Mail for preview without opening

Does anyone know of a mail program that would be good for previewing the emails without opening them. I sent a friend an email with some attachments and he has a PC. Norton antivirus popped up on his pc and said virus threat in email. I do not go on any sites that would have viruses. I am concerned that I may have picked one up by opening my mail. I was wondering if I could be sending a virus to a pc and it is sent out in my email if that is possible. When I delete my mac mail I have to click on it to open it. So i don't have an option, but to open it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

What is it you want to do?
You can mark stuff you know is junk that mail doesn't flag, and it will begin to learn to flag those items automatically.
If you don't open the email, how do you know it is junk.
You don't have to turn the preview pane on in Mail. You can just have a list and double-click to open the email in another window.
However, opening an infected email on a Mac won't do anything. So, if you think it is spam, you can delete it and nothing will happen. You won't pass that virus on. It will not embed itself into the system and attach to every email you send.
Entourage is very old and is part of Microsoft Office:Mac.

As you can do using Thunderbird, you can click in the Junk column of a message that immediately marks it as junk and moves it to the junk mail folder without opening the message.

Make sure your inbox has the junk mail toggle button on its toolbar by using View menu -> Customize Toolbar.

It will not open any spam if you just click on it in the inbox, and select the spam toggling toolbar icon.

You can't, but if you create a signature on another Mac with a built-in camera, or an Apple display with a camera, you can move the signature to the mini.

Mail for Excahange not loading

Currently have an N95 which for months has been running Mail for Exchange without a problem. Suddenly now every time I try to launch MfE or synchronise my email the phone reverts back to the home screen and does not display the MfE interface at all.
Has anyone had this problem?
Would a hard reset help?
Are there any logs available on the phone that would tell me what is going wrong?
Any advice on why this has just started happening would be useful.

This issue is with my SSL certificate. I have created self signed certificate and hosted in IIS. This certificate is not trusted by the IOS. So it is blocked the app.
I hosted my site where the SSL certificate is available. Thne the app is working fine in all the devices.

You know , I am an OCD . I alway's close my Mail app and miss many important new emails .

What I do is open the Mail.app, then click the red traffic light (upper left corner of the main Mail.app window) to close that window. The app itself will remain running and you will get updates - this helps keep the desktop tidy while while the mail app remains running. When an update is received, simply click the either the mail icon in your dock or go to the Mail.app menu and click Window > Message Viewer.

I have owned my MacBook Pro for several months. Initially, I did not have any problems. Now I have a problem with Yahoo Mail. I can open my account, but when I try to get at my mail, 2 out of 3 times I get the spinning ball that never stops. Now what?

I have owned my MacBook Pro for several months without having any problems with it. Recently I am having trouble with my Yahoo Mail. I can open it fine, but 2 out of 3 times when I try to actually open a message, the spinning ball comes on the screen and does not stop. Sometimes, I can log out or force quit and come back in to my account and use it. Other times, I run into the same problem. Any suggestions?

Not possible. In order to read an email in the preview pane requires opening the message. You can mark a message that you've read as unread after reading it.

The mail app will not display fillable form fields in PDF files that can be seen in real PDF apps. I say real PDF apps because the form fields in PDF apps will not appear in the iBooks app either. IMO, iBooks is not a real PDF app.

If you have a Zip drive, you can handle the file as you would any other file. Copy and paste. Drag and drop. Select and attach as an email attachment.
Zip drive data discs came in two capacities, 100MB and 250MB. So the largest files would not exceed those capacities, depending on the media from which they are pulled.
The trick, I should think, would be finding a working drive that can read the media... and hope that media is not corrupted. Zip media was notorious for failing.

Returns: nothing
This method exports the form data and mails the resulting FDF file as an attachment to all recipients,

You must use a semicolon u201C;u201D to separate multiple recipients in cTo, cCc, cBcc parameters.
The length limit for cSubject and cMsgBody is 64k bytes.

Well crap! Internet explorer goes direct to actual pdf, would'nt you know it, safari wont! I will have to change my pdf order form to include instructions on how to find that toggle thing at the bottom so it wont wig out safari users.
Kind of *****, if people dont know they have to click the open in preview choice, my form wont work.
Thought maybe it was an HTML issue that could be overidden.

Spoofing ?? Delete eMail without opening 'Mail'

Can I delete a specific emails without opening the 'Mail' program? A company sent me an email saying I must log in to a certain web site. I don't want to do this, and want to instead delete this message. I did manage to move it to the TRASH so I can again use Mail. But if I attempt to open TRASH to delete everything, I get this pop up window that puts me in a loop.

What you need to do to avoid reading messages that have these types of popups embedded is go to Mail > Preferences > Viewing and uncheck "Display remote images in HTML messages"; and change the configuration of your Mail window so that selecting a message does not open it in the viewing pane automatically.
To do this, open Mail, look for the horizontal bar with the dot in the middle running across the right side of the mail window and double-click it to move it to the bottom of the window. From then on, as long as that bar is positioned there, you will need to double-click a Mail message to open it, so you can delete any message without opening it or reading it.

How do you delete mail and trash in OSX 10.9.2 without opening them. I don't want to open suspect mail that might cause a problem.

I think you can just drag it to the trash folder. Otherwise you have to select it and press delete. If you have the preview window going, just selecting it will open it. So you have to have the preview window closed.
P.S.
I don't think you can get into any trouble just opening a message in Apple Mail.

I would like to be able to send email using either an Applescript or a shell script that would send email without opening Mail.app. The ideal solution would be using an account and settings (such SSL encryption of my password) that are stored in mail.app. However, if that is not possible, I could set up another email account to be used just for the purpose I have in mind so I don't have to worry about my password being exposed in clear text.
I've seen Applescripts that open Mail.app and then hide it in the background but the key requirement for my particular need is that Mail.app never open during the send process. I synchronize my email between my iMac and my Powerbook using Chronosync so it is critical that none of the files that store or index the actual mail in Mail.app be opened so as not to alter their modification dates.

If you upgrade to 10.4 there is a widget that will let you compose and send mail without opening Mail.
Here's two other options.
1. Does your isp have a web based email?
2. Download a program like thunderbird for email. When you configure it end phony information for incoming mail and only fill in the correct infor for outgoing mail.

Basically all I'm trying to do is to build an app for multiple users in one company. Each employer (user) is stored in collection with their password and email address. To get access to man screen of the app, employee must login in login screen. Chose his
name and type the password. I want to add a button for forgotten password so in case one of the employee would forget his password he can click on the button and receive on his email his password. The email what he will get would be for example from
[email protected] with mail body : your password is 12345.
So is that what you meant I can do with WADL generator?
