Mail: cannot change the outlook web access

Hello,
I need to change the outlook web access, but the system is automatically reconfiguring it any time i do. For this reason, i am not able to connect to my outlook mail. Any ideas how to solve the problem?
The automatic outlook web access is webmail.XXX.XXX and what i would need is: https://webmail.xxx.xxx/exchange
Thank you for any help

Hi there!
OWA configuration is very tricky...I know that I was never able to configure mine via my device interface to BIS. Only by using a PC/browser to my carriers BIS site was I successful. Here is the list of carrier BIS sites:
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F
And here is the KB with specific OWA instructions -- follow them very very carefully:
KB03133 How to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
Good luck and let us know!

  • Cannot press SEND / NEW MAIL button in MS Outlook Web Access

I am completely upset after updating the iphone os 4.1 because i cannot simply send email using the MS outlook web access. FYI I can still view the email but cannot send. my company doesnt allow me to use the POP (similar to yahoo) for security reason and hence i must need to use the webmail (via internet).
moreover, my wife just bought another one which is still under 4.01 but her phone can do. what's the problem? can i convert back to 4.01 or my phone has problem? pls help. thanks!

Solution (found by searching forum for "Safari Crashes"):
Settings > Safari > Autofill > Names & Passwords "Set to OFF".
Then choose "Continue" the next time. You've lost your password fill-in but at least you can log in.

  • IPhone 3G, Safari cannot open OWA (Outlook Web Access) to Exchange 2007

Hello, picked up iPhone 3G in hopes of replacing my Windows Mobile 6 phone (AT&T 8525), and first i did was,
    a) Installed the my .pfx certificate, appears successful as the certificate showed up under Settings | General | Profile, as identity certificate (although shows up as "Unsigned", not sure why). Verified the details of the certificate and all looks correctly imported, especially the expiration date is correct.
    b) Setup Safari to NOT block popup, cleared cache, history and cookies
    c) Opened up Safari, and pointed to the following URL,
    http://my.company.com/OWA
And i get the "The page cannot be displayed", with Error Code: 401 Unauthorized.
This same .pfx certificate is used successfully in my Windows machine, and using the same OWA URL, using Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari for Windows.
And my Windows Mobile 6 (AT&T 8525 phone) also using the same .pfx certificate has no problem opening up the login page to the OWA, using the same URL.
Can someone help or verify whether accessing OWA through iPhone 3G Safari using the .pfx certificate is NOT supported at this time?
    Thanks much!

When you created the PCKS#12 did you create with the full chain? My first suspicion is "unsigned" - this indicates that the phone can't validate what signed this certificate. You may have to import the signing root seperately as I don't know if the iPhone cert store handles chained certs or not.
Secondly, Safari browser is echoing back the 401 message indicating that the server did not accept your credentials. Many SSL implementations require the client to send the full chain (to the root that signed everything) - it makes no sense when the server should have the root and be able to validate this, but I have run into this before.
Since this has worked on your WinMO device I would try the following:
From a desktop PC access your OMA/OWA server - hopefully you have the PFX installed on a desktop
Click on the SSL lock icon and view the certificate hierarchy
Export the root and any intermediate into .CER file
Import the root and any intermediate CER files into the iPhone
The first thing that you hopefully will see is that the Profile cert will no longer say unsigned. If it does not, try re-importing it (pfx) AFTER you install the root(s).
I know that some of this seems un-necessary, but I have done a lot of PKI stuff over the years, but there seems to be very different implementations in key management.
    Hope this helps!

  • Unable to read mail in Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access

Hi, I'm very new to this, so please be gentle with me.
I  bought a Blackberry Curve this weekend so that I could access my work email from my phone.  I've added my email address to the BIS and the mail is coming to my phone no problem.  But I'd like to be able to log into the actual Microsoft Exchange account so I have access to my files and everything.  I went to the log-in page from the phone's browser and logged in.  Everything looks fine, but when I highlight an email and try to open/read it nothing happens.  It also won't let me view my contacts. Same as with email, when I select it nothing happens.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. My carrier is Verizon, in case that makes a difference.

Hello to you both...and welcome to the Forums!
If I understand you correctly, the best solution for you is BES -- Blackberry Enterprise Service. However, that will require investment ($$$) by your firm and time for your IT folks to get it all configured. If your firm already has BES, then the switch is much easier -- just ask them to put your BB onto BES. BIS is designed as an email-only conduit; all other items sync to the BB via USB tether.
It sounds like you are trying to access your firms OWA server via your BB browser. That can be tricky, but I've heard of folks getting it to work. What you need to do is play around with the various configuration settings inside of your BB Browser. With the browser open, press the BBKey and select Options. Within there are many many settings...you will have to play with them to find the combination that works for your specific situations. I'd suggest first trying the Browser Emulation (or perhaps Identification) setting...see if one of the available options in that allows your OWA to interact properly with your BB. If that doesn't work, try other settings until you find the combination that works for your unique situation.
    Good luck!

  • Outlook Web Access + Mail.app?

I'm setting up a friend (a new Mac user) with some applications, and he wants to use Mail in Tiger to check his school email account. His university uses Outlook Web Access for student accounts. Any way I can get Mail to work with his account?
    iSMH

This sounds like an Exchange type account and if so, an Exchange account with the Mail.app allows you to connect to your Exchange server via IMAP, and if you enter text in the Outlook Web Access Server field, Mail filters non-email related content from the server. (You can get the text you need to enter from your mail account provider.)
For Exchange to work with Mail, Exchange administrators need to configure the Exchange server for IMAP access. Some system administrators may refer to an Outlook Web Access Server as an Internet Information Services (IIS) server.

  • Outlook Web Access vs ActiveSync

    Hi all,
Apologies if this question was already asked, but I can't seem to find it if so.
I work at a largish company who use Outlook Exchange for our corporate mail. One of the main reasons I got my iPhone 3G is so I read my work mail wherever I am without having to ask for a company Blackberry.
However I may have made a mistake as I didn't realise how worried about security the firm is. I cannot set up ActiveSync for the life of me - it just says wrong password even when it is correct - and this may be because:
    1) The firm does not allow IMAP or POP access to Exchange
    2) I do not think they have ActiveSync activated on teh server and I cannot change this
However, we do have Outlook Web Access (OWA) which I can access through a normal browser. In fact I can get this working on Safari but I have to enter the username/domain and password every single time which is unworkable. Therefore my question is:
    - Can I access work email through iPhone native email client, perhaps by utilising the Outlook Web Access (or finding a way to still use ActiveSync)?
Thanks a lot for any help, I'm tearing my hair out here (in a newbie style of way)!!

Unfortunately not, OWA using some fancy coding that means it will never store your password in your broswer. You have to type it in every time.
Your only choice is to yell and scream at your IT department until they enable ActiveSync.
Please note some key words that may help you achieve this goal:
*Remote Wipe* - This allows, in the event of the phone been stolen, for the phone to be wiped remotely.
*Limited Exposure via Limited Backdated Emails* - This means that if for any reason the person who stole your phone is smart enough to disable all internet access (WiFi, 3G, EDGE, GPRS) BEFORE turning (or the wipe command is issued) on the headset there will be a limited amount of mail in the box... the options are 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month (default), no limit.
And finally, *Increased Productivety* - You will be able to increase the produtivity of your working by getting mail on your phone.

  • I am using Microsoft OUtlook Web Access for work email and I am losing functionality. What do I do?

I use Microsoft Outlook Web Access for work emails when not at the office4 and I cannot/do not have any options to enlarge text or change fonts, etc. What do I need to do to make it work as if IE were my default browser?
    Thanks.

Outlook Web App (new name) on Exchange Server 2010 should be quite full featured. The Outlook Web Access supplied with Exchange 2003 didn't offer a very good experience for browsers other than IE...
Could you describe where the problem with fonts is: when composing messages, or when reading/working with the UI?

  • Can no longer connect to a Microsoft Outlook Web Access site

    Hi,
    I hope you can help.
I used to be able to access a Microsoft Outlook Web Access site. However recently I am unable to do so. It has a self signed certificate, which I used to choose to accept, and then the browser waits and waits and waits.
I have tried Safari, Firefox, Camino, Flock, Opera, even Internet Explorer. They all behave the same way.
I am not sure when it stopped working. I only log on infrequently. So I do not know if it stopped working after a security update or an OS upgrade.
My Mac is up to date with software updates. I have performed the usual things, repaired permissions etc.
The funny thing is I can connect using Netscape Comunicator under Classic. I have also borrowed a friend's MacBook running leopard, and that works too.
I am wondering if a setting somewhere has become corrputed or inadvertently set incorrectly.
    Thank you in anticipation.
    Ted

    Hi Bryan,
    Thanks for your input.
Unfortunately I cannot get any of the OS X browsers I have tried to get beyond the accepting the site's certificate. All just stall waiting on the Outlook Web Access site. Safari 3.1, Camino, Flock, Firefox (2.0.0.12 and 3 beta 4), Netscape (7.1 and 9), Microsoft's Internet Explorer (thinking that might be more integrated with its Outlook Web Access package).
I have even deleted the certificates from my Keychain (for Safari) or within the other browsers' preferences.
Last night I even re-applied the 10.4.11 combo updater and then checked for software updates to confirm my system was up to date, but again without success when attempting to reach the Outlook Web Access site.
    Thanks anyway.

  • SharePoint 2013 (Foundation) and Outlook Web Access WebPart (OWAPart)

Hi, I've read most MSDN forum threads relating to this topic, however, I haven't seen my issue anywhere.
We're running SP 2013 foundation, and I want to use the Outlook Web Access web part.  I followed the steps outlined here:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/shawa/archive/2014/06/01/owa-web-part-in-sharepoint-2013.aspx
(Sorry, can't add link since I'm new around here)
To make the WebPart available in the site collection.  Which worked.
When I try to actually add the WebPart to a page though, I get an error message stating: "There was an error adding the component to the page" (roughly translated from french).
If I try to see the web part properties from the site settings > Web Parts, I get a SharePoint error page, and the help link yields no information.
Most problems I've seen are with the actual configuration of the WebPart, but I can't even get to that step.

I dont think you can use Outlook web app for foundation. This is not possible because those Web parts  use Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.dll
which is not avaliable and registered on SharePoint Foundation.
Instead of using the OWA web parts, you could also try using the Page Viewer web part and set it to the OWA URLs...
If this helped you resolve your issue, please mark it Answered

  • Outlook Integration - Quotations via Office Outlook Web-Access possible?

    Dear all,
via the Outlook Integration Add-On it is possible to view, create and edit Quotations via the Outlook Client and synchronize them with SAP Business One. The add-on automatically creates a folder in the Outlook client for all the Quotations.
Our company is using Microsoft Exchange and also the Office Outlook Web-Access function from Microsoft. Means the webbased Outlook Version. Also here of course I can see my quotation folder. But when I click on one of the Quotations in that folder, no any Data get displayed.
My question: Does somebody know a way how at least to display synchronized Quotations also via the web-based Outlook version?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
    David

    Dear Gordon,
what do you mean exactly by 'Through eMails'? I can see the quotations in my 'Quotations' folder in the outlook web-access Platform. But when I click on any of them, I just can see the subject. But he body (with Quotation details such as Header, Line Items, Footer) is empty. An example of a Subject looks as follows:
41 (Series=11,Key=41) Liberty City Pipes and Fittings - Posting Date: 3/3/2010

  • Anyone else have outlook web access suddenly stop working on iphone 5

After working fine for over a year I suddenly can not access my work email server via the Outlook Web Access. I've spoken to 3 different Apple Care reps over the past week, reset network settings, updated to 7.0.4, etc. but nothing helped so they told me to contact Microsoft. But before I try that unappealing avenue I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this over the past couple weeks and if any remedies can be offered?
I can access my work email from my iMac, iPad, and even my Windows laptop (gasp!) so it's not a problem with my work's server. Something is going on with my iPhone 5 (which is nearly brand new since I exchanged it in Sept. due to a hardware defect).
    Thank you!

    Hi.
Worked on the first 30 seconds and then no acess over 3G or wi-fi. Safari was blank and opening and closing by himself.
    Any other suggestion?
    Thanks.

Does it have to be an applet?
If you want the same behaviour as in the code with traffic lights, change
    class MortgageApplet extends JApplet implements ActionListener {
    to
    class MortgageApplet extends JFrame implements ActionListener {
    and change
    public void init() {
    to
    public MortgageApplet() {
