Mail filter not functioning in IDA

IDA version: 1.2
Messaging Server: 5.2 Patch 2
I tried to set mail filter with IDA, but the filter does not seems to be working. I tried to set the File To Folder, but email is not being delivered to the specified folder.
I check the message header, the original-recipient has change to uid+folder@ims-ms-daemon, however the email is not being File to Folder xxx ..
Any suggestion.

Sieve filters cannot create a folder, that folder has to exist, and it must have permissions on that folder to allow such delivery. (That's IMAP ACI). Otherwise, the message will be delivered just to the inbox.
Sounds like your filter is working fine, but the folder either doesn't exist, or doesn't have permissions to allow sieve to deliver to it.

Junk mail filter not working properly

About two weeks ago mail started marking lots of messages as "Junk". Even messages (reminders) I send myself are marked as junk. This is entirely new and I don´t have a clue of what triggered the change in behavior.
I have turned off the junk mail filtering, but that is not my preferred solution.
Any hints on what might be going on?

I too have a problem with junk mail, but it is a little different. Every time I click junk mail for a mail message that is junk, nothing happens. What I mean by this is that the same emails from the same sources continue to come into my inbox without being filtered out. Is there some setting that I need to check to have mail filter out my junk?

Mail Quickview not functioning as in previous versions

A beautiful function of mail has always been the quickview function. Hit the space bar and you get a view of the attachment-quickly without opening up the app that it is native to.
i see the hidden view button and when I hit it it simply pops up the file as a folder-no quick view. And if I select the file it opens it before I can hit the space bar.
What am I missing?

Erase Junk Mail does not function

Suddenly I cannot delete Junk Mail anymore by using Command-Option-J:
—pressing the keys results in a bleep only,
—under Mailbox it appears greyed out.
What may have happened, and
how to restore it?

All mail is stored in Macintosh HD/Users/"Your User Name"/Library/ in the folder called Mail. Importing this folder from an earlier backup (ideally a Time Machine backup) would revert your mail back to the date of that backup, meaning and subsequent mails you received since then would be lost. Your Mail preference file, (stored in Macintosh HD/Users/"Your User Name"/Library/Preferences and called com.apple.mail.plist would most likely not have any adverse affect and should not need to be replaced.
Having said this it might be worth scanning your Mac with some sort of Malware utility such as Sophos for Mac (currently free: http://www.sophos.com/products/free-tools/free-mac-anti-virus/). This might be a good idea before taking the extreme measure you suggest. Also I would carry out a permissions repair too, as your system may be experiencing permissions issues - check out this helpful document:

Mail is not functioning properly

Hello
Recently deleted some really old emails to free up some space as Mail was really slow. Now it doesn't work the same as before. Can anybody help?

It isn’t clear what the problem is exactly. Try the following first:
1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
2. Make a backup copy of the ~/Library/Mail folder, just in case something goes wrong while trying to solve the problem. You can do this in the Finder by dragging the folder to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. This is where all your mail is stored.
3. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Preferences/. Locate com.apple.mail.plist and move it to the Desktop (to be deleted if this fixes the problem).
4. Open Mail. You’ll have to set up your non-.Mac accounts from scratch all over again. If given the option to import existing mailboxes or something like that, don’t. Just enter the account information and Mail will automagically rediscover the data in ~/Library/Mail/ when done.
You’ll also have to re-configure most of your settings in Mail > Preferences. For spam-related security reasons, the first thing you should do is go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it’s enabled.
5. As a side effect of re-creating com.apple.mail.plist, Mail might rename Outbox (which is where messages waiting to be sent are stored) to Delivered. The name of that mailbox is actually a misnomer, as it would contain messages (if any) that couldn’t be delivered for some reason. You can delete that mailbox if you wish.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the file path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the file path there.

Filter not functioning

Hi,
I am using sunone webserver 6.1sp4. I have implemented, 2-way SSL on my system. After certain checks with the values on the certificate, a servlet will redirect
the request to the backend server (weblogic). I have also implemented a servlet filter to check all uri's for a cookie and direct them thru the servlet to the backend.
My issue is this, e.g when i go thru the servlet. everything works fine as expected. but when i have something like xyz, which is an application residing on the backend server, the request is directly forwarded to the backend thru the weblogic plugin. I want to stop this, the filter should intercept /xyz and then process, but his is not happening for xyz, i.e for requestes to be proxied to go to weblogic. Has anyone got any idea on how to force all requests to be intercepted by the servletfilter. I have also set <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>, but this doesn't intercept /xyz.

Posterize filter not functioning in Photoshop Elements 12

I just purchased Photoshop Elements 12 for this very feature and now I find out when I open a photo and apply the posterize filter that it does NOTHING. The level of posterization window just sits there open and no matter what level from 2-25-70 or higher, NO change occurs to the photo. It just sits there unchanged for hours. What a ripoff this app is turning out to be.

I am using Yosemite on my iMac. Filter>Adjustments>Posterize does nothing; that is what I was doing and it just sits there and won't effect the photo. HOWEVER,
I have to thank you for Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Posterize, because that DID work and I was able to adjust the posterization level and save it as a jpeg file. Bless you at least that way works.

Help. My junk mail filter is not working in Yosemite.

AAny suggestions for getting junk mail filters to work?

Well, after the latest update to Yosemite (version 10.10.2 (14C109)) Junk Filters seem to be working again. In the latest update I did not see mention of changes to Mail filters but i could have missed a note from Apple.
One caution, I have had to double check the junk mail folder a bit because the Junk Mail filter has restarted as if from the beginning. That is it has to relearn everything.

The search function on my apple mail is not working.

The search function in Apple mail is not working. When I type in something to search by, the results are not showing up.
I've clicked on "All" on the search requirements to include all of my mailboxes.
I've also tried rebuilding the mailboxes with no results.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Filter in mail does not work

All of a sudden, filtering in Mail does not work.
If I type a word that I KNOW appears in several emals, in the Search Mailbox field in the top right corner, it comes up empty.
That happens even if I type the word "and".
I have the All button selecterd.
Is anyone else having this trouble?

Also, many of these emails use your friend's email address as the source email, so it will circumvent your attempts to filter by in address book.
Take a look at the Raw source of the email and see if any of your conditions are being triggered as valid.

Mail webwite address not function?

firefox got a capable allow user click the choice " mail website address", I use it often but recently around a month it not function while i click same item, t tried many tme and almost everyday still same.

Although the Envelope Index mentioned can become corrupt and cause problems, I don't think it would normally cause this. Before rebuild the index, try holding down the Shift key while clicking on the Mail Icon to launch Mail. This allows Mail to skip trying to open any one mailbox or message.

Whe I use my ipad to view my mail, I can move the unwanted mail to the trash without any difficulties. How come I can perform moving the unwanted message from the ipad to the trash but not the notebook and desktop.

HT4061 My mail is frozen. I get to it from the Mail icon, but then it will not function. Touching it will not move it at all.

Try closing the Mail app via the taskbar and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
