Mail crashes upon setting the header option left to account

Trying to set the header options like i want a copy field or the priority the mail should have crashed the application. Setting the bcc or reply to fields works. I got around the missing copy to field in setting always copy to me, deleting this and writing the persons email-address in this then existing field.
Are there other ways??

Hi there,
I noticed a similar kind of behaviour, but only while working in localized german. As soon as I switch over to english UI, customizing the headers works. In german, the whole mail.app crashed everytime I try to click on 'customize'.
Is Apple aware of this? Is there a bug report?

We've checked/tried various solutions:
- Mail functions properly on a fresh Test user account.
- Mail crashes when opened in safe mode
- Mail crashes when computer is started in safe mode
- Mail crashes with accounts selectively disabled
- There are no bundles installed
- Mail crashes with Containers>com.apple.mail folder moved to desktop
- Mail crashes with V2 folder moved to desktop
I'm running out of ideas. Anyone can think of something else to try?

Thanks for your help Linc, but after restarting the computer one more time, Mail stopped crashing. As far as I can tell, removing the com.apple.mail folder from containers did the trick (we did put back the original V2 folder). I don't think a corrupted message was the culprit, since Mail crashed upon opening each of his five Inbox folders.
BTW, I already tried to update my posting, but for some reason the Discussion system didn't let me. Anyway, thanks again.

Upon Loading of page, Setting the Top and Left properties of a TextField

I would just like to ask for suggestions on how to successfully set the top and left properties of a Textfield as soon as the page is loaded.
Thru Giri's help, I was able to do this with the push of a button. What I would need to do right now is to set it as soon as the page is loaded.

Hi Jim,
It is not clear what you are trying to do here. If you want to set the top and left properties of a component when the page is loaded all you have to do is set it at design time itself. If the properties need to be set the second time the page loads then the code can be used in the event handler which submits the page.
It would help if you could explain the use case for setting the properties of a component when the page is loaded.

How can we set up the header variables in weblogic once the user is authenticated against weblogic server.
We are struck here, not knowing how to set the header variables in weblogic server. Its fairly straight forward for Oracle Access Manager or others..

Help! MAIL CRASHING upon launch

I let my automatic updater update my OS X.4.10 (was it .9 before?) system. Now whenever I try to launch Mail, it crashes within a few seconds. I ran my Disk Utility application to verify my disk (not permissions), as posted on another thread. No problems were found. So I reinstalled the update. Same problem. Mail crashes upon launch. HELP!!!

For what type of account - .Mac, IMAP or POP?
You can try to stop the fetching process via the Activity Viewer window but this will not resolve the problem when the fetching process resumes.
Assuming you have webmail access for this account, you can delete some of the messages available at the incoming mail server or if you can create server stored mailboxes for this account via webmail access, transfer a large portion of the messages available in the account's Inbox mailbox to the server stored mailboxes to reduce the number of messages available to be downloaded by Mail.
After the Mail.app download process has completed for a smaller number of messages, you can gradually transfer messages from the server stored mailboxes to the account's Inbox mailbox reducing the number of new messages to be downloaded by the Mail.app at one time.
Over 4000 messages in the account's Inbox mailbox at the server is a good deal of messages. Either this account is an IMAP type account with a large server storage space quota or if a POP type account, the server storage space quota must be large.

Unable to set the header - Message-Id in MimeMessage

Hi all,
I'm facing problem in setting the header -> Message-Id
for my MimeMessage.I tried setting the header using
MimeMessage.setHeader() , also I tried with
MimeMessage.addHeader() both the methods didn't
work.
I've also excuted the MimeMessage.saveChanges()
after setting the header.
I tried to display the message after using the above
with getHeader("Message-Id").
But it seems like the values I have set are not being
reflected.
Can anyone suggest why this is happening?

Mail crashes upon index rebuilding

I can't rebuild my mail index.
Each time I try, Mail crashes on the same message number.
I suspect I have some corrupted message in the inbox.
I even tried to extract the INBOX.mbox on my desktop, launch mail and then import the INBOX.mbox mailbox, and it also crashes amidway. Here you are the log excerpt:

Setting the header of a Column group in a Advanced table dynamically

There is a requirement to set the Header of a column group in a Advanced table dynamically by fetching the values from a view attribute.

Problem:
It is not able to set the value for the header inspite of getting the handle of the bean.
Analysis:
the same piece of code works for
1) Setting the text of the advanced table
2) Setting the header of a column in a column group
Please let me know if there is anything more that needs to be done for setting the prompt of a column group header.

Hi All,
I am stuck in a typical XI issue.......I have a scenario where my input to XI is IDoc and output is xml message going to IBM MQ.
The IDoc is sending some chineese character which is fine is SXMB_MONI Integration server and also fine in the payload of message monitoring, so feel the message is going fine from XI to MQ.
But the receiver EDI system which is picking the message from MQ queue says the chinese characters are getting corrupted. They say that you need to set the additional properties in MQ header data
JMS_IBM_MQMD_Format = MQFMT_NONE.
How do I do this in communication channel for jms adapter ? How to I set the MQ header data in jms communication channel ?

How to setting the printing option in javafx 2.1 or later?

We need to printing pdf document in our project, it's can use the open source to do it now, but it's has some problem when running the program in other pc.
Step 1, It's setting the program with full screen in our program.
Step 2, In the button event, we call JDK swing print dialog to setting the page option.
They will not bring the swing frame to front, and the Javafx program unable to response cause by the swing printdialog.
If anybody know how to deal with the paper option setting by Javafx, Please help me, thanks a lot.

However, there is no way to prevent an XE user from having complete control over applications installed into those databases. If the end user's database is not XE, then only an Oracle Application Express site administrator will be able to change the application's Run Application Only setting to Run and Build Application but all developers with developer accounts in the Application Builder will be able to view and edit the application definition.
Further, when you say "he can easily access my code", remember that the application definition is contained completely within the export file that you distribute but you may have in mind your PL/SQL source code as well. PL/SQL can be wrapped using a utility to make it more difficult to see in clear text.

How to use FlashVars to set the default option on a combobox

We are using XCelcius to display data in an XML file that is populated by another program using the Web Services approach.
On our widget, there is a combobox that allows the user to select a specific range of data. In Xcelcius, the value of this combobox can be defaulted using the Behavior->Default Options->Combo.
This is good, but this also means hardcoding a particular value. What we'd like to do is set the Default Option on the combobox via a FlashVar.
Is this level of behavior exposed via the FlashVars so we can define the default option in our HTML file?

unfortunately you cannot dynamically set the default option in 'Any' selector - so your Flash Vars approach will not work

How to print the PDF file contains stamps without set the printer options

I have pdf document, and stamp them with my personal stamp.
With the printer option under "Comments and Forms", I set to "Document", my stamp DISAPPEARED.
Unless re-set (use options) to "Document and Markups" or "Document and Stamps" then it will be fined.
Can I embeding my stamps to my document so that everyone can print without using printer options to contain stamps?
(regarding to whoever don't know how to set the printer options, and keep asking that I did not stamp on the doc.)

How to set the header of the file to excel type when writing it?

Hello,
I am using POI API to read an excel file that I have previously written using Java, but not using POI (I've written the file using Microsoft office xml and then writing it using FileOutputStream with an xls extension).
The problem is that when I read back the file I am getting this error:
The system was unable to upload the file: Invalid header signature; read 7311066695147732796, expected -2226271756974174256.
which means that the header of the file is not excel typed.
If I manually open the file and save it as excel POI is able to read it but I don't want to do this as this entire process of writing/reading the file should be automated. I don't want to use POI for writing the file because POI cannot provide me everything that I need when Microsoft office xml can.
So, my question is simple: Is there a way, using java, to set the header of a file to excel so that POI will recognize it as such?
