Mail For Exchange 3.0.074 sync problem Googlemail ...

After installing MfE 3.0.074 gmail sync is not working anymore.
The Initial sync works allways. But a bit later im only able to send e-mails.
but i dont recive any. When i try to sync it manually i can see in the log that MfE trys to update 1 e-mail on every sync .But nothing more happens. i dont get any new email.
if i subscripe a new folder the init syncs works again but later its the same again.
There are people describing the same issues.
currently only installing an older MfE version works but Nokia dosent offer old versions officially. So please bring the current official version back to work.
my device N97-RM505 FW: 22.0.110
Here are other people complaining about the same issues.

UP!
I have absolutely the same trouble.
When I sync gmail for the first time everything goes clear. After that I CAN recieve NEW mail on my phone on next syncs. I mean NEW is the mail, that haven't been read before with any other client.
But if I read this mail on other client, say in browser, the synchronization doesn't work anymore. I recieve no mails from that point.
Regards.
P.S. went back to 2.9.158, everything works well

  • Mail for Exchange - N82 - Gmail FULL Sync Working ...

I've just installed mail for excange on my N82, and set up the sync for my google apps account, for calendar and contacts (as i was using System Seven and it kept loosing half my contacts when syncing)! - Not happy.
I noticed that Google and Nokia don't support the e-mail push, although i thought i'd give it a go and i activated it anyway - And it is working great for me.
It created a new 'mail for exchange' folder in my messaging list, and works perfectly as a push email solution.
I've tested contacts, calendar and email and it is very fast and just 'works!' - Just wanted to know if anyone else is using this as there complete solution to sync with their google accounts?? as i cant find anyone being positive about the service. and for free.
Let me know if it's working for you, as seems to be 1000 times better than nokia messaging, by snycing everything including emails!
There must be a downside?  Will my data transfer be high? Or does it keep an open connection and only update when changes are made (like most other push systems)?
    Feedback will be great

So you can use MfE for your personal emails, without having a corporate exchange? if that's true and i can set this up with my personal website, gmail and hotmail, i'll download it and give it a whirl

  • Mail for Exchange on E52 Stops Sync

    Hi
I have a big problem with one of my co-workers phone.
I have tried setting up his mail4exchange on 3 different Nokias (E50-E51 and E52).
With the first to phones (E50 and E51), it syncs just fine, mail contacts calendar and all, but after a couple of days it just stops, no errors or anything. I have to create a new profile to get it to sync. But the same problem occurs time after time.
With the E52 I create the profile and it takes 4 Hours before the sync is complete for the first time, and works fine afterwards. Although it gets very slow after the first sync. 1 day later this phone also stops sync.
This guy have a very large inbox (~5GB data or 13000mails) and 750 contacts in his phonebook.
Is there a limit to how much the phone can handle? I have set it up to sync the bare minimum from the server. He doesn't want to use it to read old mail, only new stuff, and all his old mail is put in subfolders. But I can't set it just to read his inbox?! (I have tried calling Nokia Denmark)

For some reasson my phone also stopped syncing.
I found out, that the sync settings was reset. I think it happened during a sync where no connection was available.
I solved the issue by updating firmware
reentering "Sync What" og "Sync When"
Remender to go in to advanced settings and choose connection (Internet or wap)
    Have fun

  • E61 Mail for Exchange error -15002

I have an E61 that I'm testing for use with our Exchange Server 2003 (SP1 at the moment).
I have everything set right, or at least what I think is correct.
When I try to use the Mail for Exchange, I try and sync and just get an empty dialogue box with an ! in it. When I use the file manager to look at the log file (admin_log1), I just see the following error:
    System Error -15002
I have googled that error, look over my Exchange server's logs, and looked over some posts here. Nothing that would shed the light on why this is happening.
I'm hoping to be able to dump our corp. blackberry's for devices like this, but I cannot get it this connector to work. POP3 and OWA work just fine, but those are very limited in functionality.
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Thanks Sojan7,
You were right, the exchange server field is to be only the public url like servername.com without any http or /oma /exchange..
I also had some faults in my security settings in IIS that you others with this "empty dialog" problem should check.
1st. ActiveSync can´t use basic authentication, so you must make sure that integrated windows autheticatiation is on, for your /exchange-oma (or exchange for those who uses that one)
2nd. On my SBS the wizard had changed the security on Microsoft Server -ActiveSync to only accept the servers own IPs to connect.
3rd. I could not get it to work if you require to use certificates on the exchange-oma, úsing -Require SSL connection- dont work, but it can still be chosen in the phone without problems.
Also for some, you shouldn´t use a proxy in your gprs connecion.
    Hope this can help you

  • Mail for Exchange (N9): Need to confirm my own app...

    Hi all,
I'm new both to my N9 and to this forum, so forgive me if I ask stupid questions...
I've linked my N9 to my Exchange account via Mail for Exchange. My appointments sync, but when I open an appointment I'm prompted to confirm or deny the appointment as if someone had sent me an appointment request. But these are my own appointments from my own Exchange account - why would I need to confirm them?
Can I somehow set MfE to accept all appointments from this account?
While we're at it: How can I stop birthdays moving around by one or two days?
    Many thanks!
    N.

I set it up on my N9 the same way as I did on my N900 and it will not connect. I'm using Exchange server 2010 by the way.
I have exactly the same problem. I had a working integration with N900 and our Exchange 2010. There were a few tweaks I needed to do (including rooting the phone to get to modify hosts-file to include non-fqdn alias for our mail server and installing two extra certificates for getting the phone to accept our self-signed server cert. All this works like a champ on N900 and I've gotten pretty far with N9, too: I can now access our Mail for Exchange server (with the N9 web browser,  with HTTPS) using the "non-qualified" domain name and there are no complaints about the self-signed certs, either. So, basically the communication channel should be fine. This was much easier on N9 as you do not have to "root" the phone to get root access, it is available directly from the developer mode.
But what happens is exactly the same as you're seeing: MfE gets no connection with the Exchange server even though everything should be ok. There is, in fact, nothing in the Exchange server logs to help me any further. My collegue suspected that the mail client might need a "deeper" URL to the MfE server (URL pointing further than the root of the server) but MfE client does not accept anything else than the server address (and this was all that was needed for N900).
This really is a kind of showstopper as the MfE is the most important productivity tool for me. I have no reason to believe MfE would not work in some other combo, but seems like I am getting nowhere here.

  • N8 Mail for Exchange (can not send mails)

    Hi guys,
I just got my new Nokia N8. I already setup Mail for Exchange via IMAP to sync the mails, contacts and the calendar of my private mailbox.
Everything runs alright. But I can not send mails via Mail for Exchange. If I push on "New Mail" the program say the command can not be executed and breaks down.
Does someone know how to fix that problem?
     Thanks from Liechtenstein.
    Phil

    Hi,
I also had problems with unable to send emails.
I was getting error messages in the Mail for Exchange (MfE) log files such as
Setting DISK FULL status to false
Error occurred during sending mail. Setting status to waiting for reconnect
    HTTP failure while sending messages.
I figured out a work around. The problem seemed to be with the certificate.
I ended up deleting the certificate and then only selecting "Accept this time only" which made everything work.
    I am using a Nokia 5800.
    To delete a certificate goto
Setting > Phone > Phone mgmt > Security > Certificate Management > Trusted site certificates
find the offending certificate and delete it.
The next time I tried to synchronize my emails with Mail for Exchange, I was asked to select whether to accept the certificate... press the option button.
Then select "accept this time only".
After doing that, the emails in the outbox were sent properly.
I have to figure out how to get this to work permanently, but for the moment it was a quick fix.
[I hope this helps. I tried to be as descriptive as possible and write with correct spelling so that search engines will collect it.]

  • Mail For Exchange Error -15006

10 days ago we updated our microsoft exchange server 2003 to exchange 2007 sp2. All went fine. Almost all 300 cellphones synchronised over the internet without any problem except for two phones. One Nokia E61 and one Nokia E51. From blank i can only synchronise once. When i start synchronising for a second time i get the message "Error in exchange server" (translated)
I upgraded to the latest firmware and the latest mail for exchange version without solving the problem. Changing the account on the phone also did not solve the problem. So the conclusion is that the problem is not in the account.
In the adminlog of the nokia suite, which i installed to troubleshoot the problem, there is a Mail For Exchange Error -15006.
    Anyone have an idea?
    Thanks in advance.

It could be a servicepack issue. Read this:

  • Mail for exchange - memory and calendar

    I am using E63.
I set up mail for exchange successfully and could sync emails and calendar.  Currently, it's using phone memory.  How do I change it to use memory card?  also, the default calendar view changed from my personal calendar to my synced Outlook calendar.  Is there a way to switch them back and forth?
    Thanks
Message Edited by yuchieh on 12-Aug-2009 01:56 PM

    Hello
You can change the Memory in Use my the messaging app - go into messaging - Options - settings - other - memory in use.
The default view in the calendar is available within the calendar - options - settings - default view.
    I hope this helps.

  • Mail for Exchange and allowed models of phone

Could somebody tell me why my Nokia 6120 classic is not allowed to use Mail for Exchange tool. From my point of view there is some stupid marketing policy. As a result the policy just makes me to use third party software on my phone such as Roadsync.
Roadsync soft is working perfectly but why I have no ability to use native software from Nokia. It's some strange situation.

What do you mean? Is there some hardware or software problem which makes my phone incompatible with Mail for Exchange? I think the problem is just software stub which is purposely embedded into Mail for Exchange code in order to disable the tool on my model of phone.
I would like just to remind you that Roadsync is working properly on my phone.
Roadsync and Mail for Exchange use the same scheme of data synchronizing (Microsoft ActiveSync protocol)

  • Nokia 301 mail for exchange "waiting"

I am currently using a Nokia 301 with mail for exchange. However on the home screen instead of displaying the emails I just see a "waiting" message. Therefore I get no visual indication of any new email.
    Any ideas?

    Hi johnjryce,
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
Mail for Exchange doesn't support syncing of the subscribed calendars. You can only sync more folders to the default Inbox and Outbox folders by going to Options > Manage Subscribed Folders. But, we really appreciate your feedback.

  • Calendar sync problem with Mail for Exchange

I have troubles syncing my calendar with Mail for Exchange.
I've configured MfE the same way I did on my N8-00 and it worked perfectly there. On my new N9 it just syncs Mail and the ToDo list of from the Exchange Server. Any suggestions what I am doing wrong?
Also, when I remove my MfE settings, the Calendars still are in the Calendar App. How can I delete them?

    Hi,
There could be some problem with the contact sync, because you had synched with MFE . Remove the existing sync for Mail for exchange and then try creating a new sync and then check, That should maybe solve the issue.
I had mfe configured and then removed and now then i sync with the Address book and Ical. Seems to be working fine for me, just that i use a N95.
Hopefully it fixes, let me know the outcome.
    Cheers
    Sandy

  • Calendar Sync Problems with mail for exchange on e...

    Hello!
I upgraded my Nokia e52 to Software version 033.002.216.01 but now I am unable to sync with my mail for exchange Calendar. Settings are correct (in calendar settings Default mailbox is Mail for Exchange and in Email settings Calendar sync is "Yes") and I am still able to sync e-mail, but not calendar items.
Can anyone help me with this issue? Does anyone have the same problem after software upgrade?

I haven't solve the problem yet. Waiting for new firmware, might be it will solve the problem...

  • Problem with mail for exchange after update on E72...

    Hi everyone,
I updated Nokia E-mail to ver 3.9 on E72. Now I am facing  a problem with mail for exchange. I have configured gmail on mail for exchange. I recieve a warning that "unable to sync contact administrator if problem persist". It started to pop up just after the update was over and is very frustrating. Even previously i used to recieve mails instantly but now it generally takes half an hour for me to recieve them. I deleted and created mail for exchange several times but to no avail.
Also i am not able to automatically recieve mails other emails which i have configured. every time I have to manually download them everytime.
Can anybody suggest a way out.
    Thanks
    Anil

It could be a problem if you're using your network's connections...
I was on a Pay & Go tariff with o2 some time ago, and needed secure connections for various things, o2 told me they didn't provide secure connections on Pay & Go tariffs...
Could be worth checking with them to make sure it's supported.

  • N9 after PR 1.2 update - Mail for Exchange is sync...

I have a problem with my N9 Meego after 1.2 update. I have mail for exchange account talking with exchange 2010 server and sync works just just fine with calendar and e-mail. Contacts on otherhand doens`t work. It says its bringing contact like 78 from mail for exchange but when its done you can`t see any.
i have done my account again many times but still contacts aren`t working. Should I do some hardreset but does that uninstall PR 1.2 update?
Help is needed or any ideas what could be done?
    -mika

Hey mate,  As far as I am aware there is no going back from PR 1.2, so you could try hardreset without concern of loosing this update.  Keep in mind you are likely to lose data, so make sure you back it up first.
I am sure of this, as I have tried to go back to PR 1.1 to get my mail exchange to work and even with trying to flash the device "downgrade disallowed" comes up and prevents me getting rid of the PR 1.2
You are luckier than me, I can't get mail, calender or contacts.  I am so annoyed that I accepted the update.  I am hoping that Nokia take note of this and fix the mail exchange in a new update

  • Mail for Exchange - calendar sync fails

    Hi,
I upgraded recently my N73 with the latest release of the firmware and the latest release of Mail For Exchange.
Before that change, I had no problem to sync my mobile phone with our server Exchange 2007.
Unfortunately, after the upgrades, like many other people of this forum, I cannot succeed in synchronizing my calendar (it seems that my mobile phone is stuck in the endless loop). I've tried the various solutions written in the other posts of this forum but without success (define an end-date of recurring events, no blank event, ...).
Does anyone solved the issue ?
    Thank you in advance !

    Hi,
I uninstalled the last release of MfE. I reinstalled an old version (2.05.003) and it worked immediately ! So many people are spending so much time with the last release trying to sync calendar... :-(
