Mail crashes when I click on 'new"

Question

I have an eMac running 10.3.9. Mail was working fine earlier this morning.
Now, I recieve mail with no problems. If I try to forward or reply to an email nothing happens. If I click on new, Mail crashes.
Crash log reads as shown below:
If I use the other account we have on the eMac Mail works fine. Suggestions to fix please! THANKS!

Given that on the same machine, you can send mail in one account and not in the other, the problem is related to that account. Thus, the Mail software is okay. A very likely suspect is your preference file for Mail. To test this, you are going to have to remove your preference file, which unfortunely means you will remove all of the information that you use for accounts. Thus, you should look at your account info and write down all pertinent information you will need to re-create the accounts
Then, exit Mail and pull the file /Users/account_name/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist to the desktop. Then start Mail, enter enough account information to send a message and then see if you can send. If this does not work, you may as well drag the pref file from the Desktop back to where you took it from. If it does work, trash the pref file from the Desktop.
An alternative would be to copy the pref file from the account that works into the proper place in your account. If you do that, make sure that the person owning the account is made the owner of this file.
