Mail file attachments from Vibe using GroupWise - easy ?

Getting attachments in e mails from groupwise into Vibe is as easy as drag and drop.
However in Vibe when in the webinterface or in Groupwise (same thing...) there seems to be only one way to send an email including a file that comes from Vibe:
1. go to the file
2. download it to local storage
3. create a mail and attach - or drag the file into the open mail window
What I am looking for is in the vibe file action menu maybe a "Send as mail"
Or in GrouupWise a simple drag of the file to the "New Mail" button.
That would be really simple (and user friendly)
Are we looking at an ER, or have I just missed something extremely obviuos ?
If I need to code a JSP then I certainly need directions !

    Hello there! Welcome to the forums @rt70
    I understand you're having some issues with printing PDF files from a website on Windows 7.
    I would personally suggest trying to print from that website using a different web browser. If you're using Internet Explorer, try FireFox or Chrome, for example.
    You can also try running the Print and Scan Doctor tool, that will search and try and fix printing issues.
    If you have any issues that continue, please let me know what they are and which programs, websites, and web browsers you have tried, along with the results from running the diagnostic tool above.

  • Read multi-tabbed excel file attachments from Sender Mail Adapter.

    There is a need to read excel attachments from incoming email to a
    mailbox. We know we can use Sender Mail adapter to easily read .xml, .txt
    or .csv attachments.
    For excel attachments we know from SDN that you have to write
    adapter modules to handle excel. However the excel file we need to read has
    multiple worksheets(tabs) and data may be contained in any of them.
    Is it possible to use SAP XI Mailsender adapter to read such a file as an attachment? What kind of module development would we need for this? I am not much of a Java programmer so examples or links to other documentation would help.

  • Creating mails with attachments from flat text files

    Hello XI community-
    we need to send emails containing attachments via the email adapter. The input comes from a flat ascii file.
    The source file contains the message body, receiver and one or more lines that have to be converted into one or more (text) attachments.
    As far as I know, the mail adapter can create attachments only from SOAP attachments.
    Does anybody know a way to create SOAP attachments from the message payload?

  • How can I restore deleted file attachments from further back than the history tool will let me go?

    I have a open form that collects registration information from customers, including documents and images that they can upload using file attachment fields.  Back on 2/24 I inadvertently deleted the several hundree responses that the form had collected up until that point.  Using the history tool, I accessed older, intact versions of the form, selected the deleted rows, and copy/pasted them back into the latest verskon of the document.  It seemed to work fine, but I didn't look closely enough to see that the attachments had been lost.  The file referenvces were still there, but they had little red exclamation marks next to them and couldn't be opened.
    A couple week later, I discovered this and tried to go back into the form's hsitory again until before that accident on 2/24.  However, I can no longer go back in time that far.  The system only seems to let me go back around 10 days.
    We need to recover the lost file attachmentrs.  Is there  a self-service way for me to restore my form back to 2/24, including file attachments?  If not, could an Adobe supprrt technician hele me to do that?
    Thank you

    Now I can finally plug in my iphone and sync without losing all my music from my iphone.

  • How to extract a .eml (e-mail file) "attachment" from an e-mail

    Hi,
    I have a slight problem with e-mail attachments. It's quite an explanation, so stick with me please.
    I have to extend, debug and adapt an e-mail archive for my company.
    I already worked on this project for 2 months, to make an extra batch and change some functionality of the existing e-mail archive.
    I've been outsourced for a montsh, and now back on the e-mail archive.
    There were some problems with e-mail attachments. (.gif, .doc, ...)
    Some of them weren't shown in the web application.
    The code that already has been written has a custom Email object. This e-mail object contains custom EmailBodyPart objects. Every EmailBodyPart has a disposition (Part.INLINE or Part.ATTACHMENT).
    In every JavaMail Message object, every BodyPart is read, the disposition is extracted, and an EmailBodyPart is created with the disposition and some other data. Then, this EmailBodyPart is added to the Email object.
    But sometimes, an attachment (.gif, .doc, ...) doesn't have the correct disposition in a Message, and isn't added as attachment, but as INLINE.
    This way, in the web application, there aren't any attachments visible for the e-mail, but when you send the mail back to your inbox through the web interface, you can see the attachments again.
    I had to solve this, and make the attachments visible in the web interface, and i did. I just checked if a filename was present, and if it wasn't an image (images still can be inline), then the disposition of the EmailBodyPart is set to Part.ATTACHMENT. It is visible now.
    But now on to the problem...Sometimes, an e-mail (.eml file) is added to an other e-mail as an attachment. But, this e-mail isn't included as disposition attachment, but just as an other message within the message. It doesn't even have a file name. It seems like this is just a forward or something.
    This e-mail should be visible as an attachment of the surrounding e-mail within the web interface. Does anyone have an idea how i can accomplish this and extract this body part as an attachment? Are there any headers i can check? (I printed the headers of the body part and there were only three, content-type, encoding en such ... but nothing like disposition. I tried to set the disposition to attachment to make it visible as an attachment, but that didn't work.
    Thanks already in advance.

    Hi there,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Well, it was kind of a mistake in the webapplication itself. The object passed to the related method was an instance of MimeMessage (the previous programmer only checked MimeMultiParts), and those weren't added to the vector of attachments. Now they are.
    But now i still have problems. I have to give those attachments a file name. I tried extracting the subject from the message, but in the related method the message is casted to a multipart (is needed for further processing), and i can't fetch the sub-message's subject (if i get the part, i can't get the subject header anymore).
    If i don't give the file a .eml extension, it opens a MHTML file or something, and it is unreadable by windows. If i get an InputStream of the part's content, and return that, and give the attachment a .eml extension, i get the outlook window , but all the text is pure HTML code. Not like it should be, and the mail in Outlook doesn't have any headers (no from, no to, no subject, ...)
    Any idea here ? I could suply you with some code, but i don't understand all the steps myself, i got on this project which was build by someone else. It's quite a lot of code.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Playing a video file retrieved from database using JMF

    Hello!
    I am developing a multimedia application that has to store videos, music, pictures in a database. I did a little searching and found that JMF is a very good solution in playing video/music using Java. I found some examples to play the video/music stored on the hard drive (as separate files), but i have to be able to take the video/music from the database, and feed it to the JMF player. Has anyone some suggestions about how this could be done?
    Thanks in advance!
    Edited by: radu.miron on May 8, 2008 9:03 AM

    Well, i think i didn't make myself clear enough :). i know how to retreive the data from the database. The thing is this: let's suppose i have a 700 MB movie stored in the database. One option to play that movie would be to retrieve it from the DB, create a file somewhere on the disk, and put the data retrieved from the database in that file. But this involves that the disk will be overflooded when let's say 100 people watch 100 different movies. Another option (as i see it) would be to gradually take parts of the movie from the database (first 50 MB, then another 50 MB, then another and so on), and feed it to the JMF player. The user will watch the movie, but will not have the whole movie available, just a part of it. As he watches it, the application takes the next chunck of movie data and feeds it to the JMF player. That was the question i intended to ask, if anyone has any idea regarding the second option, and not the part with retrieving from the database, but the part with giving the JMF player video data to play.
    The example i found on the web with JMF player is the following:
    import javax.swing.*;*
    *import javax.media.*;
    import java.awt.*;*
    *import java.awt.event.*;
    import java.net.*;*

                        int status =
                             chooser.showOpenDialog(PlayVideo.this);
                        if (status ==
                             JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) {
                             File file = chooser.getSelectedFile();
                             try {
                                  load(file);

              player.start();
         public static void main(String args[]) {
              PlayVideo pv = new PlayVideo();

  • File upload from form using cf8 file functions within cfscript?

    essentially, i'm wondering if anyone can give me an example
    of a way to replicate cffile upload using cf8's native file
    manipulation functions within a cfscript tag?
    more specifically, i am wondering if anyone had any code
    examples for uploading a file specified by a user on an html form
    using cf8's file functions (fileOpen, fileCopy, fileDelete,
    fileMove, fileClose, etc....) within a cfscript tag. i've done this
    a number of times in the past using upload through cffile, but i'd
    like to take advantage of cf8's new native file functions and be
    able to deploy the code within a cfscript block.
    i've found some simple examples of the file functions within
    the docs and online, but nothing showing me how to take a file from
    an html form and upload it where i want it, as cffile will do.
    thanks in advance for any help.

    those cf8 file functions are for manipulating files on the
    server.
    you still need to upload the file in one way or another.
    as for replicating cffile action=upload in cfscript: just
    write a
    function that uses cffile tag to upload a file, and call that
    function
    from your cfscript!

  • Force Mac Mail File/Save As to use Raw Message Source

    Mac Mail version 6.3.  When using File/Save As, is there a way to force the save as format to be "Raw Message Source" always?  I change it to that, but over time it seems to switch back to Rich Text and I know I didn't change it.

    Thank you.
    I saved the email as Raw in a folder on my desktop, then went to file-import mailbox in mail, and tried to import it. I got a message that it saved to an import folder in the mailbox list, but there is no such file. I tried making an Import folder and import it again, but it did not work.
    Then I tried saving as Plain Text and Rich Text Format. I got an error that No valid Mail for Mac OS X files were found.
    I have SpamSieve, could that be a problem?

  • Problems unzipping files downloaded from Firefox using Windows built-in extractor tool

    Hi,
    I am running Firefox v26 on a Windows 7 (64-bit) PC. I work for a library that is able to reproduce digital audio books that we can download from the Library of Congress's National Library Service (NLS) for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. I use Firefox to download a lot of zipped audio books for my job. The file formats found in one book's zipped folder often include the following file types: .3gp (they're like a more compressed MP3 audio file), .mp3, .ncx, .opf, .pncx, .ppf, .smil, .md5, .dtd, .ent, and .ao.
    If I use Windows' built-in extraction tool to unzip an audio book I have downloaded via Firefox the extraction process ends prematurely and acts as if it was successful, but in reality some files are were never extracted. For example, I downloaded a zipped audio book that contained 21 files and weighed in at 87.6MB. The built-in Windows extraction tool only unzipped 2 files weighing in at 30.3MB.
    I have downloaded this same zipped audio book using Google's Chrome v31 and IE 11. Both downloads unzipped successfully using Windows' extractor. To make things even more bizarre, I *was* able to successfully unzip my audio book that I downloaded using Firefox using a 3rd party extraction tool called Extract Now. Because I tend to use this 3rd party program to extract my audio files I don't know at which version of Firefox this problem started. All I know if that this hasn't always been the case.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    -Dan M.

    Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps with extracting files.
