is there no toolbar at all in the reply window? if so just click on the little oval in the upper right corner of the reply window. if the toolbar is there but the send button is missing, control-click on the toolbar and select "customize toolbar...". drag the "send" button from the resulting pulldown to the toolbar and click "done".

Mail Reply has no SEND button.
Several month ago the Reply function in Mail stopped providing a window with the SEND button in the top border. New work as it should. So the only way to Reply to another email was to close the response and select Save into drafts. Then go to drafts and open the saved file. This time when the message came up it displayed a SEND button in the top border. Clicking on this button would send the message. I've done a couple of minor OS updates since this behavior first appeared but the defect has remained. Does anyone know what is happening and how it can be resolved?

IPhone Mail app send button greyed out
I have a new iPhone 6 plus with a single IMAP mail account. I can receive mail and reply to mail that's been sent to me but when I start a new mail item the send button is greyed out.
My mail server settings are correct and I've tried reentering the SMTP details, resetting the network settings and restarting the phone. I've tried sending to different addresses and always include a subject and text in the body but the send option never becomes available.Open Mail Preferences/Accounts/Account information. In the box for the Outgoing Server, I suspect None is selected? Make a selection of the correct SMTP, and that should resolve.

Mail wont let me click 'send' button
I have a problem and then some questions about my mail app.
Below is a screenshot of my problems, the main problem is it wont let me click the 'send' button.
The other problem is there is that triangly line symbol new to my windows live account and it always makes me put my password in.. I never had this mail send problem until a month ago and i've been too frustrated to brother to fix it until now.
Help?

"Send" button not working in Mail
Picked up Leopard on an iMac two days ago. Some of the time when I compose a new email, Mail works fine--I click "send" once I'm through typing and out it goes.
Other times--like this morning--I try to send an email and the "send" button is transparent and does not click. This is not a server issue. I tried adding the recipients to my address book in case there was some weird thing where that had to be done first. But to no avail--the "send" button won't click, nor will the "send" command within the toolbar or drop-down menus--and so I have no clue how I'm supposed to send this email if the button to do it is not working. Help!Unfortunately, the SMTP and outgoing mail settings aren't the issue. The issue is that the "send" button is visible but un-clickable. I tested sending mail from all of my accounts and it works just fine--sometimes. Other times, I try to reply to an email or send out a new one and the "send" button does not allow me to send anything at all.

On a new mail message in Yosemite there is no Send button or icon. Only a grayed out word that says "send. I can receive mail but not send because nothing at top of email allows sending. Please help. This is true of two .me accounts I have.

It may pay to send a Screen Shot of the Connection Doctor info. (see the Window Menu)
It would seem the IMAP or POP side is logged in bit the out going STMP server is not.

I've lost the "Send" button in my reply window. When I double click on a Mail message, on order to reply, the "Send" button at the top of the window is missing. I can reply by closing and saving my reply, and re-openning from Drafts. How to fix?

If nothing is showing in the Toolbar at top, click the little gray oval at top right.
Right click or Control+click on the Toolbar, choose Customize Toolbar, drag the Send button to the Toolbar. -
The "send" button in the mail programm is gone ... how can I make it visible again?
For a couple of days my "send" button in the mail programm is gone and I can´t send emails due to this failure. I am pretty sure my 2-year old daughter hit some button by accident and the "send" button is gone since then. She discovered a couple of features by accident I would have never dreamed of so far so I believe the hidden button is also possible to get back. Please help since I couldn´t find something so far.

Hi there, does anyone know how to recover a newly created e-mail message that was possibly deleted instead of sent. I think my I may have hit the delete button instead of the send button? I have searched all my e-mail folders: draft, trash, sent etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes with an Exchange or IMAP account, which are designed for this very thing.
All server stored mailboxes with an Exchange or IMAP account are synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account.
This is not possible with an antiquated POP account which was designed to be accessed with a single email client only - developed when the overwhelming majority of computer users had one computer - a desktop, and before notebooks were commonplace. -
Long delay between send button and actual send in mail
When sending messages in mail, there is a long delay between the time I hit the send button and the actual sending begins. Message and attachment size have no bearing. The delay is usually about 30 seconds, but sometimes longer.
There was info in the detail window when I opened it. Also, it was not immediately connecting to the server, but when I clicked back on the regular mail window to send a test message, the server connected instantly. Below is all that was in the details window:

If you've already done this then sorry for asking, but did you go through the Acrobat Distribution (Forms>Distribute Forms)process after creating the form in LC8? As far as I can tell the email submit button doesn't work without this stage.
This confirms the email submission address, then sets up a dataset to be saved in a location of your choice.
filename_dataset_0001.pdf
then a file type that can be edited, saved and submitted by Reader users:
filename_pub_0001.pdf
You can save this to your intranet server or email direct to the recipient.
When the submit button is then used you receive a copy of the whole form which on opening will prompt you to add it to the dataset. Receiving and adding multiple forms to the data set is straightforward. You will see them all listed in the viewer above the form itself. From here you can also then select and export the data to Excel via xml or as a csv file.
Note that any changes you make to the form should be to the original document and the distribution process repeated, otherwise the functionality of the form will be affected.
That's about the limit of my knowledge I'm afraid, therefore if you have already tried this and are still having problems then hopefully someone else can help out.

My Send Button is gone on Mac Mail
There's no send button in the upper left hand corner when I try to send an email. I've
never had this happen before. So, I can't send mail from my computer.
Anyone ever hear of this happening before? How do I fix it? Any suggestions would be great.

To restore the button, create a new message (command-N), then in the 'View' menu select 'Customize Toolbar'. Drag the 'Send' button in the pane which opens to the toolbar. -

AFAIK, there's no documented to insinuate a change into an outbound SMTP message (if that's what you're up to here) within Apple Mail.
Most commonly, these sorts of header adjustments arise at an intermediate mail server. Usually spam filters have something similar.
If these particular "adjustments" are possible within Mail, then it's likely via the undocumented plugins API underneath Apple Mail. And, well, that API is not documented. And the plugins API has changed at various Apple Mail updates, too; it's clearly not a stable API. -
Send button on "new" mail missing.
The SEND button on the new mail being composed has gone missing. I checked on the same MACOSX version of my Powerbook and it's still there. Anyone have any idea what's happened.

BetteThanks. My Send button is now back. It took me a while to understand what and exactly where the lozenge shaped button is, Finally found it under the upper right magnifying glass -- the oblong shaped untitled button. Duh! BTW, love the upper right magnifying glass to search my computer.

I had a difficult time getting my outgoing SMTP server for BellSouth (AT&T) set up for Mail 3.1. Has to be exactly right and ATT only has on line instructions up to 2.1. Changing outgoing server took two saves -- first time entered new server, stayed at "none" and had to go back in to select.
Off and running with my new and first mac. Yay! Though very disappointed to have to run Quicken 2008 for PC on Boot Camp given the problems with Q 2007 for mac. Pages and pages of instructions to port and still lots of warnings about possible problems with Mac version. Also off to google how to surf and download while in Boot Camp so I can download to Quicken.
