Mail 2.1 CTL-Click

Question

Since upgrading recently to OSX 10.4.7 and Mail 2.1 any time I use CTL-Click (or Right-Click as programmed on my Mouse) the Mail program hangs in a beach ball state and Force Quit shows the application as Not Responding. The only way out is to Force Quit. This is consistent and painful since I was in the habit of using CTL-Click to do Spell Check and the habit is hard to break, especially when it effects only this one application.

Repair Permissions is a function offered in Disk Utility -- an application found in the Utilities folder, in the Applications folder -- see:

It is often recommended by many experienced users to Repair Permissions before and after every update, or installation of new software. I tend to only run after. Some argue it is not needed, but the truth is, that is only needed, when it is needed.
I don't know if this will resolve, or if we have to look for some preference file, or cache in your normal User folder to purge. Try Repair Permission, first, and I will do some research.
