Mail checking interval through the day and weekends?

I'm used of working with Windows mobile, I synced my mail with the exchange server from the office, it checked during weekdays from 8 am till 10 pm, the other hours it was on manual. I'm now a very happy iphone user, but I'm really missing this feature, I get mail all the time, so also during the night :\ I really don't want to wake up for some stupid spam mail. Is there a solution for getting the mail check interval planned?

option - > More -> Account settings ->
- Update my inbox =manually /FAst / Very fast
- Alert me for new mail = on/off
- Alert me only during 00.00-00.00 Better on midnight to midnight

C3-01 checking email through the day

I have just got a C3-01, have set up email (gmail) and set the phone up to our home network, but we have a small problem.
Through the day the WLAN seems to automatically switch on to check my email, I have looked in the settings and cannot find anything that I may have done by accident, any other time I connect to the network the phone checks with me first on which method to use (either orange internet or WLAN) so that's not an issue, but does anyone have a clue why it's checking seemingly on it's own??.

Yes. When you get a notification that an update is available, select "Try Tonight". That will constrain the update to occur between 2:00 and 5:00 AM.

IPhone 5 battery life dramatically has changed. I can hardly go through the day without it dying. Once I hit 20% it's down hill from there. It will jump down to 9% in a few seconds and refuse to come back on. Any fixes?

I bought my iPhone 5 the day the stores in my area received them in. I was incredibly impressed with the battery life for an iPhone. The battery life was awesome up until the last few weeks. Now I can hardly make it through the day on a charge. When I get around 20% power left its only a matter of a few seconds before the batter jumps down to below 10% without me doing anything. Immediately after that it shuts off and refuses to come back on when only 30 seconds ago it said I had 20% battery power.... I'm not a terribly heavy user on my phone. I just check the social media sites a few times a day and send a few text messages and that's all. I've shut off location services, Bluetooth, automatic updating of email, closing apps and all that stuff. I'm almost always connected to wifi when I do anything with the Internet on my phone.

My phone goes off in any time of the day and the only way to get it back is through pressing and holding of Home and Sleep button together

Like I said in the subject line:

I restored it on I tunes as well did something on the phone. The lastest seems to have helped it but I haven't used it much yet! Thanks for the help & I'll let you know!

[E72] Small packets of GPRS through the day

Hi again,
on my expenses list from operator, I noticed that I have about 30 small packets of GPRS through the day (up to max 10 KB). My phone is set up in dual frequency mode. I have no mail account activated on the phone, nor any other application which should connect by itself (I have only skype and opera).
Could someone explain me what's going on?

Hi Aspergerguy, this option was set up to 'Only in home network' so this could really be that.
Problem is that I was in a roaming for a few days, and I got my receipt only for a first day through which I see this small packets and every one of them is charged for about 1€ I was about ten days abroad, so when I get receipt for the rest of the trip, I'm looking at really big expense.
One thing which I noticed is that while I was in roaming when I would take a look at phone, firrst it would say this it is in my home network (which is impossible) and then after few seconds it would state real network in which phone is. Could it be that during this time phone sent those packets?
Since this is really serious issue, can anyone give me another contact, email or anything where can I get information on this.

How to change the day and time seen on the calendar

Hi.
I am a bit confused as to how to restrict the day and time shown on a calendar.
The ical help says this:
To change the days of the week or the number of hours that appear in the main calendar view, choose iCal > Preferences, and make your choices from the Week and Day pop-up menus in the General pane. For example, you can choose to only see the hours from 9AM to 5PM on Monday through Friday.
However, in my preferences pane, i don't have a either a week or day pop up menu that i can see, so i can't seem to restrict these fields. It's really frustrating as calendars are beginning at 1am!!!!
Anybody got any ideas?

OK, but what did the help menu mean when it said..
To view the day's, week's, or month's events, click the Day, Week, or Month button at the bottom of the iCal window.
To change the days of the week or the number of hours that appear in the main calendar view, choose iCal > Preferences, and make your choices from the Week and Day pop-up menus in the General pane. For example, you can choose to only see the hours from 9AM to 5PM on Monday through Friday.
To change which months are shown in the mini-month calendar (in the lower-left corner of the iCal window), click the arrows above the mini-month calendar. To see more than one month, drag the mini-month divider (the horizontal gray bar above the diamond) upward.
To see events that are earlier or later in the day, use the scroll bar on the right side of the main calendar view.
To change the range of time in the main calendar view that is not shaded (representing your "normal" day), choose iCal > Preferences. In the General pane, choose the times you want to appear in white (not shaded) from the "Day starts at" and "Day ends at" pop-up menus. All times outside that range are shaded.
This suggests that you should be able to limit the hours actually shown on the calendar to a set range as opposed to just changing the shaded area.
Have you any idea how to achieve this, as i don't see the popup menu suggested with...

It would have been a great help to know precisely what Mac you have, so some of the following may not apply:

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

iTunes is quite friendly, and very powerful.... You probably just need to set up automatic syncing in iTunes.
If the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. The iPod appears in the sidebar, under DEVICES. Select the iPod there.
To the right, the iPod's Summary screen is shown. Toward the top, there is a bar of buttons, starting with Summary. Click on Music next to Summary. This Music screen is where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music. This setting enables automatic syncing for music. If your iTunes music library is small enough to fit on the iPod's storage, you can choose to sync Entire music library. Otherwise, you can choose to sync Select playlists, artists, albums, and genres. From the lists below, select (checkmark) what you want to sync to the iPod.
Here's one convenient way to set this up. In your iTunes library, create one or more playlists. Add the ALL the songs you want on the iPod to those playlists. OR, you can use existing playlists. Back on the iPod's Music screen, select those playlists under Playlists. (You can select other items on those lists, if desired.)
When you click Apply, the songs in your selection sync to the iPod. Going forward, to update your iPod (add/remove songs), just update those playlists in your iTunes library. The iPod does not need to be connected. The next time you connect the iPod (or click Sync if already connected), iTunes automatically updates the iPod with the same changes.
NOTE: On the bar of buttons that starts with Summary, click on the other buttons (such as Movies, Podcasts, Audiobooks, etc.) to set up syncing for those iTunes media categories.

I went through the activation process yesterday and shut down my PC when I went to bed last evening. When I got up this morning and turned my PC on and then started Lightrom 6 (I upgraded from version 5) it started to launch but then just hung and became "not responsive". I I then uninstalled and then reinstalled the product today but the same thing happened. What is weird is that when I install from the standalone file I downloaded when I purchased the upgrade it looks like it's downloading the software again over the Internet? I have been having these problems for the last four or five days. I have contacted the chat support folks twice and they were able to get it working but whatever they did did not last as the problem reappeared again once the PC was shut down and then started up again.

IPod takes a trip through the washer and dryer

My 14 year old son left his iPod nano (3rd Gen.) in his jeans pocket and it ended going through the washer and dryer. It now doesn't work. I think it's a definate goner, but he insists I find out whether it is fixable.
Anyone want to take a shot at this one?

Most likely the battery is shot from that cycle. It MIGHT be fixable with a new battery, but it may not be worth it.
