Mail 5.3 no longer embeds video files

Running Lion 10.7.5 and Mail 5.3 and Adobe Flash 11.5.502.136: mail won't embed video files – message "Blocked Plug-in."

Regarding Mac Mail "Blocked Plug-in" situation when trying to embed a video in an email message, through the Safari "Mail Page Contents" or "Email this Page" — depending on whether you're running Safari 5 or 6 — the following will work for YouTube videos only (the ones which have been formatted to support HTML5 playback, as well as Flash:
Download and install a nifty Safari Extension, "FlashtoHTML5": http://www.joris-vervuurt.com/page3/page3.php
Once installed, launch Safari and go to Preferences | Advanced | Extensions (Safari 5) or Preferences | Extensions (Safari 6) and enable FlashtoHTML5. You will then be able save the page with the video in Mac Mail, provided the particular video supports HTML5. It won't work, if you copy the YouTube embeded code and clone your own video to drag or mail the page content into your email message. The YouTube code with Flash player language, unless converted by FlashtoHTML5 to a HTML5 player version of the video, will cause Mac Mail / iCloud Mail to block the extensions plug-in.
As far as video playback on the web page goes, the HTML5 extension will automatically switch back to Flash Player, if the particular video does not support support HTML5.

    i met this error every time if i compile a "BIG " project.(with 1G+  image resources).   And also ,if you  import 500+ images into Flash CS ...you  know ,its prefix is  "Adobe".
    i guess , it's  because somebody not like "BIG " thing.
    So..on  32bit windows  platform ..i  upgrade my JVM to  1.7 ,and..modified  -XSS value . it will help us ..but not 100% resolved.
    Finally ,i upgrade to  64bit platform ..this problem seems  gone.
    I think ,it's  because of the bad RAM Manager  of  JVM. on 32bit windows machine .it's only can manager 1024M ram .(such a stupid VM).   And  on 64bit platform ..JVM seems  to be d normal.

  • Embedding video file format in Edge, auto play video

    When embedding video in Edge, does it need to be mp4 file format? And once video is embedded, how do you get it to play automatically?

    Use mp4 and ogg.
    Ogg or ogv is for Firefox
    mp4 for other browsers
    You can convert to ogg on the FF site here: Firefogg - video and audio encoding for Firefox

  • Help Exporting Embedded Video Files From Flash

    I am new to Flash and this may sound, well dumb but here it goes.  I have taken some video files from Final Cut Pro converted them to FLV's imported them and embedded them into flash to create some banners for the web.  I need to know what settings I should use to get these out of Flash for the web.
    Also I need to send them to someone to look at before publishing.  What would be the best format to do that in and how to do it.
    Also has anyone has any experience creating banners in or online ads in a Video format like FCP and embedding them into a flash file to export them in flash for we publishing.  Sorry again for the dumb question, just new to Flash.

    Is there a reason why you embedded the video in Flash rather than using the FLV player?
    Starting with the video, since you have the source you can create any type of format you need from that which can be used for preview or the final version depending on where it's  going to end up and what is required or preferred.  Flash comes into play if the requirement is to have a SWF/FLV other than some other video format, or if you have other Flash content going on at the same time besides the video.
    But using Flash for this, the most stratghtforward way is to use the FLV player included with Flash (or another 3rd party player) and point it to your FLV.

  • Embedded video file

    Hi, I've been given a PDF with a video file embedded in it. Is there anyway I can export the video file out of the PDF?
    Thanks

    The obvious question is "do you have permission?".
    Adobe software intentionally does not include the ability to extract video content from a PDF document and save it to a file - there are some third-party tools which could inspect the PDF structure, find the embedded data and save it to file, but none of them are free. It's supposed to be difficult, because many PDF document authors use the embedded rich media annotation specifically to prevent people getting their hands on the "raw" footage.

  • Embedded video files only play audio

    The newest version of Keynote (v. 4) in iWork '08 will only play the audio portion of video files I add to it. The first frame of the video shows in the navigator panel, and the files show up and are viewable in the media browser. The selection handles for the video files are visible but that's all. This version also doesn't show the video content created in previous versions of keynote. In version 3 files I'd had .avi and .mov files that worked fine. I've checked the quicktime settings in system preferences to make sure that they were set properly. Suggestions?

    After posting the original question about the newest version of Keynote (v. 4) in iWork '08 only playing the audio portion of video files I add to it, I tried every possible fix.
    Since I'd been using a newer PCI video card recently, I tried just hooking up the monitor to the AGP video card that was still installed and it solved the problem.
    If anyone is considering using Keynote v.4, make sure that you have either an AGP or PCI express slot for the graphics card you use since a regular PCI graphics card won't support video or animation files you add to Keynote.

  • Embedding Video Files in PowerPoint

    I'm having an issue with playing avi files within a PowerPoint presentation on a PC. I saved the files as .avi files, put them in a file folder, zipped it and sent it to my server. When my friend pulls it down, she can't see the videos in the presentation. If she clicks on an actual video clip, she doesn't get anything back.
    If someone knows how to do this on PC, I would love hear it.
    Thanks.

  • Premiere Elements 9 no longer supports video files from Nokia Lumia 920 (it used to do)!

    I've edited many videos from the same phone (.mp4) with the same software before (last time was 8 months ago). Now the software claims that the "file format is not supported or the required codec is not installed". How can it be? I haven't uninstalled or installed any codecs. The phone is the same. I can still open the old projects on Premiere Elements. I need to get this fixed so I can edit my videos!

    nome2014
    In the case that you are presenting, are you importing new Nokia video into a new project? You say that you can open old projects in Premiere Elements. Do the old projects contain Nokia video from the same camera? If so, open one of the old projects and try to import the new Nokia video into that old project. Imports or not?
    What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 9 running on? Are you running the program as the 9.0.1 Update? If not, please do so either
    a. from Help Menu/Update in the opened project
    or
    b. from the 9.0.1 Update downloaded from Adobe online (Premiere Elements closed during download and installation).
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4929
    I have just downloaded a sample from your Nokia Lumia 920 (1920 x 1080 @ 30 frames per second* AVCHD.mp4) and had no problems importing it into a new Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 project set with the project preset of NTSC DSLR 1080p DSLR 1080p30.
    *Potential issues....
    the Nokia video comes with a variable frame rate, in my case, 4.201 to 30.090, showing a value of 29.272. Premiere Elements (any version) is known to have issue with cell phone video recorded with a variable frame rate. The problem can manifest itself as audio out of sync or just not being able to import the video at all. Remedy...take the video into HandBrake and convert the variable to a constant frame rate.
    http://handbrake.fr/
    Do you need a step by step how to on that? If so, we can supply one.
    From what I have read, the Nokia can record with AVCHD video compression as well as MPEG-4. Both have a .mp4 file extension. Is what you used before the same video codec as you are using now? Please check the camera settings.
    Please review and consider. You can post a sample of your problem video here as a Dropbox link, and I will road test it in my Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 that is working with a sample download from your brand/model cell phone.
    We will be watching for your follow up.
    Thanks.

    Can no longer load video files into CS6 for edited I keep getting error message:
    'Could not complete your request because the DynamicLink Media Server is not available.'
    Don't know what this means. Until just now I was able to load videos without any problems. Now I'm getting this message. Any thoughts?

    Hi Mylenium,
    upfront:
    I hope I won't be marked as spam now, since I am posting on a few relevant discussions now to this topic.
    However, I really would like to ask the people who have experienced this problem to see if they were able to solve it.
    Now the real deal:
    I posted a question in this discussionDynamicLink Media Server won't let me import video for video frames to layers anymore.
    The linked discussion is a lot younger, which is why I posted there first.
    I also put in information on the steps that I have tried and my computer specifications.
    I am experiencing this problem for a while now and hope you and jones1351may be able to help out.

  • How do I create/host interactive articles with embedded video for use in browsers?

    I'm seeking a little guidance -
    How do I create/host interactive articles with embedded video for use in browsers?
    The aim is to bring together video, design, images and writing in one place. A little like Born Presents, but very accessible and user friendly.
    I'm happy using InDesign but want to create interactive articles / magazines that have embeded video files as required. I've been looking at .SWF files but I've come unstuck.
    I want people to view the articles via a blog, ideally with them opening in a lightbox style viewer. It's not intended for tablet viewing and people should be able to view and interact with the files with little effort on their part.
    I think I know how to create these files within InDesign, but I'm not so hot on web design and I'm not sure how to host these online. Does this start coming into the realms of Flash?
    If anyone could point in the right direction I'd really appreciate it - Thank you in advance.

    PDF is one thing. Folios for DPS is another. There is a little bit of
    overlap but not much.
    The interactivity in the folio overlays panel is for DPS only.

  • How to import two AVI video files & convert to one FLV ?

    Status:
    - Newbie using PC & Flash CS3 ver9l
    - I can import a single AVI video file and convert it to an FLV video.
    Problem:
    - I have two AVI video files... one 4GB (20 minute) long and one 2GB (10 minute) long... and want to combine them to have a single 30 minute long FLV video file.
    Question:
    - Can I do this in Flash? When I "convert" a single AVI video to a FLV using the File, Import method... I can't really see the video on the Flash time line. I'm a newbie so I'm probably doing something wrong.
    - I tried doing a File, Import for file-1.avi and then doing it for file-2.avi... but the two were on top of each other... and not end to end.
    Maybe some kind sould will walk me through this.
    Thanks for any help.

    Your not going to be able to combine two videos as one in flash, if your using Win try Win Movie Maker, I believe you can drag both into a WMVM timeline and can then save as one file, then you can use AVC video converter or the like to encode them into an .flv or.f4v file.

  • Play/Pause button for embedded video

    I'm working with an embedded video file and have set up some
    basic controls. The client wants the play button to be able to go
    from Play to Pause and have the button visually do this as well.
    Currently I have one Play button and one Stop button. How do I do
    this?
    Right now I have this for the play button:
    on (release) {
    _root.embeddedVideo.stopped = false;
    _root.embeddedVideo.play();
    And for the Stop button I have:
    on (release) {
    _root.embeddedVideo.stopped = true;
    _root.embeddedVideo.stop();
    Any thoughts or ideas?

    What would that look like? Right now they're loading using the following code:
    btnCashCollect_btn.onRelease = function () {
          mcLoader.loadClip("CashCollections.swf",myLoader);
          btnEndPeriod_btn.enabled = false;
          btnCashCollect_btn.enabled = false;
          btnFinancialMGMT_btn.enabled = false;
          _root.btnHome_mc._visible = false;
    So would I use something like:
    btnPause.onRelease = function() {
         myLoader.content.pause();
    Actually I just tried that and it didn't work...I need the buttons to work for multiple external swfs that will be loaded into myLoader

  • Compressing large video files to MPEG4

    I am creating long HD video files (10 hrs long) in FCP that I want to compress to MPEG4 with AAC audio. My iMac handles the files easily but the compression time in Compressor is obviously outrageous. Can anyone tell me how compression times would compare with a Mac Pro dual processor 2.66GHz Intel Xeon X5650 "Westmere" CPUs?

    FYI - My iMac is a 2.33 MHz with 2 GB Ram and 1TB HD

  • Embedded videos no longer work in iOS5

    I have a couple of videos embedded on my website.  Suddenly after updating my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5,  and on my new 4S these videos no longer play at all.  They used to play fine on the 3GS running iOS 4.  They also still play fine on an original iPhone 2G running iOS 3.1.3
    And of course they play fine in any browser on a Mac or a PC.
    The videos are here: http://www.abrasha.com/video.htm
    and here: http://www.abrasha.com/3ddesign/3dbracelets/3d%20hinged%20bracelet.htm
    Could someone please check if they play in your iPhone running iOS 5, and/or let me know if they play correctly in earlier versions of iOS.
    Does anyone know a solution for this, since obviously the videos are embedded properly because they play for me in earlier versions of the iOS.

    I had given up on this and not checked this for a long time, since I posted the original post above.  After your note I checked again, and it now seems to work just fine.
    On my old iPhone 3GS the videos play fine now under iOS 5.1.  And on my new iPhone 4S the videos also play just fine.  On the 4S I am still running iOS 5.0
    I did not make any changes to the video files in question.
