Hi , my Nokia N73 Phone freezes when sending a message. Other unctions are working fine.
The phone software is updated with latest version.
    Need help guys!!!
    Cheers
    Sachin

update you stuff and try code number two, you will lose all phone data but it might help your issue
*#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list.
    *#7370# - Reformat your phone
This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working. Turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.

  • Mail Freezes when sending forward or reply

    Hi there,
Starting two days ago Mail.app has been freezing when I am trying to send a reply to a, or a forwarded, email. I have searched this discussion group and found a thread at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3272941&#3272941 , but I don't think that it applies to me because:
    A. I'm working with a POP account, not a .Mac account.
    B. If I'm reading the Hawkwings and Macgeekery stories cited in the thread correctly, they're talking about freezes when hitting the "forward" or "reply" buttons. My Mail.app freezes when I tell it to send the message.
    C. Does not come out of beach ball mode. Must have to force quit to cure.
However I did take care to check my keychain to make sure that it wasn't checking .Mac and or for any certificates. It isn't. Also made sure that my preferred network connection was listed first. I also rebuilt my mailbox. What's really puzzling is that I can send new messages at will with no hassle.
    Any Suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Malcolm.
The fact that in your case Mail doesn’t freeze until hitting Send indicates that your problem is different, indeed.
Anyway, in addition to ensuring that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list in System Preferences > Network > Show: Network Port Configurations, try turning OFF all the port configurations except the one needed to connect to Internet and see whether that helps — if it doesn’t, turn ON again the ones you want enabled.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
Do you have any Mail plug-ins or system utilities that could interfere with Mail? In the Finder, go to each of the following folders (if they exist). What do you see there?
    /Library/StartupItems/
    /Library/InputManagers/
    ~/Library/InputManagers/
    /Library/Mail/Bundles/
    ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.
    <hr>
Try to obtain additional information as follows:
    1. Open /Applications/Utilities/Console.
    2. From the File menu, choose either Open Console Log, or Open System Log, or both, so that Console displays the contents of both system.log and console.log.
    3. Reproduce the problem and look at the bottom of the Console windows for messages that might be written there as a result. If any, they may provide some clues.
    <hr>
Try this to check whether the problem is system-wide:
    1. Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Accounts and create a new user account for testing purposes.
    2. Either log out of your main user account or just quit Mail so that it does not interfere with the other user account.
    3. Log in as the newly created user and set up Mail anew there.
    4. For spam-related security reasons, go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it’s enabled.
    5. If you set up a POP account, go to Preferences > Accounts > Advanced and disable Remove copy from server after retrieving a message if it’s enabled, to avoid messages being accidentally removed from the server while testing.
    6. Check whether the problem also happens when logged in as another user.

  • IMessages freezes when sending a message

Recently, (past few days), everytime i try to send an iMessage via my MBP 2GHz i7 8GB RAM 500GB HDD it freezes..
I get the coloured spinny wheel and then after a few seconds it sends the message, but this happens EVERY time :/
Wonder if anyone else has a solution or is experiencing the problem too?

    Hi,
Although you are unlikely to see a spinning beachball on an iOS device are they slower in Sending as well ?
It is more likely to be a Server issue.

  • Mail freezes when opening certain messages

I have a few messages that I cannot open on mail , when I click on them the searching wheel starts to spin and freezes there and I need to force quit mail.

I've had the same problem for a while and I think I might have found a solution. I posted the below in a different forum. Let us know if it works for you:
So, I was reading the following document:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25717
and this got me thinking that it might be a font issue. So I followed the instructions and looked at the font I have set as my default font, in my case Trebuchet MS, using Font Book (in your applications folder). Anyway, I noticed that there were two copies of "regular" installed. I disabled one of them and then I was able to respond to an email that was hanging all morning!!!!
So, look at your fonts for anything that looks suspicious like corrupted fonts (see document link) or duplicate fonts, etc....
I will report back if my Mail problems comes back again.

  • Mail crashes when sending a message

i'm pretty sure this is a glitch that is occurring due to the recent iphone software update because i have never had any trouble here before. secondly, i am using gmail set up with IMAP on my phone (i followed all the online guides and it has worked perfectly up to this point)
so, the problem. pretty basic. whenever i tap "send" to send my email message from my iphone it just crashes inexplicably. i have rebooted several times and i just really do not want to have to restore the phone and lose all my texts and everything, any ideas?

    Hey,
The sync backs up:iTunes Sync Settings, SMS conversations, Notes, Safari Cookies, Safari History, Maps Favorites, Wallpaper image, Call History, YouTube Bookmarks, Voicemail Settings, Keyboard Dictionary, Application Settings, and photos taken using the iPhone.
I would first try to remove the account and then add it again as described in these articles:
    https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=77702
    http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=77695
If you see the same issue after adding the account again, restore the iPhone.

  • Mac Mail Freezes When I try to Delete Trash

Mac Mail Freezes when I try to delete trash.  Spinning wheel of death goes for 10 - 15 minutes and freezes the entire computer.  Please Help!

BDAqua -& Thoma_r - I did a safe boot, did repair permissions.  2 of the "Permission Differs" messages:
Permissions differ on "private/var/log/secure.log", should be -rw------- , they are -rw-r----- .
Permissions differ on "Library/Application Support/ProApps/Internal Plug-Ins/BrowserKit/iLife.bkplugin/Contents/CodeResources", should be -rw-rw-r-- , they are lrwxr-xr-x . and around 30 more...  Nothing about MacMail that I could tell.
    There are 8 messages:
Group differs on "Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaPluginCocoa.bundle/Contents/CodeResources", should be 80, group is 0.
Went into Console and was very confused as the dates start 2000 and ends at 2010 and nothing I could decipher as MacMail.
    Is this MacMail?

  • Mail Freezes When Opening

Mail freezes when I even open it. I have read for hours the various reports of this problem but none of the solutions or descriptions seems to fit me or help.
The problem began just yesterday, but it would freeze when I would begin deleting messages, even though I could get past the opening. I was able to delete one or two, then it would freeze and I would have to do a force quit. Now, after quitting and opening a half dozen times, it freezes even when I try to open.
I have downloaded the latest Mail updates/software
I have allowed mail to rebuild the Envelope Index file
I have repaired permissions on the HD
I have rebuilt each of the In Box mailboxes
I have rebooted the computer without power attached, waited, attached power and rebooted.
I have seven POP accounts plus the .mac account
I can't figure out what else to do and this just started yesterday after a fairly flawless experience with Mail of late. Please help! I am paralyzed in keeping up with e-mails.

I went to the Apple Store and the Genius Bar expert downloaded a recent "fix" for Mail that is not part of the software upgrades. You can get it by searching Mail for Mail Update downloads. He had to also import my mail boxes and preference list files after installing the update. It mostly seems okay now but I am not sure as I have just begun to use it again and it does not feel as stable as before. Just last night I notice a very strange thing. Any mail from amazon.com that I try to open or delete instantly freezes the program again and I have to force quit. I found one other reference to this on the discussion boards, but no explanation. I was able to manually drag the amazon.com e-mail to the trash and get rid of it but this morning another appeared, and also caused freezing. The amazon.com mail was not my initial problem, though it might have been part of it, since deleting anything would freeze things before, and finally I could not even launch mail without it freezing. That is now fixed, but there are still strange things going on here.

  • Mail freezes when I try to send a group an attachment from contacts

I tried to send an e-mail group located in my Contacts app a .pdf attachment but the Mail app freezes and does not send the e-mail.  When I manually input the e-mail addresses and try to send the same attachment the e-mail goes through just fine.  Has anyone had the same problem trying to send a Contacts group an attachment?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

  • Mail freezes when I send to a certain address

I have one particular email address for a colleague that whenever I send him an email, mail freezes and I get the spinning ball. I have to force quit and relaunch mail at which time mail sends the message.
I have repaired permissions, am completely up date on 10.6.6, deleted and recreated the address card for the colleague but I suspect the problem may be the auto fill address in mail might be using some older corrupt version of the address to send the message.
Any thoughts on how I can correct this without resorting to the workaround, force quitting and relaunching mail eveytime I send this person an email?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

  • Mail freezes when i type receiver in a new message.

When i type the receiver name, in a new mail message, the mail freezes. Can anybody help me?

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folder.
    Back up all data.
    Quit Mail.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you'll have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Post your results.
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
