts have admin privileges.
Any suggestions appreciated as right clicking is helpful.

Magic Mouse opening new webpage window

I got my Magic Mouse today. With the previous (Mighty) mouse, I could just click straight down on the scroll ball to open a web page link in a new window. It worked flawlessly. Now, instead, I find I have to hold the command key down while clicking to do the same thing.
Does anyone have a workaround?

Holding the command key while clicking is the routine Safari method.
Check System Preferences/Keyboard/Keyboard Shortcuts to see if things there match your needs or not.

Magic Mouse - Center Click

There are many things I like about the new Magic Mouse but I really miss the center click. I use it all the time while browsing the web. I center click on links to open them in a new tab. Since the Magic Mouse has a touch interface surface it seems like you could program any number of functions with multiple finger clicks or taps. Are there any plans to expand the Magic Mouse functionality with software updates? I would really like my center click back. My recommendation would be a two finger click.

I have read that others have used it but I personally would wait until the release version. In the meantime there may be other ways to achieve what you want using System Preferences or Preferences for Safari for example. From Safari's Preference, General tab, "Open links from applications", select radio button "in a new tab in the current window". No need to do anything else except a normal mouse click on a link after that.

E540 Make Ultranav middle click behave like mouse middle click

I want the middle click on my Ultranav to behave like a middle click on a physical mouse does, where pressing down brings up the windows scroll thingy and makes me be able to open links in new tabs and close tabs. I don't see an option to do that. How can I change it?

The mouse from my imac G4 did this due to a break in the cord inside the housing. In my case, a new mouse was the only solution. It was sporadic at first, then longer and longer till I couldn't single click anything anymore.

Magic Mouse: Double-click function

I have "secondary-click"(right) activated on the "magic mouse" and it's great if I want to open a drop-down list on a page.
However, on the "mighty-mouse" which I had before, the "right-click" was set up to act as a "double-click" which was very handy for opening documents and folders etc.
Is there any way to set up the "magic-mouse" so that a "right-click" will act as a "double-click"?

Magic Mouse single click double clicks and drops dragged images

Last few weeks my Magic Mouse has started behaving strangely. When selecting something with a single click the mouse seems to double click and open the item instead of just selecting it. Very frustrating. When dragging anything across the screen it always drops the item halfway there.
What is going on? Software? Hardware? I have no 3rd party software installed and have tried various double click speeds with the same result.

It appears to be a bug in the OS. Annoying, but until Apple fix the problem, it's something we're unfortunately going to have to live with. Sorry I can't help you further.

Is there a way to assign the mouse middle click

hello all,
I have a graphics pen , and I wish to assign the middle click ( the button that is on the pen ) to switch the foregrou and background color. It is mor handy when painting. is there anyone who knows a method , generally I want to know if I can assign other buttons besides keyboard, like signals from a midi console ?

I already tried that, but the driver interface has no other posibilities than mouse left/right click and middle click (and double click) .
now I am thinking if there is a program that makes a bridge between mouse and keyboard commands. I searched, but no results so far.
