Mail Account still active

Hi All,
By mistake i have deleted an account using the iDA without deactivating the mail for that user... the user is still receiving mails to his inbox..
how can i fix that?
I need to deactivate his mail but i can't find the user anywhere since i deleted him..
Thank,
Scotty

It can be used as a login even if it doesn't actually work as an address. In order for it to work you have to have been a paying subscriber to MobileMe from when it was DotMac, kept the subscription going until 6 June 2011, and migrated your MobileMe account to iCloud before the end of August 2011.
If all those conditions are met the address ought to work, though there have been a few complaints of people having difficulty with it. If it continues not to function I can only suggest contacting Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:
http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/
You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support and you may be asked to pay a fee: you could reasonably argue that this is a problem they've caused and you shouldn't be asked to pay.

  • I remove the password generated by yahoo for my iphone and mail is still active!

I installed 'second sign-in verification' on my Yahoo! account, and then generated a password for my iPhone.
First strange thing after that is that my yahoo mail account was still working. I removed the yahoo account and re-installed it and this time I had to use the password generated by Yahoo.
Now if you loose your iPhone, Yahoo explains that you should sign on to your PC or Mac and remove this generated password so no one can access your mail on your stolen or lost iPhone ( that's  what I installed 'second sign-in verification' ). So I gave it a try, removed it from Yahoo but my Yahoo account on my iPhone is STILL ACTIVE!!! I can send and receive messages, no problem at all.
So your yahoo account is absolutely not protected. This is a major security problem. Please help.

s it possible for apple to provide me with the last coordinates that my phone was at?
    No
I didn't have find my iPhone and iCloud was not active.
Not smart.  Then all you can do is physically look for it.
is it possible to look at data such as pictures by plugging it into their computer??
    no

  • Why do inactive iOS mail accounts still receive email?

I have several email accounts that I use occasionally, but do not want them on regularly.
Deleting the accounts will stop them from receiving mail. But I don't want to set them up every time I want to check on them...
    I have turned them off: Settings > mail > account > Mail > [on/off]
Why doesn't turning them off prevent them from checking and fetching email?
What does turning them off do, if they still work exactly the same as being on?

I do not have always BCC set.
The inactive accounts do not show up in the list of mailboxes, or accounts at the bottom of the mailboxes screen in mail.
I use the "All Inboxes", because I have multiple email accounts, and the emails sent to the inactive accounts appear in that box.
Opening the header of test messages sent to an inactive account show the "To:" to be the inactive account.
I have sent test emails from my iPhone to the disabled accounts, as well as my work email, and regardless of origin all test messages sent to the inactive accounts are fetched, and displayed in the "All Inboxes".
I have reviewed the set up accounts and there are no duplicate accounts.
I have Fetch set to push.
The inactive accounts are using my personal domain, not iCloud, or any apple mail, nor gmail.
I have verified that these accounts are not using a forwarder, through gmail, or my domain.
I am going to test one of my gmail accounts to see if it can be made inactive.
---- Answer:  My domain accounts are all coming through despite being set to inactive. Gmail accounts are not. Inactivating all personal domain accounts on the phone still results in the emails coming through.
My personal email is used for my apple account.

  • Old outgoing mail account still visible?

I moved my email account from hotmail (using pop/smtp), to google apps (setup using Exchange Active Sync). On the iphone, I deleted the old mail account, and reset it up using the exchange option.
When I compose a mail message, this email account shows up twice. No matter which entry I pick, the iphone is using the old hotmail smtp instead of the new google apps setting.
In the list of email accounts, i only have the google sync account.
How can I delete/remove this old account so I can send mail???

    Quit and relaunch Mail.

  • Deleted Mail Account Still Sending Mail

    Hi Apple World,
Can anyone explain to me why an old gmail account which I used to have as an account on my Mac is still sometimes coming up as the from address when I send mail?
This has got me in some trouble as people have been "replying" and I have not received it as it goes to my gmail which I do not use. So my boss now thinks I just havent replied! I checked my sent box and sure enough it says sent from [email protected] however the only account I have are a [email protected] and my icloud account.
I have deleted the gmail account entirely from google but can anyone explain how this may have happened as I have deleted other accounts off my mail and would like to make sure I don't have to worry about them.
    Cheers,
    Linda

  • BB Acct Terminated but email account still active as rejects only - how to terminate?

I changed from BB to Apple I-Phone.  AT&T was the carrier for BB.  AT&T continues to be the carrier for my Apple.  AT&T said the emails to my [email protected] account would just stop.  When people send to my primary acct which was the same email when i had the BB - they receive a reject from the [email protected] account.  The emails to my primary acct are received.  Both AT&T and BB are clueless as to how to stop this.  I have deleted everything on my computer that has anything to do with BB.  The SIM card has been removed from the BB - the account was closed several months ago.  Suggestions?

  • Re: Email account still active after account closed

    bump

    Hi there!
There are two sets of credentials to discuss...and I can't tell for sure which you are referring to, so I'll cover both...
BIS Credentials -- BIS is the service, controlled by your carrier, that functions as the conduit between your email services (e.g., Yahoo, Gmail, etc.) and your BB. BIS has separate credentials of it's own, and stores the credentials for all of the email accounts that you configure. The ID/PWD can be whatever you want them to be.
Email Credentials -- these are your email services (e.g., Yahoo, GMail) and they each have their own credentials. These credentials are what is stored inside of your BIS account.
So, from what you said, it sounds like you changed, at your email server, your email credentials and you need to therefore change what you have stored inside of BIS, but you are unable to log into BIS to do so. Is that correct?
If so, you need to contact your carrier -- they control your BIS account, including the credentials that you created sometime in the past.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Can't add email to my mac mail account.

I recently started having problems with my mail account.  I deleted the mail folder and started over and now can no longer add any email accounts besides my icloud account.  When I try I get the following message.
Logging in to the optonline.net POP server “mail.optonline.net” failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn’t correct, you cannot receive messages.
My mail accounts still work on my ipad and iphone with the exact same information.  Something else I find strange, when I go to add a new account my old deleted account already appears in the email address section.  Why would a deleted account, presumably one it should n't know anymore come up as a suggestion without me adding it?  Does mail keep a copy of the account hidden somewhere else besides the plist and in the hidden library?
I am at wits end.  I can think of any reason that I shouldn't be able to add the email when all the information is correct.  I have also checked my computer for viruses and malware with several programs, the latest one being SOPHOS.  Any suggestions?

  • Old e-mail account keeps showing up when I reply to e-mail sent to active account

I deleted a hotmail e-mail account from my iPhone.  The reason that I deleted it was because sometimes when I replied to an e-mail sent to my aol or Time-Warner e-mail addresses (which were active on the phone), the e-mail would somehow show up to the recipient as having come from the old hotmail account.  Thus, when the other person replied, it went to the hotmail account instead of my aol or Time-Warner account.
Incredibly, even after I deleted the hotmail account from the phone, restarted it and did everything else that I could think of to be sure that it was gone, this still happens.  Here is an example:
    1.  I send an e-mail to a friend from my aol account.
    2.  The friend replies and I receive the e-mail in my aol account.
    3.  I reply back to the friend.  In the "from" box in the e-mail that my friend receives from me, it does not show the aol account, but instead the hotmail account.
    4.  When the friend replies, it goes to the hotmail account and not the account.
    5.  The only way that I become aware that the friend replied is by checking the hotmail account.
So the question is:  how do I get this to stop?

i already sign-out my account and sign in again but still when i update an app, wrong username will pop up..
"settings, itunes&app store, sign out username, re enter username"

All accounts show that they are online.
