Mail after interaction log with copied attachment

Hello experts!
I want to create a mail out of an interaction log with copied attachments.
This means:
1) I create an interaction log and add an attachment to it
2) I select "more" "send mail"
3) I want this mail to have the same attachment as the interaction log
Does anybody know how to solve this?
Greetings,
littlesam
EDIT: Right know I'm trying it with customizing, I created a BAPI, but I have no idea how to copy the attachments?

Does anyone have a suggestion here?

  • Synchronization of tasks and interaction logs with Outlook doesn't work

    Dear SAP Experts,
    I'm workink on CRM 7.0 (release 7.7.06.010).
We are trying to make the synchronization of activities, contacts and tasks from our CRM system to Microsoft Outlook.
It's working fine for the contacts and for the Apointment BP visit (transaction type Y020).
But no synchronization made for others activities (interaction log Y007 and telephone calls PCAL) or BP Tasks (Y030) we created in the system.
We just applied today SAP Note 1415263 and Groupware Integration 3.057.
I made the settings in the CRM Calendar tab in Outlook (with synchronization from CRM to Outlook), and checked apointment, contacts and tasks.
In customizing (CRM > Transactions > Basic settings > Define transaction types), I flagged for the following transaction types the little 'Calendar' box: Y020, Y030, Y007 and PCAL.
In another entry (CRM > CRM Middleware and related components > Settings for client-based synchronization), I indicated the transaction type Y020 for DEFAULT_APPT_PROC_TYPE and Y030 for DEFAULT_TASK_PROC_TYPE.
Any idea about what is missing or not already done?
    Any help will be apppreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Kind regards,

We don't have a CAS array set up.  We want the fail over to be fully manual and only fail over to another server when mb1 is in a completely failed state and won't be back up and running withing a set time frame.  We can get everything working
on MB3 and only Outlook doesn't work when everything is on MB2.  Outlook also doesn't work if databases are on another server and DNS is pointing Outlook to MB2 (again MB3 works fine).

Thank you for the very clear basic instructions—helpful for a newbie.…Also my first screen shot !! I see that it does not have .App next to it
Most likely because you have Finder's preferences->Advanced->Show all filename extensions unchecked. Check it, log out, and back in and all the apps should display the .app extension.
Now, back to your problem. If you installed the Security Update 2012-004, it failed to update Mail to 4.6; thus, your problem. Manually DL it from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1586 and reinstall it.

Some forms do not display correctly in the Desktop Reader if field highlighting is enabled. This is something we're actively working on, but you might try disabling field highlights by clicking on the button in the purple bar at the top of the Document in the Desktop Reader to see if that helps.
Can you please share the file? You can email it to [email protected] This way we can get a better idea what is happening.
    Thanks!

  • Cannot get mail after I sync with Mac unless wifi is available.

It seems after I sync my iPhone 5s with my Mac I can no longer get my email on the phone unless I'm in my house (wifi) or any place else that has wifi. I keep getting an error message telling me either the user id or password is incorrect. I've deleted the account and reinstalled. I was somehow able to get it back by myself (don't remember how) once and the second time I went to the AT&T store and the person there got it back for me a second time but then when I did my sync the issue came back again. Please help!!!

It is fixed from the time I signed in to the iCloud. (?) Can someone from Apple explain it?
Thanks to sanjayfromtoronto for his help!

  • Apple Mail and gmail bug when sending attachment?

    Hi,
And now for my own Mail question. Wondering if others have run into this bug?
    Mac OS 10.5 MacBook Pro.
There seems to be a bug when trying to send Mail with an attachment (via a gmail account).
Over and over, Mail just hangs there.
    But it works when:
    1. Using Mail, the same email can be sent when I Remove the attachment.
    2. Skipping Mail, and using gmail itself, the email and attachment are sent within seconds.
    2. Email with attachment can also be sent from another email service (such as Earthlink).
Only when I am using Apple Mail, sending via gmail, With an attachment, is there a hitch.
    Thanks again for your attention,
    - Ross

Perhaps this problem is confined to Mail 3.0 and later, and Leopard. I cannot send attachments using gmail as the smtp server. I can log in to my gmail account, download an attachment, and send, with no problem as Ross has experienced. I get an eternal hang when trying to send the same message with an attachment from Mail. Any solutions yet? Thanks!

  • Problem with MacMail on MacBook Air - mail with 32MB attachment appearing in "recovered messages" folder every 12 seconds

Problem with MacMail on MacBook Air
3 days ago I failed to send a mail with a large (32MB) attachment - and it is no longer in my outbox, draft mails or sent file.
BUT a copy of this same mail now appears every about 15 seconds in my "recovered messages" folder
I noticed when I received a system error saying I had a disk almost full issue - there were over 580 copies of the mail with 32MB attachment in the "recovered messages file"
I deleted them all, and deleted the Trash
BUT the message still keeps re-appearing every 15 seconds or so.  So I keep deleting them.

  • Mail to Proxy scenario with attachment. AF channel error.

    Hi,
We are running SAP PI 7.1. I am experiencing the following problem in a Sender Mail adapter.(POP3).Mail to Proxy Scenario.
I have configured a sender mail adapter channel as POP3. This channel is configured to use the Mail Package and to Keep attachments. When I send a mail with an attachment to the mailbox that is being monitored by this channel, then the channel collects it from the mailbox.
In channel monitoring it indicates that the message was successfully delivered. However when I click on the message ID the view the audit Log it gives an error: u201CTransmitting the message to endpoint http://HOSTNAME:8101/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection AFW failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error transmitting the message over HTTP. Reason: java.io.IOException: Error writing to server.u201D The message never arrives at the integration sever to be view in sxmb_moni.
Also when I sent a message without an attachment the message does go through. Or if I send a message with a text attachment the the message goes through, but not the attachment.
Any help would be most welcome.
    Regards
    Willie Hugo

    Hi Willem,
I'm coming back to your original problem: "com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error transmitting the message over HTTP. Reason: java.io.IOException: Error writing to server.u201D
Actually I had the same problem here and found a solution for it. In this case it was a file to Proxy scenario. The file send was large. After structure conversion the file size was more then 100 MB as indicated in the Audit Log of the message "2009-03-02 09:27:06 Information Send binary file "<File_Name>" from ftp server "<ftpuser>", size 106706248 bytes with QoS EO.
The ICM restricts all HTTP requests larger then 102 MB via the parameter icm/HTTP/max_request_size_KB which has a default value of 102400 (100 MB). Therefore it rejects the requests and your error is thrown.
There are two ways of avoiding this:
    1) Increase the parameter:
Increasing the parameter implies a risk since large messages can overload the system (e.g. during the mapping). Therefore it is good to have these safety measurement in place.
    2) Split the request:
Depending on the scenario it might be possible to split the request  to restrict the max. number of records for a given file. This is the prefered option because it ensures better stability of the system and also better performance.
I think this situation applies to you as well - but I'm not sure since you did not specify the request size and the size of the attachement.
    Best regards,
    Mike

  • Note:  Mail.app and Folders with Dovecot - Copying Folders w Subfolders

I found a problem with Apple Mail regarding folder creation with the new Dovecot Server...
Say you import some mail from Eudora or some other mail client, and you have folders with no messages, only subfolders (or mailboxes if you want to call them that). The mailbox on "My Mac" appears white instead of blue, and you can see the subfolders just fine and everything looks great. Drag that folder (the white one with subfolders) to your IMAP account to copy it to the server. It will copy just fine. Now try to rename or delete that white folder you just copied to the server. You will get the following error:
For this example I will call the problem folder "TestFolder"
The IMAP command RENAME (or DELETE if you try to delete) (to TestFolder) failed with the server error: Mailbox does not exist: TestFolder
    The problem is this:
Dovecot creates folders and subfolders as separate directories on the server:
    .TestFolder
    .TestFolder.TestSubFolder1
    .TestFolder.TestSubFolder2
In the above example, there is a folder (or mailbox) called TestFolder with two folders inside it, TestSubFolder1, and TestSubFolder2. This example is the correct way to create a folder with dovecot, or if not "correct", at least you can delete or rename the "TestFolder" without an error.
What happens with Apple Mail (Mail.app), is that when you drag a white folder to the server, it would create the following:
    .TestFolder.TestSubFolder1
    .TestFolder.TestSubFolder2
Notice the root folder .TestFolder is missing. This is why you get the error message noted above. If you create .TestFolder in the directory, chmod 700 .TestFolder and chown <username> .TestFolder, you can rename or delete the problem folder (notice it turns blue as well). This gets rather annoying when dealing with multiple folders/subfolders, and is not a real graceful way of dealing with the situation.
Apparently there is some intended difference with the white folders and blue folders, in that blue folders can contain messages but white folders can only contain other folders. Great, but Mail.app needs to somehow create the folder on the server in a way that is compatible with Dovecot.
If someone has a developer account (mine keeps complaining that there is missing information, but there is no missing information and won't let me log in), could you post this as a bug report? I'll deal with my developer account later...
    Thanks.

    > It's not that they don't show up in Mail. In Mail, they are in their
(manually) sorted folders. On the server they are in BOTH their
sorted folder, AND the main inbox where they first appeared.
Yes, but what I’m saying is that, according to your reports, even after rebuilding the Inbox of the .Mac account that has the problem, there are still messages in that mailbox on the server that don’t show up in Mail in that same mailbox. Is that correct? This is what doesn’t make sense to me...
    > Mac-mydotmacusername1
    Mac-mydotmacusername2
    [email protected]
So you have two .Mac accounts and a POP account. You hadn’t mentioned this before, had you? I got the impression that you only had one .Mac account...
Which account has the problem, i.e. for which account there are messages on the server’s Inbox that don’t show up in Mail even after rebuilding that mailbox? Are you moving messages from a .Mac account’s Inbox to custom mailboxes of that same account or to mailboxes associated with the other .Mac account?
    <hr>
Try this to determine the scope of the problem:
    1. Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Accounts and create a new user account for testing purposes.
    2. Either log out of your main user account or just quit Mail so that it does not interfere with the other user account.
    3. Log in as the newly created user and set up Mail anew there.
    4. For spam-related security reasons, go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it’s enabled.
    5. If you set up a POP account, go to Preferences > Accounts > Advanced and disable Remove copy from server after retrieving a message if it’s enabled, to avoid messages being accidentally removed from the server while testing.
    6. Check whether the problem also happens when logged in as another user.

  • Problem with mail after upgrading to tiger...

When I upgraded the OS in my PowerBook, all the mail messages in my in-box disappeared. Now, the only thing that shows up in each mail is the following, "The message from [Antonio john Doe <[email protected]>] concerning “Stuff” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."
The e-mail is also gone from the earthlink
server because they wipe all mail out after a few days. Is there a
    way to recover the messages?
    Powermac G5 dual 1.8   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   1.3 Gb ram

The conversion from Mail 1.x to Mail 2.x is broken. Take a look at the following thread to better understand the problem:
Help! "You need to take this account online in order to download it."
More specifically, if this is a POP account, the following procedure should allow you to fix the Inbox problem. A similar procedure should allow you to fix other mailboxes that might also be affected:
    1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
    2. Make a backup copy of the ~/Library/Mail folder, just in case something goes wrong while trying to fix the problem. You can do this in the Finder by dragging the folder to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. This is where all your mail is stored.
    3. Create a new folder on the Desktop and name it however you wish (e.g. Inbox Old). It doesn’t need to have an .mbox extension.
    4. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/INBOX.mbox/.
    5. Move the files mbox and Incoming_Mail out of INBOX.mbox, into the Inbox Old folder just created on the Desktop. These files contain all the messages that were in the mailbox before the upgrade to Tiger, and maybe even some messages that had been deleted. mbox is the most important. Incoming_Mail may or may not be present.
    6. Move any strangely-named Messages-T0x... folders to the Desktop (not into the Inbox Old folder). These folders are to be deleted after fixing the problem. They are temporary folders created during an import or an indexing process, and Mail should have deleted them when done. Their presence is a clear indication that something didn’t work as expected. If you’ve been using Mail after the conversion and have already tried to fix the problem by rebuilding the mailbox or something like that, they might contain messages that are neither in Messages proper nor in the mbox file, so keep them around until the problem is fixed.
    7. Move everything else within INBOX.mbox, except the Messages folder, to the Trash.
The result of the above should be that INBOX.mbox contains the proper Messages folder only, and the Inbox Old folder on the Desktop contains the mbox and Incoming_Mail (if it exists) files only. Now, proceed as follows:
    8. Open Mail.
    9. The account’s Inbox should properly display in Mail as many messages as *.emlx files are in ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/INBOX.mbox/Messages/. If that’s not the case, select the mailbox in Mail and do Mailbox > Rebuild.
    10. In Mail, do File > Import Mailboxes, choose Other as the data format, and follow the instructions to import the Inbox Old folder that’s on the Desktop.
As a result of doing the above, some messages may be duplicated now. Andreas Amann’s Mail Scripts has a Remove Duplicates script that you may find useful for that.
Do with the imported mail whatever you wish. You may move the messages anywhere you want and get rid of the imported mailboxes afterwards.
If all is well and you don’t miss anything, the files on the Desktop can be deleted, although you may want to keep them for a while, just in case.
You may want to take a look at the following article (also referenced in the thread I mentioned at the beginning of this post) to learn what you might have done before upgrading to minimize the risk of this happening, and what you may do after fixing the problem to avoid similar issues from happening in the future. DON’T do now what the article suggests, though, as that would make things worse in the current situation:
    Overstuffed mailbox is unexpectedly empty
Ask for any clarifications or if you need further assistance.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.
