Mail from within apps not working since iOS 4.2

Since updating to iOS 4.2, I can no longer send email from within apps, such as Penultimate, Artrage, photo roll etc. Any ideas?

Since downloaded iOS 8.2 on my iPhone 4S the camera won't work. It is just black. Sometimes we can scroll between photo, video etc, but most the time the whole thing is locked up. I have tried rebooting the phone. Nothing works.

IChat not working since iOS 5 update

My iChat is not working since the iOS 5 update. Everytime I go to log in it says: "iChat can not communicate with the AIM account..." Is anyone else having a problem since the new update was released?

(iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts > Server Settings)

In Previous versions iChat was set up to automatically change the Server Name fro AIM logins when starting or turning Off SSL. (it tended to look like the leading "s" appeared or disappeared).
IT Changed from login.oscar.aol.com to slogin.oscar.aol.com
There are suggestions that this does not happen now.
It is not known if this is done deliberately for "Security" or an error in the Update file.

Apps not working on ios 4.0?

I purchased the Top Gun app before i updated to ios 4.0 and it was working just fine. Now after installing ios 4.0 it won't load up any levels and just automatically goes straight back to the home screen. After reading many reviews on the app (Annoyingly I read them after buying it) it seems that Paramount (Developers) have not added an update yet, so that it would be possible to play this game on ios 4.0 firmware. How do you get Apple or Paramount to notice this problem? I've reported it to Paramount and I never get any replies, and the same has happened to a lot of other customers. How can they not take any notice of us? We have all paid £1.19 for something that we can't even use. Surely Apple could have a word with the developers...I just want this to be sorted out for me and everyone else who have bought this app and other apps that may not work on ios 4.0. This is an issue that needs addressing!

Developers are probably working at the moment trying to update and optimize all their apps for iOS4, whilst producing new apps. It is a tough job for them, and they will update in time. I'm sure they have taken notice of all the reviews calling for an update and are working as hard as they can.

Forwarding Exchange calendar invites from calendar app not working

We have Samsung Windows 8 phones and have discovered a problem with forwarding calendar invitations from within the calendar app on Exchange 2010 / ActiveSync.
User A on Exchange 2010 will create a new meeting request and send it to user B. User B will accept the calendar invitation on their Windows 8 phone. User B will then go into the calendar app on their phone and forwards the calendar item to User C. User
C does not receive anything nor does User A receive a notification that their original meeting invite has been forwarded. No error messages are shown on User B's phone. It's as if the forwarded item simply vanishes.
With the same scenario as above, if User B does NOT initially accept the meeting invite from User A and instead immediately forwards the invite to User C from within the MAIL app on his phone, before accepting the meeting, User C receives the invitation
as per normal and User A receives notification that their meeting request was forwarded, as expected.
If User B does NOT initially accept the meeting invite from User A, but then goes into the calendar app on their phone and attempts to forward the meeting request (showing as tentative as they have not accepted it yet), User C still does not receive anything
and User A does not get notification.
This appears to be a bug within the Calendar application on Windows 8 phones as forwarding meeting invites works fine from within the Mail app (provided the user has not accepted the meeting yet - once the meeting has been accepted in the mail app, the item
"disappears" and is no longer accessible except from within the Calendar app).
This is a pretty major issue with heavy calendar users (e.g. executives) as they will be forwarding accepted meeting requests from their calendars and without receiving any error messages will assume the forwarded invitation has gone through, when in fact
it hasn't.

We have reproduced this issue internally and are filing a bug to get this issue fixed. As soon as we have an update to this, we will report back on this thread. Thank you for raising this issue.

My Verizon app not working after iOS 7 update

I have an iphone 4s. After I upgraded to ios 7, the my verizon app stopped working. Today, the app got an update in the app store to version 3.6.0. I installed the update, but it still does not work. When I run it, it spins the circle dots for a while and comes back with "Error: A communication error has occured [sic]. Please ensure Internet connection and try again." And it has a "Reload App" button, which I press, and it does the same thing. This happens whether I'm on wifi or 3g. Several times I've tried rebooting the phone, deleting and reinstalling the my verizon app, but it still doesn't work. Does anyone else have this problem? How did you solve it? Thanks.

I did the network reset, but that didn't help. FYI if you're thinking of resetting network settings, the only negative side-effect is that the phone forgets all of its wifi networks.
I did a restore from backup via iTunes, and that didn't help either.
I've had a couple other issues with iOS 7, and what I did was reset the firmware via iTunes but I didn't restore from backup. Now My Verizon works. The reason I did this drastic step was because my Safari was messed up in iOS 7 in another way, and restoring from backup didn't help that either, but I had a hunch that getting Safari fixed would fix My Verizon. (I can't know for sure if I was right about that.)
Here's the thing: Apps like My Verizon that really just load web pages use Safari's settings for the web. So I would try this if I were still stuck with My Verizon not working: Go into Safari settings, and clear cookies and history and cache data, and make sure the "Block Cookies" setting is set to either "Never" or "From third parties and advertisers." Then reboot your phone for good measure, and try My Verizon again.

My I message is not working, since IOS 8.3 update.

My messages is not working properly, since IOS 8.3 update. Message are left hanging as undelivered. When I tap on "try again" nothing happens. Even messages to known contacts with I phones, appear in green and does not get delivered anyway. I have reset my i phone several times to no avail. I like my I phone 6+ as a camera. All other functions are less than impressive.

Menu bar dropdowns not working since iOS 5 update

Since the iOS 5 update for the iPhone when opening up certain web pages the dropdown menus stopped working even with the latest release. However in Safari there doesn't seem to be an issue. Obviously it was something to do with the updated web browser.
Is there a simple workaround for the webpage? Currently it would be a time consuming task to update the script for each page of the secure website?
How can someone submit an issue directly to Apple for this to be adressed in the iOS6 update?

Thanks for the quick response. Im aware that Safari is the browser in iOS5 for iPhone. Just to be clear, when using a web browser (Safari, ie firefox,opera) from a PC or MAC there are no issues with the dropdown menus with the web pages.
Before the iOS5 came out for the iPhone the dropdown menus worked properly without issue in previous versions. I even tried using various other browsers from the app store and still have the issue on the iPhone which leads me to believe the issue lies with the original code in iOS5.
I hoping to see this was an issue others. Will try the link provided to the developers.
If it cant be resolved with iOS6 my next option is to create an app. I dont want to change my web app coding at this point.

Sky Go App not working since I downloaded the new Apple iTunes

Since I downloaded the new itunes upgrade on my iPad watching downloaded programmes have been a complete nightmare. I keep getting an error message: "Video Unavailable - Sorry, the app is currently unable to connect to the stream - please try again. If the problem persists pleases try re-starting the app. Code 3-25" Firstly why do I have to connect to the stream when its a downloaded program and secondly how to I fix it. I have deleted the app and reloaded it, rebooted my iPad and its still not working. I've gone onto flight mode. Anyone have any ideas.

You plug your phone in to your Mac or PC and when Itunes pops up go to select on your phone on the right hand side. Then click on Apps (in the center of the itunes menu). Then Scroll to the bottom where it says File Sharing and then select the app you want to transfer the music from your phone to you computer. Hightlight the files you want and click Save To.

Texas Holdem - not working since iOS 8?

For years I have been a fan of Apple's Texas Hold'em (think it's version 1.1).
The game starts but none of the settings and scores are remembered.
It worked perfectly until I got an iPhone 6 running iOS 8. (iPhone 4/iOS 7.x)
Every time you start the app it's like you've never played it before.
- Has anyone seen this behaviour?
- Any workaround?

I wish I would've known this before I upgraded the OS. I, like everyone here loved to crank up my winnings playing the computer when I had a little downtime. Fun little game that was simple and easy to play. I had 90M and was working towards cracking 100.
Restoring the app wouldn't work since it doesn't respect the settings any longer.
This was Apple's only game. It's too bad they couldn't ensure compatibility going forward.

Apps not working after iOS 5 update

My friend has updated his iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and some of his apps including facebook and twitter aren't working. Tried re-syncing and turning off and on but still not working. Any suggestions?

Not my issue. Many apps do update fine. 5 pesky ones are being difficult and refuse to update. Tried on various wifi networks with same result. Other applications do update. All the latest as far as iOS is concerned although sadly I am still using an iPad 2.
What is the same is only that a number of my applications in the App Store fail to update on my iPad 2.

Facebook app not working since new update

Ever since I installed the new update for the phone about 2 weeks ago my FB app won't work anymore. It pops up with an error message. It's the FB app that came with the phone. I can still access everything else. I'm also having more trouble with my advanced task killer since the update. Everytime I open it theres a ton of apps running that I haven't touched so I switched my settings to the "crazy" auto-kill level but it's still not working. Help please...

For Facebook, search the market for Facebook for Android. This is the updated version of the stock Facebook. It will save over the Facebook app that is currently installed(it won't erase your data) plus this will alert you when there are new app updates.
For your tasktiller, Froyo has a decent task killer built in. There are always small tasks that happen in the background for different apps. I find that my battery lasts a little longer after I uninstall advanced task killer.

HP Apps Not Working Since Win 8.1 Upgrade

Just trying to run my Officejet 8600 via WiFi using the HP Scan and Capture, and HP AiO Printer Remote apps.
I was able to use them successfully before the upgrade to Windows 8.1, but now the apps just launch, and then indefinitely do nothing. The icons appear in my dock, but when clicked just trigger the animation of a window opening that then immediately disappears.
I did a series of maneuvres in command prompt to enable SOME apps to work after the OS upgrade, but apparently that hasn't fixed either of my two HP applications.
I see lots of people just saying "Help, oh no, my printer won't work" while providing little to no explanation of their problem. Hopefully this is enough to get somewhere? Any advice is welcome.
I'm running a desktop PC that I put together in 2012: Asus motherboard, >3ghz AMD cpu, 16gig ram, Nvidia graphics, solid state HD, so I doubt I have a hardware problem.
Of course, I could just use a USB drive for scanning, but it really frustrates me that the features for which I specifically picked this printer suddenly won't work. And I don't even know if one can print from USB, but that's more trouble than I'm willing to go through on a regular basis. I assume I'd at least have to PDF everything first... no thanks.
Please help! Happy to troubleshoot or provide more information as necessary.

Have you tried uninstalling the store apps and reinstalling them? If you have trouble uninstalling, you can refer to this article

You can then reinstall HP AiO Remote and HP Scan and Capture from the Windows Store.

Wifi not working since ios 7?

Hey guys i'm sure this has been posted a few times, could'nt find any answers.. anwyay, I have 4S and since ios 7 my wifi dosnt work, has come on rarely if phone has died of battery and been left for a while it would come on..I read that its because since the update it will turn off wifi is the temperature in the phone is too high.. Is this true? Is there anyway to turn off if so? and can i go back to older ios to see if it fixes it? Is a real pain as i dont have good signal my way so i rely on the wifi on my phone quite heavily, thanks guys!
