Magic mouse on bootcamp

hi guys
just bought the magic mouse, and i wanted to know how to make it run on my bootcamp.
i have a macbook pro 13'' 2011.
please help me

You adjust and when using windows you have to go back and adjust again what makes it double-annoying. I understand your point and hope there will be natural solution soon. For now this seems to work: http://www.howtogeek.com/57542/how-to-get-the-worst-os-x-lion-feature-in-windows -reverse-scrolling/

  • Magic mouse on bootcamp with cad files

    Hey,
I want to know if can someone help me to figure out my problem.
I am student to architecture and need the middle button for cad files like autocad, sketchup etc...
For mac I have the magicprefs app - that enable the middle button.
but for windows (run with bootcamp with the 5.1 driver) I don׳t see any solution for this. (and a lot of topic with this problem).
I happy to see answer from you.
    thank you very much.

I had the same issue and I finally make it work executing following steps:
    1. If the Mouse is displayed on Win 7 Bluetooth devices, remove it.
    2. Reboot the computer on Mac OS and change the name of Magic Mouse then remove the Magic Mouse from Mac OS Bluetooth list as well.
    3. Reboot the computer on Bootcamp/Win 7 and use Bluetooth add device to pair the Magic Mouse on Win 7. At this time it should work on Win 7.
    4. Reboot the computer on Mac OS and add again the Bluetooth device. At this point, the name of Magic Mouse will be the old name, so you have to change it to the new name you just set it at step #2.
After this, my Magic Mouse works fine in Mac OS and Win 7 Ultimate/64bits.

  • Magic Mouse Drivers - Bootcamp

    Apple,
The Magic Mouse is a great product but thus far you've ignored those who work in Bootcamp with Windows. My occasional jaunts into the Windows world are disappointing and should not be. Please release drivers that better utilize Magic Mouse features in Windows.

This issue appears to be resolved (well, it never required resolution, just the proper drivers) by installing only part of the Apple Bluetooth Update 1.0 for Windows.
The update can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL952
Once the package is downloaded, you must extract the files using WinRAR or any other similar ZIP/RAR utility.
You must extract the files from the update. If you simply try to install the entire update, you'll receive a prompt stating the update isn't required for your specific model, as this update is intended for the iMac.
Once extracted, open the target directory and double-click the AppleWirelessMouse.exe that applies to your Windows OS (32 or 64 bit).
I'm using my Magic Mouse with Boot Camp and Fusion 3.0 running Win 7 and both vertical and horz scrolling work just fine. The Magic Mouse also feels a bit more responsive. Both are welcome improvements.
I'm not quite sure why Apple hasn't provided more information on this, it seems they're okay with the implication that Magic Mouse only works in Mac OS X.

  • NEED Middle button for Magic Mouse in Bootcamp!

    Hey guys!
I recently purchased a Magic Mouse, and my oh my is it AWESOME! Problem is that it hadn't occured to me there was no middle button and I DESPERATELY need a middle button to use Solidworks under Bootcamp. Anyone know of any drivers/programs/hacks that'll enable middle button for me? Else I've effectively wasted $70, and being a student, that hurts.
PLEASE let me know ASAP! I'd hate to have to get one of those generic mouses.
    Thanks!

I am pretty sure that this is not possible, try finding a version of the software you use that is compatible with Mac OS X?

  • HT1846 I have a windows 7, and i'm trying to make my Mac's Magic Mouse work on my PC... do i need to download this BootCamp? or should i install a driver especially made for Windows 7?

Is there any way that i can have my Magic Mouse to run on my PC (Windows 7)?
i am looking for drivers online, but i don't want to install something that Apple may not approve of. I'm sure if there were such a driver, then Apple would have provided it; unless i have missed something.

when one makes the bootcamp driver disc in bootcamp on osx it builds a cd with apple tested drivers for the hardware for windows

  • Magic Mouse still not connecting on Bootcamp 3.1 with Windows 7

I had windows 7 ultimate x64 running on Bootcamp the last few months and was thrilled to see that the last update would work with my shiny new magic mouse.
To my disappointment it didn't. I tried reinstalling the update (x64 version of it) a few times, and manually deleting the drivers related to bluetooth and mouse from the control panel so it would make a clean reinstall, but without any luck... I followed every instruction, rebooted a zillion times and still nothing.
It detects the mouse on bluetooth devices, it even knows it's mine (has my name on it), but keeps on trying to connect forever...
    Anybody has this problem?

    All,
Here's how I got it to work:
Go to Device Manager > Bluetooth Radios > Generic Bluetooth Adapter
Right click > Update Driver Software > "Browse my computer for driver software" > "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
    Uncheck "Show compatible hardware"
Under Manufacturer select > "Apple Inc."
Select the "Apple Built-in BluetootDFU" and click "Next" a bunch of times.
Then, go to the Bluetooth Icon in the system tray or in the control panel. Turn off the Magic Mouse before you try to discover the device. It should do it's thing automagically and come right up after you turn the Magic Mouse back on.
At least these are the steps that worked for me.
The problem I'm seeing is that the mouse stops responding if you're not constantly moving it. I'm going to try the different Bluetooth adapters from "Apple Inc." to see which one works best.

Hi, I am using Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro via Bootcamp. My magic mouse working good but I need middle click for some design softwares. Hello,
I have the same mouse and after searching a solution, I found this article:
    http://superuser.com/questions/814156/hp-bluetooth-mouse-works-in-osx-on-macbook -but-not-in-windows-8-1-boot-camp
You only need to unpair the Mouse from your Mac System, Reboot to Windows Boot Camp and pair the Mouse...
Now you can pair again on Mac OS and "voilà", your mouse can now work's in both Systems...
    For me, it works!

    Hi everyone!

  • Have to delete Magic Mouse from MacOS to pair with Windows Bootcamp

Like many I couldn't get my Magic Mouse to pair in Windows when dual booting with BootCamp to Windows 8.1 on my 2012 MacBook Air.
Whenever I searched for bluetooth devices it wouldn't be found, or would sporadically appear but fail to pair.
The solution for me was to reboot into MacOS (where my mouse had already been paired, and automatically connected) and Delete (not disconnect) the mouse from Bluetooth settings.
Then when I rebooted back into Windows the mouse was detected under Bluetooth devices and could be paired.
I hadn't found this particular solution on the forums, and so thought I'd share.

Another follow up to this.  I unpaired my Mac Mouse from Windows and gave it to a friend to try out on his Bootcamp MacBook Pro.
It unpaired from my Windows and re-paired to his Windows fine.
Then when he unpaired it from his Windows and gave it back, it wouldn't come up in the list of bluetooth devices for pairing on my Windows.  It would in his though.
The solution was to boot back into MacOS on my laptop, where the mouse spontaneously connected, and delete it there. Then I could reboot back into Windows and find the mouse under bluetooth devices for pairing in Windows again.
This was despite not having logged into MacOS for over 6 months.
It's almost like the mouse reverted to being bound to the first device it ever paired with.

  • Magic Mouse not working in Win 7 bootcamp

I just installed Bootcamp and Windows 7 64bit Enterprise on my 27" iMac. The wireless keyboard works and the magic mouse is displayed in the list of devices but doesn't work. I have tried installing the drivers from the disc that came with my iMac but it gave me an error. Any suggestions?

I figured it out. I removed the device and then did a scan for new bluetooth devices. The mouse was detected and installed. After I restarted the computer the mouse started working.

  • Why does Magic Mouse sleep in Bootcamp?

After several seconds it will act as if it has gone to sleep.  A left click wakes it back up but it's such a nuisance that I may have to go back to my previous wired Apple mouse.

I could not get Bluetooth to connect correctly by letting Windows do the pairing automatically but had to assign four zeros as my code.  I've had to do that on otter stubborn Bluetooth and Windows connections.  Four zeros is a common set to get it done.
This report is on a Windows 7 Professional BootCamp.  When I go back and forth between partitions both the Mac and Windows recognize the Magic Mouse.  However the sleep condition on the Windows partition is driving me crazy.  I may have to give it up ad go back to my past mouse.  It kills productivity having to fight it every time you stop mouse activity for just a few seconds then have the left click to wake the mouse.  gggrrrr
