Mail application with new maverick operating system requires me to log into i cloud every time I open the mail application. Why is this?
I downloaded the new maverick operating system to my mac book pro, and after the download, the mail appliation keeps poping up a log in box from i cloud asking my password. Why?
If the email addresses are not aliases and you have seperate sign in Apple IDs, the first sign into iCloud with your main address.
For the second, open Mail, Contacts, & Calendars icon in system preferences. Click to add account and choose iCloud in the list. Provide your ID and password and the account should be created. You will not be able to sync AB, Calendars, etc though. You will only have those features with the first main account you set up first.

I have downloaded the toolbar from "Inbox Dollars," yet every time I open Firefox, it's gone! When I attempt to download it again (YEP, EVERY TIME I OPEN FIREFOX!!!) I get the little box telling me Firefox has blocked it, do I want to open it. Then I get the message that it will open after restarting the computer. This is REALLY a pain, and I don't want to go back to IE, but at least this wasn't a problem with them...
I downloaded the toolbar. When I was done using the computer, I put it to "sleep." The next time I "woke" the computer and went to Firefox, the toolbar was gone. When I downloaded the toolbar again, I got a box in the upper left hand corner of the screen stating Firefox BLOCKED the toolbar, and did I want to allow it. There was NO option to allow always-it's just a one time deal. When I shut down for the day, I expected it to remain, but no-next time I fired up firefox, NO TOOLBAR. I pulled up Inbox dollars again, clicked on download toolbar, got the box stating it's blocking the toolbar, etc, etc, etc. Unless Firefox upgrades daily, or in some cases, several times in one day, I'm going to stick with my description that the toolbar magically disappears EVERY TIME I OPEN
FIREFOX!!!
I don't profess to be any type of computer whiz, I'm totally self-taught, and it's not beyond the realm of possibility that I'm doing something wrong. I've been using Firefox for about a week, so I'd welcome any help! -

I'm having issues with my illustrator software. It keep crashing before i have chance to save anything and I've lost of of my work 3 times now and getting fed up. It seems to be playing up ever since i downloaded the new Mavericks Operating System on my macbook pro. But this is definitely the worst its been. Ive never had to force quit so much in my life.
I have tried a few things to sort it out, but has anyone else had this issue?

Did you reinstall the CS5 after installing Mavericks?
If not, you should; otherwise, Illy is likely to get confused, and then she does funny things, or nothing at all.
The safest way is the full three step way.
Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

I downloaded the new mavericks operating system on my macbook pro and I can't find out how much space I have left. Before the installation of mavericks, storage space left was displayed at the bottom of the Finder window.
In the Finder, under the View menu there is an option to Show Status Bar. Select that and you will see the info on the bottom of folders again.

Thanks Carolyn. Unfortunately, this didn't work. It turned out to be in my display monitor as I have my computer wired to my tv for streaming. Once I changed the monitor display it worked fine. Go figure

Firefox is trying to update my 8.0 version to 9.0.1. I'm not ready to do so because the Norton Toolbar is not yet compatable with the new Firefox release. Have been using Lightroom on my Apple computer for years. Now, ever since upgrading to Apple's Yosemite operating system I get an error message (150:30) every time I try to open a lightroom file. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Also how do I subscribe to Adobe's Premium Support? Every time I've tried (through contact support) I just get taken on an unending loop.

Exactly how are you trying to open them (what menu command or button or mouse action or keyboard shortcut)?

I can create documents in Mavericks Pages and Keynote. When I attach them to an email and send to others also using Mavericks, they can't open the attachments. Why might this be?
The new Pages v5 (Mavericks) uses a new file format with the same extension name (.pages). Older versions of Pages cannot open these documents unless you first export them as Word (.docx) and send these as Mail attachments. The same is true if you originate an IOS Pages v2.01 .pages document.
You may be sending to people who chose not to install Pages v5 on Mavericks and continue to use Pages ’09 v4.3 instead — especially for the superset of features that are presently not in Pages v5. -

Aperture is asking to upgrade library every time I open the application, even after it has already been upgraded. I just ran the update and it is still not fixed. What can I do??? My plug are asking me to re-register them too. This is annoying. Please help!!!!!
How do you try to start the repair dialogue? By starting Aperture or by opening the Library?
If you not already have tried it with directly opening the library:
reveal your Aperture Library in the Finder
Whilst holding down Command(⌘)- option (⌥) double click on the Aperture Library.
Select "repair library" from the dialogue.

It would be really helpful to know, how many libraries you have, and if this problem is restricted to one of them. -
Every time I open the browser the Welcome to Firefox tab is the first tab, then a second tab opens and thats my google, then a 3rd tab opens for me to reinstall my toolbar. This has been happening for a good year. Updates have not fixed it. Others have this problem. I did a search for an answer, the question is out there but no answer. Now if I go into add ons and add a background Theme or an extension it all is gone when I exit the browser. When I open the browser again I get all 3 tabs and have to install my toolbar again. I DO NOT want to reinstall as I will loose all my saved data, passwords, bookmarks, everything! I have had this computer for a year, Windows Vista x64 bit. Its not the computer, it's the browser. My new Iphone will not connect to my home wi-fi, unless I am standing beside the router. Why is this and how do I fix it? I have previously connected it to another hub before trying to connect to my home wi-fi. Would this of had an effect?
If you have connected to other wi-fi successfully, then your wi-fi should be working. Try power cycling the router. Disconnect it from power for about 30 seconds and then restart it. After it has come back, try connecting again.

Is Adobe Premier Elements 11 Compatible with Apple Mavericks Operating System?
I am considering upgrading to the Mavericks operating system on my iMac computer, but before I do, I want to make sure that Premier Elements 11 is compatible with the operating system and will run properly. Anyone have any experience.

Premiere Creates New .CFA files every time I open the project
I have a project that contains 2 long (70 min.) clips. Each time I open the project, Premiere conforms the audio for both clips. I save the project, close Premiere, open it right back up and it starts conforming the audio again.
I have tried changing where Premiere stores the audio preview files, but no matter what I do, Premiere puts the .CFA files where it wants.
I have 8 versions of the same .CFA files - and the next time I open Premiere, I'll have 9.
Any help would be much appreciated!I took a look at the Troubleshooting link you posted, and it was a little helpful but isn't quite up to date. For example, it says to specify a new location for conformed audio files by choosing Edit > Preferences > Scratch Disks, which isn't an actual menu tree in CS4. Here is how I've set things up:
I have gone to Edit > Preferences > Media and set the location for Media Cache Files to C:\PPro_Video and set the Media Cache Database to the same folder. When prompted, I chose to delete the existing Media Cache database file. I left the "save media cache files next to originals when possible" box unchecked.
Then I have gone to Project > Project Settings > Scratch Disks and set the Audio and Video Preview files to the same folder (C:\PPro_Video)
I saved the project, closed Premiere, and deleted everything inside C:\PPro_Video.
I restarted Premiere and opened my project. Premiere created three folders inside C:\PPro - Media Cache, Media Cache Files, and Adobe Premiere Preview Files. I then waited while Premiere created the .CFA and .PEK files inside C:\PPro\Media Cache Files. Once they were done, I closed Premiere.
Reopened the project. Premiere immediately begins to conform the audio again. I look inside C:\PPro\Media Cache Files and see new versions of PEK and CFA files being created with the same file names suffixed by an _1.
Setting aside, for the moment, that using my C drive for a scratch disc might not be optimal, what am I doing wrong? -
Is Elements 6 for Mac compatible with new Lion operating system?

Adobe's official response about any software and any major operating system update is that since the software wasn't tested on the new OS, they don't consider it compatible. Just as they never update the system requirements to show updated versions of the compatible OS. They just don't go there at all. If you called them they would say no, but not based on experience or experiment, merely on policy.
I don't think there's anything especially complicated--based on what I hear in real life, people who don't have Open in Rosetta turned on when they upgrade to lion are mostly okay, while there's no way to make it go if you did have it set for Rosetta. I would guess a new install would be fine, but I haven't had a chance to try it out myself yet. Scanning and such are likely to have problems, and of course older ppc plug-ins won't work anymore.
