Mail cannot get my emails but sends ok! Checked passwords, deleted and re-entered but still nothing. Everything works fine on my iPhone 4
Mail suddenly stopped getting my IMAP emails from my provider yesterday. I checked the passwords and all ok. Then deleted the account and re-entered it but still nothing. Strangely everything is fine on my iPhone 4! Maybe I need to delete and download a new Mail app? Any suggestions welcome!

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

When attempting to open email I repeatedly get a message that my username or password is incorrect. I have tried everything to reconcile including deleting and reopening the account however nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
If it is a POP account, there could be an issue with the outgoing server setting. It will not hurt to check this and make sure. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional. -
In Pages when I click the 'Sections' button then click on the 1st page I get a page that is titled "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet"! Where did it come from and how do I get rid of it? I have tried deleting and "dont save" but it comes back. It is a full page in some unknown language. The only thing I can decifer is 'cupy uf cak'. Rdal

The icon is +Sections, not just Sections, as in "Add a Section". When you click that icon you get a section break and and a new section template, complete with preformatted text called placeholder text. The reason "Lorem ipsum" is there is so you can see what the format looks like. The reason that it is Latin gibberish is so you won't get hung up on, or distracted by, what it says. It's just a display of format. Select the "Lorem ipsum" text and start typing your content.

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.

This imples that your computer does not see any device, not just the iPod when it is connected ot a USB port. This points to a major problem with Windows or a hardware problem. Use the WIndow's troubleshooting to get the USB ports to work. -
Upgrade successful, but this morning after signing in, Mac has locked up on "setting up your Mac" screen. Ive restarted it, and powered down and started again, but the same thing happens. Help!
I had the same problem and found the answer!
In Outlook, go to the Help menu, then Check for Updates.
I downloaded & updated Outlook, then it upgraded my database, and everything worked out fine for me!

I have two email addresses coming into my mail at all times. Recently, I tried to activate MobileMe after it had sat unused on my hard drive. Since then, one of my email addresses does not send or receive. The window pops up telling me my password is wrong. What do I need to accomplish to fix this issue?

While transferring Adobe from laptop to PC the licensing files got corrupt and the right way to use Adobe Applications is to install first as transferring from a different machine can give you problems.
You can try steps from this article if that helps otherwise you have to reinstall and manually delete some files , everything is mentioned.

AAfter updating to ios8.2 yesterday Facebook doesn't work. It worked fine before the update. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Facebook and shutting down the iPad completely - nothing! Anyone help?

My iPod touch charges but no longer plays thru my Onkyo or Phillips home theater systems. Works fine with friends iPhone and both systems worked fully with this iPod in the past.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

I've logged onto iTunes, but it's asking me security questions because it's a new device, and I'm getting the answers wrong, but iTunes wants to reset but send the new passwords to my ex partners email address how can I get round this.
I believe part of the recovery process is you get an e-mail allowing you to reset questions. If that e-mail isn't correct either because your son set it up then you really have no option but to ask Apple again. They are getting strict abotu security and given the number of "My iTunes account got hacked" posts here I can guess why. They have no way of knowing you really are the owner of the account. It's like me going to a policeman and saying, "See that car over there? That is mine, can you open the door for me?" and the police opening it on that basis alone.

I can add this: and I think you see the smiley-- but I cannot use the "B" bold button to make a selection of text bold; nor any other features for emphasis-- and cannot even get the Preview window to open.
