Mail format has no lines

Question

When I send I new email message, the message window only has text, no dividing lines.
Any thoughts?

Fill in an address, press return. The cursor will move to the next address box.
Click on '''To:''' to change it to '''Cc:''' or '''Bcc:''', amongst other options. If you were going to, say, address a message to one person as '''To:''', and three others as '''Cc:''', then you'd enter the first address, which would default to '''To:'''. When you press return, it will open a new box. Change its '''To:''' to '''Cc:''' now, then enter the first '''Cc:''' address. The next box to open, when you press return, will "adopt" the preceding message's style, i.e. '''Cc:''', and so will subsequent addresses. This is more efficient than entering them all as '''To:''' and going back to change each one by hand later.
I guess you don't use the Contacts Sidebar in the write window, because if you did you wouldn't be asking these questions. Press F9 to reveal this (and F9 to turn it off again.)
