Magnifying glass tool? where is it?

When I start up my Mac Pro with lion 10.74 OS, a rectangular magnufying glass appears, how can I get brid of this magnyfying glass?

I found it under 'Quick Fixes'. I was looking for it under 'Adjust' because I was assuming that it was a more complicated operation than just a 'quick fix'.

My Father-in-law used my computer yesterday and now when I open Safari it no longer shows the magnifying glass/browser. I have tried to restore from backup and reinstalling but these do not work. It seems as though he did something to turn disable it. I know I know "ours is not to reason why.." But how do I get it back? Thanks.

Magnifying Glass tool in Muse site

Hi!
Does anyone know a way to add a magnifying tool to a website made in Muse?
I used Muse to make a site for a visual artist, and it would be awesome if a viewer
could grab a magnifying tool to see the details of the artwork (figurative sculpture)?
Any ideas?

Muse Crashes when I try to use the magnifying glass tool

Im using Muse 4.1 Build 8 and when I am in Design mode and try to zoom in to get the location of an element exactly aligned, muse freezes and I have to force quit to exit. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to zoom in without getting this problem?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know it is frustrating when you cannot use the Messages application as you would expect. The first thing I would suggest would be to open the multitasking screen and quit the Messages app. After It quits, relaunch it fresh and test. If the Messages application is still having the same performance issues, try restarting the iPhone. Those steps and others can be found in the following article.

Magnifying glass zoom tool

Hi, Some of the new features in Edge Animate CC 2014 are welcome additions, particularly the scroll and zoom tools, but unfortunately the magnifying glass tool only seems to zoom in but not out. Select magnifying glass and click to zoom in, select magnifying glass and hold down alt key, still zooms in. Any chance of a fix?

Hi Phildsb, This does work fine on my Mac and Windows systems. You can also use Ctrl+(or -) or Ctrl+scroll options to zoom in and out.
Can you tel me which OS you are using? Also can you check if you have some keyboard shortcut already set that conflicts with this.

Changing cursor color? magnifying glass?

Anyone recommend a 3rd party set of cursors to use in Logic?
I'd love to have a bright red cursor that I could easily see.
Also, I'd love a magnifying glass tool. Some of Logic's text is just too small to see at the resolution where I'm basically happy with 95% of it.

Magnifying Glass (How do I undo it?)

Hi, Logic has been gr8 so far! I used the magnifying glass to zoom in on a region, but now I don't know how to undo the magnifying glass? How do I get back to a normal sized screen?

Easy. Select the magnify glass tool, and hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard and just click until it gets back to the size you want.

LR4 White balance tool changes to magnifying glass

I just upgrade to LR 4. However in the develop module, whenever I choose my white balance tool and then hover over the image it changes to the magnifying glass. If I click, all it does is zoom in and out. The circle where the WB tool lives, is blank like it usually is when the tool is selected.
I've checked for stuck keys and still have same result.

hmm.. I posted on here. Left LR open and did some other stuff for a while. Came back to color correct WB tool-less and vola all of a sudden it's working. we'll see for how long

Okay, I've figured it out, so I'm going to answer my own question in hopes that it may help anyone else that would like to actually be able to see what they're doing when using Photoshop CC 2014 on a high resolution screen.
1. Open Photoshop.
2. Select Preferences from the Edit Menu, then select General.
3. Change the HUD Color Picker to Hue Strip (Medium).
4. Select Interface from the Preferences menu on the left side of the dialog box.
5. Change the UI Font Size to Large in the Text area of the Preferences dialog box.
6. Select Experimental Features from the Preferences menu on the left side of the dialog box.
7. Select Scale UI 200% for high-density displays (Windows only).
8. Click on OK, then Exit/Quit Photoshop.
9. Open Photoshop and everything should be readable.

Open a Finder window.
Select your user account on the left in the Sidebar. It has a small house icon.
Now open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.

Try a reboot press & hold power button & menu until Apple Logo comes on then wait
you will not lose any data.
That may fix your problem.

Every time I click and watch a tutorial on Apple's website, a magnifying glass pops up and highlights buttons or key areas that the speaker is referring to. How and where is that tool created and used?

Ok, back to your question. I was on iLife 08, looking over a tutorial for iDVD 08. In the section on working with menus, the video shows you the new animated templates Apple has provided for you. During the video, the speaker emphasizes areas such as a button or menu option using a magnifying glass. It zooms in and zooms out very nicely. I know you can do that in After Effects, but was wondering if its built into OS X?

How can I get the magnifying glass in Preview to work?

I have the problem that the magnifying glass in Preview is simply a grey circle. It's not magnifying anything. Does anyone of you know where the problem is? How can I get it to work? Deleting the .plist files in the Prefs didn't do the trick. Thank you very much.

I don't believe there is such a thing on the Mac Pro (trash can), but I did finally get something to work with a not-very-instinctive combination of System Preferences (select USB mic), Audio MiDi Setup (select USB mic), and Premier Pro Preferences, Audio Hardware (DO NOT select the USB mic, but rather the System Default Input/Output). No other combination worked (I tried them all), and when I tried changing Audio MiDi settings while Premier Pro was running, I'd occasionally get the endless spinning wheel that required a re-start. Even with all this, one channel was peaked-out with noise (source?) which I couldn't eliminate with any settings (can do it in post, however). Overall a disappointing experience. I don't know why the Audio MiDi Setup has to be involved, or why this was so difficult with my set-up (I'm not ruling out user error).
Any further advice is more than welcome,

Help please........I accidently hit a couple of keys together and got the magnifying glass with a + sign in it. Everything is way to big and pixelly. How do I get back to regular view?

Press the A to return to the selection tool. Press Shift-Z in the canvas or viewer to fit to window.
