Magnifying Tool in Bridge

How do you use the magnifying tool in Bridge please? I want to set it so that I can just hover my mouse over part of an image to see it at 100% in order to decide which image in a a batch to process. Thanks for helping.

What version of Bridge, and of the OS?

A lot more information about your hardware and software is needed.
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CC", but something like CC2014.v.2.2) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too,
    etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster, who is not a Windows user).

  • How do I get back PHOTOSHOP TOOLS in Bridge CS5.1?

I used the PHOTOSHOP option under TOOLS in Bridge CS5 all the time.  I upgraded my InDesign to CS5.5 and with it I was automatically upgraded to Bridge CS5.1 but now ther is no longer a PHOTOSHOP option under TOOLS.  When I try to open the older Bridge CS5, it automatically opens CS5.1.  How can I get back the PHOTOSHOP option under TOOLS in Bridge CS5.1?
Thanks for any information you might provide.

How can I get back the PHOTOSHOP option under TOOLS in Bridge CS5.1?
It seems related to the different versions and their start up scripts. First check Bridge Preferences Start Up Scripts has a PS script showing and see if the checkmark in front is checked. If not you have to copy the old script in the new location. Not sure if this works and without knowing if you have a Mac or Windows. For a Mac there is library at root level (so not in the user account).
Here is the path: HD/Library/ Application Support/ Adobe / Start Up scripts. You probably have two folders, one called CS5 and one called CS5.5. Try to copy (copy, not move) the Photoshop script to the CS5.5 folder and try if that works. Theoretically Bridge 4.1 (that comes with CS5.5 - yes it is a bit confusing) should recognize the scripts. And basically Bridge 4 (CS5) and Bridge 4.1 (CS5.5) are the same. But If you set Bridge 4.0 it will probably not recognize the new InDesign start up scripts.

  • Problem using magnifying tool

Since a few days back the usage of the magnifying tool has changed, don't know what I've done and can't fix it.
Previously the magnifying glass enlarged and reduced the image while I moved the mouse ponter, its was flowing with my movement. But now it just works as in previous versions, I have to click for zoom in/out. Not just click drag, now its "click, click, click, click, click, click".
    Help appreciated.

Most likely you have turned off "Scrubby Zoom", just check the box in the Zoom tool settings. All tools remeber their settings, if you wish to reset a tool to it's default settings, right-click on the Zoom tool (in this case) to the left on the tool settings bar and select "Reset Tool" or "Reset All Tools"...

  • Keyboard shortcut for magnifier tool doesn't always work

    Hi!
I have some problems with the opening the magnifier tool via assigned keyboard shortcuts. I assigned opt+z as shortcut for the magnifier tool, and it sometimes work but often don't, and I have no idea why. It always works when opening the tool from the menu. I also tried to assign it to opt+x (which I have used for the "highlight text" in the same program, which always worked), but with the same results.
I have also found that if I press the shortcut for close magnifier (even if I have closed it already) and then press the shortcut for opening it will open. In a similar fashion, the shortcut for closing the magnifier (when it's open) won't work until I have pressed the "open magnifier"-shortcut first (which shouldn't do any difference.) This could either be a strange bug, or something is happening that I'm not aware of.
Help much appreciated (need to read and highlight pdf:s efficiently for university)!

This has never happened to me for Chinese.
I wonder what application you're using when this happens? Or does it happen in any application?
It's possible for an application to have a setting that matches the input language to the font. So I can guess that maybe what is happening is that your cursor is in Korean somehow when you want to switch so that the app wants you to input Korean even though you've switched.
I suppose what I'm suggesting is that if it is happening in one application, there might be an application-related reason.

  • Looking for the InDesign tools in Bridge from Previous versions of CS (3?)

Previous Versions of CS (3 I Believe) had a tool in Bridge where you could create a InDesign Page or Book from The Tools menu.
This was similar to the Contact sheet option for Photoshop but created a book instead of individual pages.
Whould  anyone know how to do this with CS6 or are there any 3rd party options to do this?
    Thanks!

I hit the magnifier tool on my iPad and now it only shows a portion of the screen and I cannot get out of it. What do I do?

Which magnifier tool are you referring to? If you double-tap with 3 fingers it should disable zoom. Then you can go into Setttings>Accessibility>Zoom and turn it off.

  • Problem with opening "Photoshop tools" in Bridge

hello, when I use Bridge and I tried to use the photoshop's tools after selecting an image, photoshop doesn't open. could it be a problem of permissions? I use windows 7.

If both Bridge and Photoshop scripts are checked, and computer rebooted since selections were made, then perhaps you need to reset preferences for Bridge.  Hold down the crtl key and start bridge.  You should get a reset window with 3 options.
By a tool I am assuming something like Image Processor.  Sorry if I ask stupid questions, but believe me many times concepts get lost in translation to the screen.

  • Missing Tools in Bridge CS4

Can anyone tell me why I don't have the Photoshop or Illustrator tools in my Bridge Tools menu?  The last command listed is Cache. No Photoshop > Batch... ; Image Processor... ; etc.  What did I fail to install or ...?  Thanks for your help.

If you had a default installation for the CS4 suite meaning in the root
application folder on your computer and not in the user level it should be
    there.
First check in Bridge the Preferences and go to the section start up
scripts. See if PS and Illustrator are listed and checked. If so restart
Bridge holding down option key and refresh preferences. Try again.
What did I fail to install or ...?  Thanks for your help.

  • No more Photoshop tools in Bridge?

I normally use Bridge in combination with PShop to browse my RAW files then select and use the 'Merge to HDR Pro' script from the tools menu (in Bridge) This feature seems to have disappeared in CC 2014 and been replaced with an Automate script which is rather hard to use considering I am working with thousands of images. Is there a better way to do this?

This feature seems to have disappeared in CC 2014 and been replaced with an Automate script
Can you explain more and provide more details?
Bridge is still at version CC but the update from 6.0.1 to 6.1.0.155 works together with PS CC 2014. And on my system (MacOS 10.8.5) I still have the option for merge to HDR Pro in my tools menu. I prefer to produce my HDR in Photomatix Pro because I personally believe Adobe HDR sucks compared to Photomatix but that is personal.
If you are referring to the Automate script called Auto Stack Panorama-HDR under the stacks menu then again on my system it always causes a crash and never has worked properly

  • Why my tools in Bridge CS5 don't have Photoshop option

I was following a Bridge CS5 tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8C3AwQTBAA&feature=ytfce) and when I clicked the "Tools" tab to choose "Photoshop" and then "Load Files into Photoshop Layers" I was surprised for not having the "Photoshop" option in the "Tools" tab.
    How can I fix it?
    Thanks.

Two things to check.  Do you have CS5 or CS5.1?  There seems to be some difference in the programs.
Then open edit/preferences/scripts, you should have a check mark for at least Bridge and Photoshop.

is there an official cisco tool that measures the true bandwidth of the bridge wlan? say, two 1300. client is a bit meticulous

Not to the best of my knowledge. Download iPerf, which is a free tool (Google it) and set it up on a PC at either end of the link.
Stop all other traffic from traversing the link, and run your test. Absolute maximum will be about 18Mbps.
