Mail can't write internet accounts in keychain access

Hello,
After having resetted (is this right?) my login keychain, i've noticed *Mail can't write any of my pop and smtp passwords in my new keychain*.
I've tried the *UnlockCaptcha page* from Google, but Mail still won't save my passwords ;(.
_Is this a problem from Mail, Keychain Access or the fact i'm using a laptop?_
Thank you very much.

I can't help you but you are not alone. I am having the same problem.
After using MobileMe to sync my keychains all my macs no longer have mail.app keychain entries. Even after turning off MobileMe keychain syncing Mail.app fails to write a new entry into the keychain for my mail accounts. I am asked for the server passwords each new mail session. It's highly annoying.
I have tried keychain first aid and disk utility. Neither one found any errors.
I'm bumping this to a new thread.

  • Can your creative cloud account give you access to Flash Builder 4.6

Can your creative cloud account give you access to Flash Builder 4.6? 4.7 got rid of the design view, I need to get use out of the design view. Thanks

I wonder why when it would be a downgrade form the version 4.7 my subscription give me access to. There does not seem to any training that uses 4.7 I was lucky enough to find some that uses 4.6 and it covers things about the design view. I thinking since a lot of the material to learn it is kind-a-outdated (and still referrers a lot to design view) that it would be good to learn it with access to design view. This way I will understand what they mean and can distinguish between features. Thanks

  • How can I get Internet Accounts/iCloud to recognize my new Apple ID?

I'm using a 2013 iMAC with most recent Yosemite.  In System Preferences, in Internet Accounts, if I click on iCloud, all accounts are grayed out and it asks for the password to my former Apple ID (which changed yesterday).  If I put my old password in which went with the former ID, it says I can't access my account for security reasons and I need to change my password.  If I put my new password in, same thing. I am unable to access iCloud mail through the Mail app.  I have been to the iTunes store, changed my current password (more than once in this loop) on the Apple site, checked on the iCloud site to be sure it has the current ID and password.

    Hi KaJoHa,
From what it sounds to me is that you need to verify the old account before you can proceed with signing in with your new account name. If you just changed the account, you will need to change the account back to the old. Once you have done that you can sign out of your account and change the account back to the new one. Take a look at the articles below to walk you through getting that sorted out. Let me know if that works or if you are still stuck.

    Hello Surjanto1,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It looks like you are having issues with the email account setup on your MacBook Pro. Let’s see if we can troubleshoot this in an attempt to resolve the issue.
I’ve verified your settings with our Mail Settings Lookup Tool and it looks like everything is correct. Since the issue persists, let’s try using the Connection Doctor as outlined in this article:

  • Apple Mail can't connect to account

An old one this but have suddenly been plagued with it again after several days of success using Mountain Lion. Seem to recall that it might be a fault with the ISP - they don't respond to the request quickly enough perhaps? In which case there's presumably little that I can do:-(   I also seem to remember seeing a suggestion somewhere of tinkering in some way with the Keychains. Any ideas?

Replying to myself the suggestion re. tinkering with the Keychain was a result of this discussion:
    <https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1662481?threadID=1662481>
In the meantime, I'd also followed a suggestion to reboot the router/modem. After leaving it off overnight the following morning there were no problems;-) But, was this the result of rebooting the router/modem or had my ISP had a bad afternoon and their mail servers had been running slow? I will ask my ISP if they were aware of anything untoward problems that afternoon which could have caused the problem - if they're willing to admit it!
In the meantime, no "Can't connect" messages!

    Ugly. Lots of moving parts.
Much simpler to write just PL/SQL code to run the SQL, format the e-mail, and then send it via UTL_MAIL or UTL_SMTP. The resulting PL/SQL code resides in the database (stored procedure/package). Can be scheduled for execution as and when needed using DBMS_SCHEDULER or DBMS_JOB. Is fully portable to other operating systems (the PL/SQL code is o/s independent). The code is subjected to Oracle security and auditing and backup and recovery. It does not have on foot in o/s land and the other in db land.
    Keep it simple.

  • Mail can't connect to account

The mail icon in the dock keeps on telling me I have to sign into my mail account.
It keeps on bringing back the dialogue box used to sign in like I did something wrong but I don't know what that would be.
The same password I used to get back into this forum is not working for me to sign into my mail account and I do not think I have been using the wrong password.
Couldn't I just set this up so this dialogue box never appears at all? It keeps interrupting my work and keeps coming back over and over after exit out and give up on it.

This email was working well before I bought my Macbook and started using it for my Apple ID.
It works fine as long as I go on Safari and then bring it up on a search and the click on the website and log in.
When I turn my computer on, the mail icon brings that diologue box and each time it says I have the wrong password even when I set up the computer to save the password.
I have changed my password numerouse times thinking there must be some mistake and this does not help.
The strange thing is I could login to Apple.Inc discussions with this same password but not get into my mail

  • Mail app and System Preferences--Internet Accounts keeps crashing

I can't figure out how to stop mail from crashing and I am running OS X Yosemite.  Some people say that you can remove the internet account, but when I go to system preferences, It always crashes the internet accounts section.  I also can' find the com.apple.mail plist in library.  Does anyone know how to fix this?
    -Guy

    Do a backup.
    Quit Mail.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail.  Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Restart, re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. You can then put the folder in the Trash. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

  • Mail in my mac iCloud account doesn't show up on the internet iCloud account

I have an iCloud mail folder on my macs (both a mini and a macbook) with many subfolders. All of a sudden the only mail that is on my macs that shows up on my iCloud internet account is in top level folders on my macs. When I click on the main folder that has all of the subfolders, I get a quick whirl of the indicator and then nothing - no sub folders, no emails, nothing! As a test, I moved an email from a subfolder into one of the prime folders on my mac and it immediately appeared on the internet. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or what may be wrong?  In the past I was able to access this mail on my iCloud internet account without any problems.

    James
Could you explain what you mean and how to correct it?
The mail box listing in Mail have various main headings starting with On My Mac, and concluding with ICLOUD. Under the ICLOUD heading there are a series of subfolders, some of which have further levels of subfolders. It is only the top level under ICLOUD that shows its contents.
I just did a permissions repair with Disk Utility and the problem went away!!
Thanks for taking the time to respond.

  • Mail can't index after upgrading to yosemite

    I am on a Macbook Pro, Yosemite 10.10. 2.53 Intel Core 2, 4GB Memory.
A few weeks ago I updated to Yosemite from an older OS. All seems to be working fine, except for Apple Mail. It is having trouble indexing the mail. I did have a large storage of mail for my business and my personal. I don't know how to proceed. I did perform a backup via Time Machine.
    Here's what I did:
When I try to open Mail, it says it needs to import messages. I click 'Continue'.
After about 6 or 7 minutes, it appears to be done importing my 25K messages.
I get a message saying it is upgrading my mail database and migrating my data.
Then I get 'The upgrade failed. An error occurred durig the upgrade. Click Continue to launch the Mail Import Assistant, which will help you create a new library and import your existing messages.'. I click Continue.
I get an error message saying, 'Your Mail Index has been damaged. To repair it, quit Mail. Mail will repair the index the next time you open Mail. Your mailboxes and messages will be preserved.'. This has not worked when I open Mail the next time.
I have tried to go to Migration Assistant, but that did not seem to be what I was looking for. I cannot find where my mailbox folders are stored in order to delete several folders and their contents if I have too many stored messages.
Please help. I am not sure what to try to get Mail to open and to recover my messages. Thanks.

The new version of Mail stores its database in a different format than the old one, so the database has to be converted before Mail can use it. Sometimes the conversion fails because the old database is corrupt. The easy way to recover is to discard the old database and start afresh. You can do that without losing any messages, provided that:
☞ All your incoming mail accounts are on an IMAP or Exchange server
☞ You store sent messages on the server
☞ You don't have any "On My Mac" mailboxes
Most well-known independent mail services such as iCloud and Gmail are based on IMAP. On the other hand, ISP-hosted mail services almost always use POP. If your ISP is one of your mail service providers (or the only one), you probably can't use this procedure. Ask for further instructions in that case.
If you know that the conditions above are satisfied, continue as follows.
Quit Mail if it's running. Back up all data.
Open the Library folder in your home folder by holding down the option key and selecting
              Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Inside it is a subfolder named "Mail." Move that folder to the Desktop. You're not moving the Mail application; you're moving a folder named "Mail."
Open the Internet Accounts pane in System Preferences and recreate your mail accounts other than iCloud with the same settings as before. To recreate an iCloud mail account, all you have to do is open the iCloud preference pane and check the box marked Mail.
Launch Mail. If all goes well, your mailboxes should be restored automatically. The messages will be downloaded from the servers, so it may take a long time if you have very large mailboxes. Some people have mailboxes in the gigabyte range, and that may be a problem if your bandwidth usage is metered.
If the mailboxes are created successfully, you can delete the folder you moved to the Desktop. You may have to recreate your Mail rules, signatures, and custom stationery. If it's very important to you not to have to do all that, ask for instructions before deleting the folder.

  • HT204075 Mail can't connect to server because password is incorrect

    Hi,
Since I updated my mac book air with the last OS X 10.10.2, my email has been completely broken. I cannot send or receive.
I use Register.com with a personalized email (@perrinparis.com) and have never had any issues before. I spent 1 hour on the phone with one of their technicians who made sure all my settings (ports) were correct.. But it still isn't working. I unchecked use SSL and 'Automatically detect and maintain account settings'.. It still says it can't connect to the server. My hotmail account works just fine.
I have deleted and re-added my account several times..
    I'm hopeless

I had the same problem after upgrading to 10.10.2 last week.  Mail.app wouldn't connect to my Yahoo! or iCloud mail accounts.  I tried Unibox instead of Mail and that worked for a week, but then Unibox had the same problem.  Ultimately, what fixed Mail for me was to log out of iCloud in System preferences, delete my Yahoo! mail from System Preferences / Internet Accounts, then restart the Macbook Air into safe mode (hold down the shift key while booting).  While in safe mode, I went into System Preferences / iCloud, logged in, and enabled Mail, and then added my yahoo account in Internet Accounts.  Finally, Mail started to connect to all my accounts and I was able to receive and send mail again.
I restarted normally and everything has been working fine since then.  While my reply is not guaranteed to work for you, I sincerely do hope this helps!

  • Mail Can't Send To "NULL"

After adding an iPhone to my setup, suddenly Mail has decided not to send on the first try from certain accounts. I get a long message that basically says "Mail can't send from account 'NULL', select another server". So I click edit and re-send and the mail goes out fine on the original server that had been specified – I do not select another server as the dialogue box suggests.
Is there anyway to fix this so I don't have to send every e-mail twice?

    Hey Woodwyn.
I'm having the same exact problem.
It's been happening for a while(several years), but lately, it's been doing it more often.
I repaired permissions, and all that stuff.
My computer is a lap top, and when I take it to work, the Mail program does the same thing.
I don't select a different server. It's already set to the correct server. Why should I change it?
And my network setting are fine. I haven't changed them, so why should I even check them?
Anyway, I have to click "send" 4 or 5 times, in order for my e-mails to send.
The error message says exactly this:
"Cannot send message using the server (null)
The server response was: From: address not verified; see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/manage/sendfrom-07.html
Use the pop-up menu below to try a different outgoing mail server. All messages will use this server until you quit Mail or change your network settings."
    Very frustrated right now.

  • How can I Write a sine wave in an Access-file?

I measure a sine wave in LabView 6i. How can I write the datas automatically to an Acces-file, at the same time?
In my program, I managed it with Execute SQL.vi, I change a number in a SQL statement(String) -> after this I push start and then it writes the statement in the Access-file.
The problem is, it writes only one data per measurement in the file. How can I write all datas in the Access-file and measure the wave at the same time?
    Thanks for help!
    Attachments:
    getwave.vi ‏49 KB

On the waveform palette, you will find a "to components" vi that you can break out the array of the waveform. You can then, using a for loop write all of the values from the waveform.
Better yet, there are examples in the database toolkit manual on pages 3-13 to 3-15 that deal with reading arrays (and even has a waveform example).
    Good luck!
