Mail account profile picture problem

I have an additional email on my apple mail for work that I need to add a profile pic to that people I send emails to will see. Any ideas on how I achieve this?

Not very important - just bugging the heck out of me! I can't add an HP profile picture under "settings/picture". I even made it a very, very small jpeg (122kb) ... any suggestions?

Is it so hard to put a folder icon there that you can direct to a folder on your system that has the images you want to use for your account picture?
I mean, the change account picture option seems to have everything else but that!
You scratch your head for an hour trying to figure out how to add your own already shot image there.
I really wonder if Apple is spending too much time in iOS and none on OS X. There's been so little improvement except for OS X copying iOS, which for me, makes no sense whatsoever, on a desktop computer controlled by a mouse and keyboard.

Yahoo mail account - pictures/images saved are distorted

When I save the pictures on my Yahoo mail account the pictures saved are very bad quality and iPhone 3G isn't able to view them properly. What's wrong???? Please help!

As it turns out, many others have been having similar issues on other browsers. It seems that maybe Yahoo! is taking a much longer time to load or something like that. Either way, its been working on and off all week, and the same issue even showed up yesterday with IE 8 instead of FF. It still loads faster than IE 8, but again is spotty. Some people think the issue may be with mail.yimg.com or s.yimg.com, which I could see was the loading url in the left corner whenever Yahoo! Mail was refusing to work. A couple of people said blocking it caused the issue. Alternatively, some people suggested blocking it to solve the problem. Does anyone have any information on that? Again, I have no add-ons that would be blocking any urls, and my firewall hasn't any records of it. I really don't want to do anything to mess up my browsers more than they may have already been. I recently noticed that when I check my Sent mail, each e-mail shows the thumbnail of my "account profile picture". Does this image appear on the email when someone else receives it? I certainly hope not because ive been sending tons of resumes and this this picture is not exactly becoming of me. If so, how to turn it off?

Problems with installing a GMX-E-Mail account on a Blackberry Q10

Hi everyone,
since days I got a problem with installing a german GMX-E-Mail account on my Blackberry Q10. If I try the "automatic" installation by just putting in my E-Mail adress and password, it says, that my E-Mail adress or password is wrong - which it clearly isnt! Bizarrely installing a different GMX-E-Mail account wasnt a problem. It was only this one special account.
Neither GMX, nor O2 (my mob provider/operator) could help me - everyone said its a problem with the other company.
Today I figured the problem out by myself and I guess its a Blackberry problem:
The password of my E-Mail account has a umlaut (means special letters, for example the a, u or o with 2 dots - ä, ü, ö, etc.) in it. Obviously you can put this umlaut in the form, but probably my Blackberry isnt able to send this umlaut to GMX correctly - since their server says the password is not correct. I changed my password. Now there is no umlaut in it anymore. Now everything works perfectly.
Just wanted to write it down here, in case someone else has this problem or Blackberry wants to fix it

Not sure if it will help, but if you just try and edit one of your current mailboxes, and change the box name and manually change all the details, that may work ?

Hello dear.
I want to suggest you to enable editing/reorder Mail accounts. The problem is that when I created cloud account and added it to mail accounts, after that i added my another outlook account. So, on the top of accounts is iCloud account, then my outlook. Agin after few days I decided to ad my main Gmail account to the list, so the list became by this way:
1. iCloud
2. Outlook
3. Gmail
by this I did not like it, and as I cannot edit this, I went to delete Outlook account so when I add it again, it will be on the last place. BUT IT DID NOT! It went again to the second place for no reason?! As I can see, all it does is it stays on the same place as I added it first time. I really want to change this so that I have:
1. iCloud
2. Gmail
3. Outlook.
Anyone else have this problem?

If you are using Apple's Mail program, post in the OS Mail forum of whichever OS is currently installed on your MBP. Your problem has nothing to do w/your MBP. It's an OS and/or email program problem.
If using a 3rd party email program, please advise which one. Thank you.

2 iPhones - 2 separate mail accounts - 1 computer (and 1 problem)

Both my wife and I have iPhones. She purchased hers recently and I have had mine for about 4 months. I am using Microsoft Outlook for my mail and set her up using Outlook Express.
My problem is that whenever I sync one phone up to iTunes and then the other phone afterwards, iTunes wants to remember the previous mail account setup. The end result is my email account will get put on her phone and vice versa. Also, each time it renames the outgoing mail server from "cwmx.com:25" (correct account) to "mail.bellsouth.net" (the latter will not work for sending mail using AT&T account).
Each time this happens, I make the appropriate email account correction for that particular iPhone in iTunes and ensure that I am "applying" the changes so that they are saved, but it doesn't seem to work. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? For the record, the other settings I choose remain ok for each phone (mail account is only problem).

Thanks very much for your help. When you say to manually set it up, are you referring setting up the incoming and outgoing mail server information? I did do that manually initially.
For the record, I really don't understand what syncing mail accounts does for me. I understand wanting to sync "contacts" (to get them on the computer and the phone), but for mail, I can send and receive fine on the iPhone. It seems that if I turn it off in iTunes as you recommend, it shouldn't affect me at all. Correct?

My Mail accounts just went offline. Help!

I use Mail, and have two accounts - one is POP and one IMAP. The one I use most is a gmail IMAP account. I've been sending and receiving e-mails all day, but suddenly both accounts are offline. Mail asks me repeatedly for the password, but when I put it in it doesn't accept it. I went online to gmail and find that the sign on and password still work and can see my mail there, but I want to get it in my computer. What can I do to fix this? And why did it happen so suddenly? I restarted my computer and that didn't help. Will appreciate advice. Thank you.

It was certainly disconcerting, however. While I had the problem, I also had the same problem in trying to use Mail on my iPad. It is also working fine now. We are using a Verizon JetPack for our wireless network, because we're in an area in Maine that doesn't have other internet possibilities. It's been working fine, but I notice it only gets a 3g network. Even so, my husband, with a Mac, using Mac Mail and with a different e-mail account, had no problem at all during the same period of time. So perhaps you're right in suggesting there was just something too slow about the connection with gmail. Thanks again. Barb

Cannot log out of my Yahoo mail account

After finishing with my Yahoo Mail account I cannot log out and return to my Home page (My Yahoo) and therefore I am unable to open other mail accounts. I have to compltely restart my computer to open another Yahoo Mail account. The problem does not apear in IE. Thanks for your help.

Account Hacking: Profile Picture Changed

Someone was able to get into my skype account and change the profile picture.
It appears the account was drained of some credits.
The account was marked as private known contacts only.
Not sure what else to do.

Although I can't say what's going on, I can say this is not the behavior of any known malware. It doesn't make much sense as malware, anyway.
More concerning is this tech company you refer to. Did you contact them initially, or did they contact you? There's a scam going around where a "tech company" will call you offering services, sometimes saying that they have detected that you are infected with malware (complete baloney), and in the process of "fixing" the problem, best case scenario they just charge you for a "service" that wasn't real and you didn't need. Worst case scenario, they use the remote access that you grant them to install malware on your machine and go nuts with the credit card you paid them with.
This is especially concerning because mythlinks.com does not go to any real site. Is it possible you mis-typed it, or is that the actual web site address you were given?

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!
