I have been receiving mail delivery emails with every incoming email. Is this a server side issue or is my email hacked?

How do I get an audible alert for email from specific senders without getting the alert for every incoming email?

I Need to have emails from my family members to have an audible alert when I am traveling. It seems that every email coming in is doing this. I know there is a Do Not Disturb function but it does not seem to apply to emails.

You can't set a different notification sound for each family member but If you designate the people that you want notifications from as VIP, I think it might be possible to get notifications from family members only.
Launch mail and tap the blue "I" in the VIP section. Tap "Add VIP" in order to add the family members to the VIP list that you want to include. Then tap "VIP Alert" to automatically go to the notifications area of the settings app. Set you preferences in there for the family members. Then go to Settings>Notitication Center and turn off the audible notifications for all other mail.
The setting states that whatever you set for VIP alerts will override the other mail alerts, so I am taking that to mean that what I am suggesting is possible to do.

How can I stop Mail from automatically archiving every incoming and outgoing email?

Mail is automatically archiving every incoming and outgoing message, and then synch'ing that with my iPhone -- thus sucking up all available memory. I have never asked it to automatically archive everything, and can't figure out how to stop it. Any ideas?

Launch Mail.
Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Advanced
Uncheck the box beside "Include when automatically checking for new messages".
Do it for all accounts if you want.

Well, at this point, since you're using Snow Leopard and I'm using Mountain Lion, I should probably bow out. It does sound like a number of folks saw this kind of thing in Mail under Snow Leopard back in 2009, but I don't know whether that was a bug or just an accumulation of lots of different issues with the same symptoms all in one place. Create a rule on mail delivery failure

Is it possible to create a rule in the Groupwise client, that when a message bounce back (mail delivery failure) from our relay provider, that the email will be forwarded to an internal recipient.
At the moment I cant get it to work. Moving that bounced email to a folder in Groupwise does work.

I have a very similar issue to this. If I have a bounce back, I want to have that email address extracted to another doc... can be anything... TXT file, Word, Excel.... just something where I can maintain bad emails. Any Ideas anyone?

Can you set different sounds for different incoming email accounts? Example, I have multiple email accounts on Mail. I would like the sound for my roadrunner account to be different from my .mac and personal website accounts. Is it possible to configure this or is there a script out there that someone knows about.

You could choose None in Preferences > General > New Mail Sound and set up a rule for each account in Preferences > Rules as follows:

Problem is, that would cause the sound to be played for junk mail as well — probably not what you want.

Mail wants to download every read email in my Yahoo account.

Suddenly Mail wants to download every single email, read and unread, from my Yahoo account inbox. Can anyone tell me why that might be? I like to keep email for a long time in that box as a backup, so I'd rather not have to check Remove Copy From Server. I don't think there's anything on Yahoo's end that would cause this. Is the Yahoo account set up as a POP3 account for accessing mail? If you really want to have mail stored on the server after you've logged on to that mail server you need to use IMAP. I don't know whether Yahoo offers IMAP, but POP3 was never designed for some of the uses that people try to put it to. IMAP was.

Either that, or someone is forging your reply address on mail that wasn't sent from your account at all. To tell the difference, you would have to log into your mail account on the Web and check for unusual activity.

How do I stop VCA emails for every incoming phone call

I don't want all these emails cluttering up my inbox. I get an email every time I get an incoming call. Short of uninstalling Call Assistant entirely, how can I stop the email notifications of every single incoming phone call? I have made sure my settings do NOT request email notifications or alerts but it doesn't affect my getting these emails for every phone call that comes in. See example below. I was told by tech support that emails from [email protected] were controlled by Verizon and began getting sent to customers VZ_ID that is not the same as the primary Email account email address, but is the same mailbox. Verizon disabled the "Glitch" and now my VCA and TV Caller ID does not work. I was told the email notification that is entered in the VCA configuration is not the same as the VZ_ID. They stopped the Emails, now I have to bug them to fix what they broke. Don't want to be bothered right now. It is a pain to have something work and then someone breaks it.

Well it looks like none of our outlook installations actually are accessing the exchange email, nor are we able to send to those email addresses even though they exist. I have 2 email inboxes in Outlook, 1 is the Integra inbox - works fine. The
other is called Mailbox - UserName - populated with folder that are and always have been empty. If I send an email to myself at [email protected] I get the following bounce back.
