Magical reappearing folder. How do I delete it forever?

Hi,
So I've got a folder on my hard drive, in my work in progress folder. I finished that bit of work, deleted the folder and its contents, just as I normally do. But then it came back. with just one empty folder inside. And it keeps coming back, every time I restart. Some of the content was created by Capture One - don't know if that's what's causing it.
Any ideas?

The outer folder I created. The one inside which I think is the culprit was created by Phase One Capture One Pro, a raw image processing application, which creates its own folders for each session. It's never done that before or since though.

Right Click or Control Click FaceTime Icon in Dock > Select Options > Make sure Open at Login is unchecked
You can also do this by removing FaceTime from "Login Items" found in:
System Preferences > Users & Groups > Your User > Login Items ( Tab ) > Highlight FaceTime then tap minus.
Right Click or Control Click FaceTime Icon in Dock > Select Options > Remove from Dock
Or you can Remove the icon from dock by dragging it off.
Note if FaceTime is Running it will show in the Dock, even if you choose Remove from Dock.
If this is the case the only way to remove it is to quit the app.

Do you want to delete it from the iPod touch or from iTunes?
Select it under Music and press Delete.
Or select it in a playlist and Shift Delete to remove it from the playlist and from the library.
If you are Manually managing, deleting from iTunes will not delete from the iPod touch.

You can't. Purchased content is tied to your ID forever. But, you can hide the apps and they will not be able to download them again. You have to do this on a computer. You may have to sign out of the App Store on the iPad and then sign in again, before the apps finally disappear.

I did this with about 100 songs, and the problem is everytime I connect my iphone with itunes, It will automatically sync back every single song I did delete on the phone by swiping.
I did search on google and found out that serveral people has this problem. The songs wont delete from itunes library.
So why do they even make this function if it only deletes the songs for a short time?

Once an item enters the download queue, the user cannot remove it. Either let it complete the download (easiest) or contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the Contact page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and ask them if they'll remove the item(s) from your queue for you.

I'd suggest removing the unwanted items directly from your Applicaitons folder. In order to do this, you'll need to highlight the desired applicaiton, then use File -> Move to Trash (or CMD + Delete on your keyboard).
If they're still showing up in Launchpad, or if they don't exist in the Applications folder, use the following command in Terminal to remove your existing Launchpad databases (as they may be damaged and not updating correctly) and restart Launchpad (which will create fresh databases):
rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db ; killall Dock

NEVER empty the Trash in the shell (Terminal.) NEVER put anything in the Trash unless you intend to delete it immediately. If you do put something in the Trash and change your mind about deleting it, move it out or use the Put Back contextual menu item. Then empty the remaining items in the Trash as usual.

Correct. There is only one photo and it is in the camera roll. The folders you create are just a way to organize the pics. it does not create a duplicate pic.
Just as a song is in your library and a playlist, a pic is in the camera roll and the folder.
If you delete a song from the library, then it is gone. The same is true of pics.

if you hid the menu bar and the navigation bar simply press the alt button, this will bring back the menu bar and form there you can right click and select which bars you want shown

I tried to use the attached command through TERMINAL :
sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db "DELETE from apps WHERE title='Help';" && killall Dock
sqlite3: Error: too many options: "DELETE from apps WHERE title='Help';"
Use -help for a list of options.
But i didn't work as I got the above error message.

I'm in the same boat as you -- except that I manage both a school lab (volunteer job) and macs in the enterprise (pay job). What I think we need is the Education Volume Purchasing Program

Unfortunately this all seems a little rough around the edges -- for example, I have found updates for AppStore apps on the support.apple.com updates download site, but then when I install them via ARD they don't actually update the software. (The AppStore icons still show as needing the updates, and the version info reports the old version.) The documentation is also vague about which AppleID to use in which circumstance. I think they just haven't finished thinking through the implications of the various procedures and policies upon the various kinds of customers. When we deployed Mountain Lion on the school lab, we made an install usb and went around and installed it on each computer -- and it appears that you are on the honor system as far as paying for all of the licenses that you install. We did! But they appear to have no way to enforce it.
So far, I have only deployed 9 Lion macs in my day job, and our "solution" to the AppStore showing updates problem has been to drag the AppStore icon off of the users' docks so they don't see them!
