Magnifying glass from ****

Please, anybody--- how do I deactivate the magnifying glass that somehow keeps popping up in my browser with FCP 6 , thus preventing me from doing any editing? And what the **** am I hitting that activates it?

The Z key activates it. Press A to deactivate it. And then look into getting FCP keyboard covers or keyboard. So that you know what button does what.

I have a 1st generation ipod, which I love. When I plug it into my computer an image of a disk with a magnifying glass appears (disk scan).  When it finishes the scan it always checks out. I then restart it and all looks fine. Each time I plug it in to the computer it does the same thing and it wont show up on my computer. The other strange thing is all of the songs are gone from the ipod but the disk space is still being used. When the ipod is not plugged into the computer everything look fine even the correct date shows up. Any ideas????? Thanks

    try reinstalling iTunes.

Choose either one of these, and drag it into the top of your toolbar:  See the search windows in both of these?

  • How do I change the size of the tools and the text for the menus in Photoshop?  I need a magnifying glass in order to make out what they are.

How do I change the size of the tools and the text for the menus in Photoshop?  I need a magnifying glass in order to make out what they are.

Okay, I've figured it out, so I'm going to answer my own question in hopes that it may help anyone else that would like to actually be able to see what they're doing when using Photoshop CC 2014 on a high resolution screen.
    1.  Open Photoshop.
    2.  Select Preferences from the Edit Menu, then select General.
    3.  Change the HUD Color Picker to Hue Strip (Medium).
    4.  Select Interface from the Preferences menu on the left side of the dialog box.
    5.  Change the UI Font Size to Large in the Text area of the Preferences dialog box.
    6.  Select Experimental Features from the Preferences menu on the left side of the dialog box.
    7.  Select Scale UI 200% for high-density displays (Windows only).
    8.  Click on OK, then Exit/Quit Photoshop.
    9.  Open Photoshop and everything should be readable.

  • How to make a magnifying glass link to a look up table ?

    Dear Friends,
Hello. I am developing the accounting application of journal entry. In journal line, I use the image "magnifying glass" next to each chart field. When we click on the magnifying glass, it's supposed to come up a look up table( a chart and name mapping table), and we select the proper chart to input into the chart field.
I understand to create another record and page for the look up table. But I don't understand how to make a magnifying glass link to a look up table. Can anybody tell me how to do that ? Thanks.
    Lucy

    This is how it works,
Table A (which stores chart fields). You have used fields from table A on a page so that users can input data.
You don't need to put a magnifying glass image or create a new page to achieve look up page.
all you need to do is create another table say Table B which should have the chart field and corresponding description you want to show on lookup page. Then open record-field property of the chart field on Table A and mention Table B as prompt table.

  • Can't delete history when using magnifying glass icon on home screen. Anyone know how to? Thanks.

If I click on the magnifying glass icon to do a search for something - the icon of the place I searched stays in the window and I can't seem to delete it.  Does anyone know how to delete that history? I can delete my browser history by clicking on the little box in the lower left hand corner of that screen, then clicking on history then selecting and clicking "Clear History." That option is not available when you use the magnifying glass icon.  Help! Thanks.

When using "SearcH" (the magnifying glass), you can cler your your search history.  Swipe down from the top of the screen, tap "Settings", then "Delete Search History".  I think this is what you're looking for.

  • Color picker missing magnifying glass

My system color picker is missing the magnifying glass to select any color from anywhere on the screen. It is missing in all applications. How do i get that to show up?

Not sure why they changed this in Yosemite!  But here's how you can use the eyedropper to pickup a color:
    1) Click on the eyedropper  (on left bottom of palette dialog) - it will turn blue
    2) Drag and drop the color chip to the left of the eye dropper to an area of the screen where you want to pick up a color
    3) You should now see the magnified color picker and this will allow you to pick up a color

    HI ..
    Open a Finder window.
Select your user account on the left in the Sidebar. It has a small house icon.
Now open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.

  • Creating a Magnifying Glass graphic

    Hello Everyone,
Anyone know how I could create a magnifying glass graphic using Adobe Photoshop?
I did do a search but it mostly came up with instructions or info on how to create one that'll also actually have a "magnifying" or "glassy" look to it.
While just I want to create a simple one, just containing a circle and an handle attached to it.
    Kinda like the following:
    http://www.iconfinder.com/icondetails/42437/32/alt_glass_magnifying_icon
And in case you're wondering why I don't use the above, I'd like to create one with my own colors.
I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

The advice given above is great, but I'd like to toss out another idea:  Search the web for stuff like:
    magnifying glass Photoshop file
You turn up some very nice free PSD file downloads that you can open and see how the designers did their stuff.  The first match with the above search in Google nets you a very nice example from psdgraphics.com.

I'll second that. It always amazes me what you can find if you look. There must be a brush set for every contingency, for instance, and almost as many Shapes. I bet there is even a font out there that incudes a magnifying glass!

  • Magnifying glass search field versus initial characters scroll.

I don't want to use the "magnifying glass" search field in iTunes window. I prefer to type the first few characters and iTunes scrolls there. With most recent update, I can no longer do this. Any advice on disabling the magnifying glass? (Previously, you just had to mouse click outside of the magnifying glass search box anywhere in iTunes to disable. This no longer works for me.)

There is a wide range of Android devices out there and we simply can't test each and every model. To make things worse even devices sold under the same name worldwide might differ internally in both hard- and software. You can help us reproducing your issues by supplying as detailed information about your setup as possible.
Here's a short list of items that could really assist the team troubleshoot issues:
    Device Maker
    Device Name
Device Model (You can get this from Native menu - Settings - About phone - Model number)
Android OS version (Please specify whether this is stock Android or a custom ROM [such as a CyanogenMod build])
    Network (mobile carrier or wifi)
    Skype client version installed
    Example:
    Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7510) w/ stock Android 4.4 & WiFi (home/office network), Skype v5.0.0.108
Your message (which you create by clicking the new_message.png button on the Android board) should include this:
    1. Brief description of bad behavior.
    2. Steps to repeat bad behavior.
    3. Frequency of triggering bad behavior (ie, 1/5 tries vs 3/5 tries vs 5/5 tries)
If we can get this data from you on your first post of distress, we may be able to greatly reduce lag time in repeating the bad behavior in-house, and may get a fix that much more quickly.

  • When I use the magnifying glass to correct a typo when messaging, my iPhone 5 freezes up. How can I stop this?

As the title states, whenever is go to correct a typo in my messages using the magnifying glass my phone freezes up temporarily. It takes about 30 sec before its back to normal. It only happens when I'm in the messaging app and I don't know why it started doing it all of a sudden. I have had it for about a 15 months now. Any help would be great

Double tap Home button and delete Messages app from multitask-list.
Do the reset keyboard again as stated above.
and finally do iPhone Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data

  • Mouse pointer disappears after using the magnifying glass in the color picker

    Hello,
I've a problem (one more) with Lion on a Mac mini 2010. Every time I select a color from the screen using the magnifying glass in the color picker, the mouse pointer disappears. I've to move the mouse to the top of the screen and try to click the bar menu. If I succeed, I get the pointer back.
    Someone with the same problem?
    Thanks for reading

I've found a partial solution: The probem doesn't affect to a new fresh user, so you can backup your data, create a new temporary (admin) user, delete the original account and create it again with the same name (to avoid file permission troubles). Remember to backup your data or it will be lost.

  • Bridge's magnifying glass

How can I rid myself of it? When I have pictures on right-hand side of the screen and click on a picture in the "large" area, I get a magnifying glass.
I can find no preference to rid myself of this.
    Can anyone offer help?
    Suzie

It's called the Loupe, and the "large area" is called the Preview panel.  Read the manual (User Guide) and the Help files.
    What version?
In Bridge 3.x (that comes with Photoshop CS4) you can set your preferences so the Loupe only shows up when you Command-Click on the preview.
In prior versions, you're stuck with it unless you refrain from clicking on the preview.

  • Magnifying glass iOs8

    Hello,
I upgraded to iOs8 and everything was going smooth at first but then I got that weird problem with the magnifying glass that pops up when you hold your finger over text that you've typed and want to use that magnifying glass to zoom in. I hold my finger, the thing appears for less than a second and disappears though the cursor does move in between the letters. I tried to restart my phone 3 times and it did fix the problem but for about 10 mins, then it got back.
What will you suggest I do to get rid of that unpleasant situation?
    Thank you for your help!

If you mean that the Zoom tool was removed from the application bar then yes, that was intentional, they needed to make some extra room for the workspace switcher. Anyway, why bother to select the zoom tool? Ctrl+Space and the new scrubby zoom is much faster
