Magic Wand selects the whole picture

Hey, i tried using the Magic Wand Tool to select an area before and it works. But yesterday idk what happened and whenever i used magic want tool to select a specific area it keeps selecting the whole picture. How do i get this fixed? Please reply asap. Thanks!

I would try looking at Charles' suggestions. It is most likely that you have an empty or solid layer selected, which would select everything for you:
Or that you have a sample size that is too large, make sure you have it set to a small enough point sample. One is recommended.

Quick answer: Select all the tracks on the album, File > get info, and either give them all a single "album artist", or check the "compilation" flag (as in https://discussions.apple.com/message/17670085).
If these are from multiple-CD sets you may also need to enter the appropriate information in the disc number fields. If they are not a multiple CD set you still need to make sure the disc number fields are set correctly or all empty.

1. Open the image file
2. Select Crop Tool
3. Click once in the picture to activate the crop tool (without dragging) <-- Once in awhile, I accidentally click and drag to activate, and the whole image turns gray, and I must hit undo.

Magic wand selection shape from one layer, drop to sub layer and copy that shape from that layer.

In PS i can Magic wand selection shape from one layer, drop to sub layer and copy that selected shape from that sub layer. How do I do this in illistrator, and moreover, from multiple layer at the same time.
For instance, in PS = Import an image of gold - select a text phrse with wand - drop to gold - copy paste = gold text.
How is this done in illustrator?

Basicly I want to do what takes me 10 minutes to do in PS in Illistrator. LOL! I realize I must learn Illistrator; especially for logo design.
I want to select my objects in Illistrator and drop to another layer and copy that layer but with only the selection to create another new layer with that which I

Trying to see the whole picture

On my movies and home movies, I am trying to see the whole picture on my plasma TV. The setting on the tv will not let me get rid of the black parts. And I don't think the settings on the apple tv does not let me get rid of it either.
Can somebody help me out? I hope I gave enough information.

the appletv will display the content in the correct aspect ratio, therefore depending on the content you will get black bars.
for 4:3 content you will get black bars left and right (when viewing on a widescreen TV).
for widescreen content (for which there are many different aspect ratios), you will get black bars top and bottom (unless the content is the same ratio as your TV).
by displaying the black bars, the appletv (and your TV) is displaying everything correctly.

Unable to just "select" the whole clip.

Every time I click on a clip in the Event Library the default range selection appears on the clip. As a result I am unable to just "select" the whole clip. The "Select" tool has been selected from the Dashboard. How do I get back to being able to just select the whole clip?

I have a picture that I like but in ios 7 it keeps cutting the picture I don't like this new feature I want it the whole picture again

There's a glitch with the wallpaper scaling. It seems to have an issue with any black space and zooms the pic in to fill the whole screen, so your pic can be cut off by quite a bit.
If you go in through the photos app and send the images to be wallpaper from there you do have a bit more control over the scaling.

Select the whole field (of a JTexField) in a JTable's cell

I succeed to select the whole field of a JTextfield contained in the cell of a JTable, adding a FocusListener. It works with the mouse selection.
Unfortunately this process isn�t efficient while moving from a cell to another with the TAB key.
Does someone know a solution (ActionMap ?) ?

After selecting File > Print, a pop-up window should appear. Select "Customize" and this should take you back into a panel within iPhoto. Towards the bottom, you should see an option for "Layout". Select this option and choose the correct photo orientation.

Clipping paths from magic wand selection

I've been looking through dozens of tutorials but even the one's that mention this they all assume you know how to do it. All I would like to do is turn a selection made using either the magic wand tool or the other selection tools/methods and turn that into a clipping path.
This is the selection i've made with the magic wand tool:

Also is their any way to turn a whole layers contents into clipping paths? For example I have that image on it's own layer with no background, could I turn everything on that layer into a clipping path?
Clipping paths for this kind of thing as far as i'm aware is the only way to import images into quarkxpress with no backgrounds.

Hey Sam, if I'm not mistaken you simply have to make your selection, then select make "work path" from the Path window, next you save the path and then select "clipping path" from the Path window and select the saved path's name.
I would think this would work with layer selections as well.
