Mail address problem

Mail assigns the wrong address when I enter a name. It assigns my email address when I enter my wife's first name. It only started recently. Any ideas? Where does Mail get its addresses?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. Thank you for the private message. I understand that you are trying to claim an ePrint email address that has already been used.
Once an ePrint email address has been claimed, it is no longer available to be used again, even if the printer has been deleted from an HP ePrintCenter or HP Connected account.

IPhone 3Gs e-mail address problem ... They won't delete

I have an iPhone 3Gs.
One of my contacts has changed his e-mail address.
i have altered it in Address Book and changed it. The old e-mail address still shows up when I am trying to send him an e-mail (The new one also does0
I have deleted the entire contact from address book on my macbook and synced. I have re-entered it in address book and resynced.
The old e-mail address is still showing up.
The new one also does.
A clue ... the new one says WORK: before the new e-mail address ... the old one does not have a classification.
How can i get rid of the older e-mail address.
I seem to recall reading on this forum a while ago that stuff got stuck in cache or something.

Yes, there is email address cache/dictionary. Unfortunately, the only way to clear that out is to perform a Restore in iTunes, and set the phone up as new (not from backup, since the cache is part of the backup). That means you'd need to reload all your content, re-enter all your preferred settings, etc.

Mail Addresses Problem

Mail does not seem to find all recipient addresses that are stored in Address Book. I've checked the distribution lists in Address Book, and all looks fine there. I type the recipient name in the To: field, and the name I want does not appear even though it is in Address Book, and it's even in the Apple Mail Recipients group!

I'm trying to send mail with a different address from my gmail account. Gmail is the registered account for Mail. Mail seemed to allow me to do this before but now it always sends from the gmail account. Is there anyway of changing this?

Check to see what you have in Mail Preferences/Composing/Send New Messages From.

IMac e-mail addressing problems after Mavericks download

I recently downloaded and updated my iMac and now can't drag and drop multiple addresses into the address box to send out an e-mail. It worked with Lion but not Mavericks it seems. Help!

I select my addresses but when I drag them over to the address bar, the bar won't highlight and the addresses won't drop. I tried moving the whole group over by the group name too and it's the same way. I can drag and drop each one individually but that's a pain because of the large group.

wenn I startet the first time the LCD and I created a test form with a "submit" e-mail button with a test e-mail address.
after the tests, I created a new real form with the same attributes like the test.
just in the e-mail button I put the correct e-mail address.
problem: after the distribution - the form is filled out by a user and he pressed the submit button - the e-mail goes to the wrong address
-whatever I tried - it's always the test e-mail adress in the answered form - and I don't no where I can change
can somebody tell me how I can change this ?

Now this is ridiculous!!!!! I design a form in Livecycle and it puts on an email "submit" button in the header of the file that I cannot change, so I have to go to Acrobat and change the email address for the final distribution and then change it back for the next form I design?????

I have just downloaded OSX Mavericks and am having a lot of problems with my iCloud account. I get a message "this iMac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with (and then it quoted my e-mail address) Does anybody know what the problem could be??

As mentioned above I have just downloaded OSX Maverick to my iMac. I am now having a lot of problems with iCloud. I get the message that "This iMac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with, and then it goes on to quote my e-mail address. It then says to open iCloud preferences to fix this problem.
I do this and no matter what I seem to do this message continues to return.
Can anybody explain how to resolve this problem (please bear in mind that I am noy very computer literate).

I'm exhausted of trying to find a solution to a problem created by Apple. I have moved to icloud following all your instructions and now I can not use my mobile me e-mail address. I can not activate icloud because when I put my e-mail address it answers that somebody is already using my address. I have my old e-mails, but I can not receive any e-mail or send them.
I have contacted Apple Technical Support in Spain and I was sent an e-mail saying that I have to call a phone number and when I call it is always an answering machine who answers that says that I have to pay 50€ for a consultation or wait for 10 minutes. When I have made the consultation it was never mentioned that I have to pay 50€ for a phone consultation. If I don't want to wait I have to pay for the Apple Tecnical Support which cost 250 €, this was not mentioned in the technical support page.
Can somebody let me know how can I contact Apple in another way in order to talk with a human being or chat directly? I was very happy just using my mobileme e-mails, I didn't need any clouds and I was force by Apple to registered if I want to continue using my mobileme e-mail address.

Yes. Delete the Apps that were not Purchased using Your Apple ID.
But a Restore as New is the way to go.

I have been trying to find an e-mail address for Apple problems that are not on your list of questions usually asked. Could you therefore let me have an e-mail address for being able to sort a problem I have with i-tunes purchasing for audo books as I by mistake downloaded a book instead of an audio book and would like a refund for The One I Love by Paul Pilkington so that I can download the audio book. This is the first time that I have used this facility and I obviously got confused with books and audio books, I need audio books because I have an I Pod Nano and I like to listen to my books on this. Have since upgraded the e-mail address in account manger, but it still locks me out and rejects my user name and password when I try to log in. It seems it established an account for me automatically when I first fired the beast up, but now the Macmail program is uncooperative with me. Any assistance would be much appreciated, Thanks

Sounds like some needed System Fonts wre replaced by bad ones. Y also have Font Book in Applications for validating fonts & checking for duplicates.
Required Fonts from 10.3, much the same in 10.4...

then intall the Fonts what you need from your Install Disk.
Or do a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Mail & Address Book with Exchange = Problems Problems Problems

Hi All,
There is a serious issue with Mail/Address Book in Lion with Exchange Server 2010. I have had nothing but grief since upgrading and I have been able to recreate my scenario on two macs using two different profiles so I know it's not related to any settings or anything. None of these problems appear in Outlook 2011.
Basically, to sum up the massive list of problems:
The connection to Exchange drops all the time. I have to use to function "Take my accounts online" about 60-70 times per day.
Trying to send new e-mail often results in a pop-up box indicating that the server isn't available to send (with the options to Try Again With Selected Server or Try Later)
GAL look up for names takes forever. Sometimes the GAL will come up right away, but often times, there's the spinning progress indicator that can take upwards of 1-3 minutes to find the name in the GAL. Same in Address Book, spinning indicator trying to retrieve the GAL.
When sending e-mails, Mail seems to "duplicate" the last name of the person I'm sending the e-mail to if I've already sent them an e-mail in the past (even if I clear the previous recipients list). For example, "John Smith" would appear as "John Smith Smith"
Trying to move messages often fails. I suspect this is due to issue #1 above.
Like I mentioned, none of these problems occur in Outlook. Granted, I would much prefer to use Mail as the search functions are much faster and the program is snappier.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Mail on Lion + Exchange 2010 servers? At this point I'm wondering if it's potentially a configuration issue with our exchange provider (and if so, what would it be?).

I'm having this same problem with syncing address book to exchange contacts. I know I have the correct exchange server specified because I have it in both Apple Mail and on my phone. Also, In the past i have been able to sync address book, but at some point that stopped working. Exchange is syncing perfectly ota to my phone, but I hate to go into OWA to add or change contacts.
