Does anyone else not miss the following functions in the apps on the iPhone?
Search Mail
Unlimited mail on the device
COPY AND PASTE
Contact list that when looking at the numbers use the list and not the highest number, so that every contact's numbers are in different places

The App store is a problem for many and I have not seen a solution.
What is "wrong" with your Apple ID?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

It probably has to do with your security and/or browser configuration.
When my laptop crashed last year and I had to get a new one, I dealt with the same thing. First, go to your control panel and select the security section. See if your firewalls are up or not. If they are, turn them off. If you have any software to speed up your browser, that can affect the connection as well. Go into that software and disble/turn it off. If this doesn't work, contact customer support. They have a few other tricks they had me try that worked, but I can't remember them now.

Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync.

I've Heard the T-Bolt is having some issues with Market Apps with this Being a New Device there may be a alott of apps may not work properly i had a new update for Zedge come on my X an it was for the T-Bolt. Upsetting as it is you've got a new Device an even though it was tested. The Test for it really comes when gets in the hands of the Comsumers an with any new device it'll try you patients but just Roll with as many of the Developers are updating there software to accomadate the T-Bolt. First and foremost, I'll give you the specs of my machine:

So alas, onto the actual problem. My Mac will start up (kinda slower than normal), and will eventually reach the main screen with the dock and everything. Though, the top bar with the clock and magnifying clock is absent, and worst of all, NONE of my applications can be opened. All of the Error Messages read as follows, "Finder Quit Unexpectedly". The only thing that really sticks out is the thing that happened with Logic (yet ANOTHER problem arises). Logic's startup screen STOPPED at, "Initializing Audio and Music Services". I'm fairly convinced that it's something rooted there (but I could be wrong). Help pretty please!!!!! Any and ALL help is GREATLY APPRECIATED

Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run _*Repair Disk*_ from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.

Will Blackberry apps ever be developed to be configurable to use a wi-fi connection? I would assume there is great demand for such. There are very few places I go that do not have wi-fi and I have been able to save a tremendous amount of money by going without a data plan. I got an unlocked BB Curve 8900 ( at full price) and then bought T-Mobile's prepaid 1000 minutes.
I'm using traditional Internet addresses (like Gmail) that usually have a mobile rendering for email and information. I am always seeing other apps that would be convenient to have; though they seldom work properly. They always open Browser instead of Hotspot Browser, the one you must use to go to the Internet via the same kind of access that laptops and notebooks use.
If I let the phone go where it wants; I usually end up downloading and installing an app; which then won't work. To get what works, I Go To a specific Internet address like I would using the address bar in a full browser running on a computer.
Does anyone know how to configure these apps to use Hotspot Browser?I figured out how to get my Curve to default to Hotspot Browser; so it opens first when I click the "globe" icon in the BB menu; but this hasn't worked from various apps I've tried (Facebook, Google Maps, Google Talk, etc.).
Perhaps if I download a different browser? Like Bolt or Opera?
Also, I think I should be able to use Google Voice with my Curve; but I haven't been able to figure it out yet.
I don't have the use of the GPS capability - I'm thinking that is not possible - am I correct? The same with SMS?
Can anyone advise me about what others have been able to do and how?

You don't say which BB you have or which carrier you use or your geographical location.
What you are asking for is full BB functionality without paying for it. I can't see RIM doing that somehow. They rely on carriers distributing the product so would be shooting themselves in the foot.
I've no doubt you feel pretty good having saved "a tremendous amout of money" but I suspect it costs you to do so. Browsing by Wi-Fi doesnt eat into data allowance meaning you have the full data allowance available when you are out and about. Oh, and you can use Hotspots.
The BB service means you don't log-in to email accounts. Emails are pushed on to the BB and for up to 10 different email accounts.You can read 10 emails in the time it takes your browser just to load the log-in page.
You can also download apps that work and many of them are free.
You can download and use whatever browser you want, it still won't get you round the problem. No BB data plan means seriously limited functionality.
Voice dialling and GPS may not be supported by your device. SMS will be.
In terms of money, my friend was paying £20 payg to O2 on an ordinary mobile. We located a violet 8520 on Orange UK with 500mb data allowance for £9.85 per month. So who's saving money?

None of your iTunes downloads are included in a backup, neither to the cloud nor on iTunes - an iCloud restore would redownload what it can from the store (e.g. apps that are still in your country's store, and if you haven't changed countries since buying them), an iTunes restore would pick them up your iTunes downloads from the relevant part of your iTunes library (Apps, Music etc). Only the apps content/settings are in the actual back up - you can see which apps that you are backing up to the cloud via Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > device name
If you haven't already done so then you should copy any iTunes downloads that aren't in your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, and take your own copy of any important documents/photos - as long as you've set their apps to backup to the cloud then they should be included in that, but it's best to have your own copy as well.
You could also take a backup on iTunes (File > Devices > Back Up) - that should take up a similar size as the cloud backup does (as it doesn't include any of your iTunes downloads or the contents of the Music and Videos apps). After you are happy that the update has gone through ok then you can delete the backup (though ideally you'd take a regular iTunes backup as well) via the Devices tab in Edit > Preferences in iTunes.
Emails are not included in a backup, only the email account's settings are. Also photos that were synced from a computer are not included, nether are the contents of the Music and Videos app.

When there is an update to a newer version of a browser like this update to Safari 5.1.4, is there an article that goes over the best way to update to a newer version of a browser that one knows of? Is it best to close all apps, install the update, turn the computer off, turn it on and hold down the shift key until the gear and progress bar are showing, when this is finished, do a restart of the computer. I hav always wondered the best way (if there is a best way) to update to a newer version of a browser so you avoid potential problems. Is there a Support Article that goes over installing and updating to a newer version of one's browser, in this case Safari?

Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two in Tiger, but much longer in Later versions of OS X.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

Firefox does not recognize the global "advanced appearance" background color setting although IE and all other apps seem to.

The background color of the little mouseover info text boxes is a dingy manila (yellowish) with black text. How do you change this color? The color specs in XP seem to work most everywhere except Firefox.

PS 9 crashes when using Healing brush. Clone tool and all other tools seem to work ok.

Just installed v9 today. Have been using v7 for a long time and there is a little difference in using these tools, but as soon as I start to paint with healing brush (with the content aware button on)(or any other variation for that matter), the program crashes. This seems to be the only problem although the Topaz filters seem to be pretty slow as compared to using them in version 7. I have 2gb of ram and a 2.4 mhz Intel processor with a GEforce 5200 128mb graphic card. I think that all of the other sys requirements are met or exceeded as well. Anyone got any ideas?????????

Hi . I recently updated my macbook air late 2008 to 10.7.0 from 10.6.8 . My google chrome , itunes and some other apps are not working .

i want to update to 10.7.1 , so i download the update from apple.com but its not installing " saying can't be installed on my disk . What to do ?
i all ready tried download the update again and again .... because i read somewhere in apple support that the update should be of more than 70mb but mine is of 60 or 58mb . Suggest me a way to update .

If you use Software Update it will designate the 10.7.1 specific for your model, and may miss somethings. It is better to download the update straight off Apple's website. Mind you, unless you know your software is not compatible with 10.7.2 or later, I recommend at minimum upgrading to 10.7.3. That's where I found to be my happy medium with. Run repair permisssion with Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility when you are finished. If you have any third party cache cleaning software remove it. Especially remove MacKeeper if that got installed using these directions since it has given people more headaches than any. The only utility you need is a backup utility. And periodically let the machine stay awake running screen saver instead of energy saver. This will keep the logfiles clean. The combo updates are better than the delta updates. Combo updates do multiple updates at once.
